1. 1/5Caesar’s rewards are better

   MGM will nickel and dime you to death with their rewards. If you are only going to Vegas it might be alright but if you want to stay at other MGM resorts I’m told I don’t have comps. I’m a pearl rewards member. I’m 2/3 the way to Gold. I even signed up for credit card thinking that might help with room reservations but it doesn’t. Ceasars always offer me comped rooms no matter if I was just at one of there hotel/casino. You would think that was a good thing for MGM but I was penalized for my trip in April 2023 after talking to one of the rudest hosts I have ever encountered with MGM national harbor in Maryland. The hotel is beautiful but so are all the Ceasars hotels/casinos. No need to keep using the MGM credit card but incentive to give my credit card business to ceasers. Let’s face it with the above higher than normal APRs they charge you would think they would want you to use so they would benefit from the high APR. Guess business is good for them. Plus for me since Caesar’s opened new Casino much closer to me.

2. 3/5SO Many Issues Just Trying To Sign In

   I cannot seem to EVER sign in “cleanly.” By that, I mean by simply entering my email and password. “NOPE, that password is not correct.” I click on the little eyeball icon to make sure I’ve entered it correctly. I look at the email address I’ve entered. Why, YES, it IS correct— at least it was last time I reset it (last time I opened the app, …. Because…..it always, Always, ALWAYS…. “Is not correct” and had to be reset. If you try your password (that you KNOW is correct because you wrote it in your little password book along with the date you had to reset it) …. If you try three time, BOOM! Locked out! Gotta wait (sit in the corner) for a while. Or reset it, which you have to do EVERY STINKING TIME you attempt to open it. And you cannot use any previous password, any letters, numbers or symbols you’ve ever used, and any previous language. I’m exaggerating that part but not by much. Exasperating is the “cleanest” word I can use for review purposes. I generally give up. It is the same whether on the app or the website. And NO, their software IS the issue. I know what password I used — I am VERY meticulous at writing it down, along with the date I had to change it. This one has a whole page in my password book of passwords/dates crossed out because they were reset. Ridiculous! Crappy software? Crappy platform?

3. 5/5This App Works Wonderfully

   I am a frequent Vegas visitor and a member of all the loyalty programs across the strip. MGM gives me room offers that include free play and resort credit, that is a big plus, and usually influences my decision to stay at their properties. Sometimes the offer of free play and resort credit cancel out the resort fees and it’s like a full comp with the chance to win more. I like that I can “check in” 48 hours prior to arrival. This makes it so when I do arrive I have a good chance of being able to check in without waiting in line and make my own digital keys or use my phone as my key. When I book a trip to one of their properties I get a challenge goal during that trip that boosts my tier level or reward credits, I’ve done that successfully several times. Lastly, a benefit of this app shows me how my rewards points were accrued. I see the type of spend, and the points earned. No other loyalty program provides this data.

4. 3/5Not as easy to use as other hotel apps

   Been a rewards member for a while but back in the day I didn’t use phone apps all that much. I was hoping this app would allow me to quickly access existing reservations but it doesn’t. To access I have to click on BOOK which is dumb because it’s already booked. I then have to click on MGM resortsd, not intuitive at all since I presume I am already using a rewards app. Then I have to click scroll down to the Mlife rewards button and click join again aren’t I already in an Mlife rewards app and didn’t i already log into Mlife rewards? Oh and finally my room reservation is way down at the bottom. Come on. Check it the Hilton app. Immediately when I log in I see my upcoming reservation which is what I need 99% of the time. If I want new ones I can do that too, but the immediate critical information is right on opening. I don’t have to bounce around. Same goes for any airline app too. You would thin MGM would see the paradigm and be close.

5. 1/5Huge Disappointment!

   Where do I start, well coming from a back ground of restaurant/Casino management I can only say that our stay there was not what we expected, We went there to get married and it was my husbands first time there so I wanted a grand room with a strip view and we got a room with a view of the airport strip and a corner view of the end of the strip which isn’t what we wanted or expected, so I called the desk to let them know and they didn’t offer to let us switch rooms, only proceeded to tell us we got what we wanted then we went to the buffet after getting married and paid 71 dollars I could not believe how unappetizing the food looked and there was not a lot to choose from, so we went to get the prime rib since Vegas is known for the Prime Rib and we got to our table and my husband asked what that smell was and I was like, what do you mean and we smelled the meat and it smelled so bad, I couldn’t even eat it, so I basically didn’t eat and my husband ended up getting sick to his stomach from something that he ate which could have been the sausage or prime rib that he took one bite of. We don’t drink so the free beer and wine didn’t sell us, so 71 dollars that we spent to eat there was way overpriced especially since we both walked out still hungry and unable to eat because of the smell and look of the food! I wanted to make my Husbands first visit unforgettable and boy I guess this is one way he won’t forget it! Also when I went up to a few of the MGMs employees and said “excuse me can u tell us where the Buffet is?” We got ssshhh with a index finger up at us, just wow, It was horrible and we will make sure that we will take our business elsewhere, thanks but no thanks for the huge disappointment!
