1. 4/5Great app as far as the content

   I love the content of the app. The lessons are very useful and it helped the very first round after a handful of lessons. The reason for 4 stars is the app navigation. I really like listening in the car on the way to golf tournaments, but it’s difficult to navigate the lessons. When you go into a section, listen to a lesson, there is no way to skip to the next one on the list. You have to hit the back button which takes you all the way back to the home page. Then you have to choose the section again, and scroll down to find the next lesson. It’s very hard to do while in the car. A next lesson button would be fantastic.

2. 2/5Interface is glitchy and doesn’t flow well

   I’ve used the app for three weeks. The content is good and thought provoking. The exercises and journal entries invoke a lot of self reflection and are great for improving internal dialogue. The app itself is frustrating, cumbersome and glitchy. You have to open the app constantly to move on between 2-10 minute audios. There’s no flow to the programs and the user is forced to go back to a main menu and search for where they just left off in a program. It’s incredibly frustrating. There’s also a little check mark that appears in the corner of an audio within a program that lets you know if you’ve finished the audio, but that only works about 10% of the time. So, it’s essentially a useless feature. There are times like right now when you can get past the daily motivation screen when you open the app and the app just becomes unusable. You’re just left staring at a quote generator and a continue button that does nothing. For $70 these issues should be nonexistent. I recommend they update it to allow better flow between audios and fix all the buggy interface issues.

3. 5/5Invest in your mind

   If you love golf and have invested in equipment, coaching, fitness and have yet to invest in the power that your mind brings to the game, you need to check out Mind Caddie. AND the brand new addition (AI) is mind blowing! It’s only been out for a few days and the responses are really on point - not cookie cutter and each response ends with a thought provoking question that can get you to think about your personal situation a bit more deeply and you can engage in an ongoing ‘conversation’! You gotta try it out! ——— Just want to add an update: this app is all I’ve said above and more. The range of 5-8 minute lessons are grouped by topic. You hear Karl’s voice instead of just reading text and the AI element is amazing: I’ve used it a lot. I’ve even asked tricky questions and it can read between the lines and give you good feedback and the follow up questions it gives you prompts you look deeper into what you have going on.

   I’ve really enjoyed this app. It’s an incredibly rich source of mental game wisdom, insights, and tools. As a competitive amateur and sport psychologist, I’ve found its actionable practices beneficial both personally and professionally. Karl and his team are dedicated to presenting quality content and are constantly seeking feedback and refining the app. Monthly live webinars with Karl and the recent addition of the Karl AI feature offer a combination that’s hard to beat.

5. 3/5Great idea I think the app needs work

   I really enjoy the content I’ve had the chance to listen to, but I probably won’t be subscribing. I used the seven-day free trial, and while I love the information provided, I find it difficult to keep track of which audio clips I’ve listened to, which programs I’ve started, and which I haven’t. Switching between tracks is overly complicated, especially when I’m driving. Every 5 to 10 minutes, I have to go back a screen, scroll to the next audio clip, and play it manually. If the platform could be organized in a more user-friendly way with smoother navigation, I would likely purchase a one-year subscription to try it out.
