1. 5/5iPad, it Leave Much to be Desired

   It has its gives and takes. List layouts are fantastic! The opening page, not so much. It never shows the accurate index volume compared to the day before; either open the index or go to the MarketSurge web platform or IBD. The news feeds you have to slide down to populate or refresh. The charts do not show the 50-day average volume. Use the crosshairs and place them on the volume horizontal 50-day to get an approximate value. The list layout is a magnificent concept. It gives you a snapshot, but scrolling a page or two down, many don’t populate. I have closed it out and reopened it on multiple occasions. I have followed customer service's suggestion of uninstalling and installing on multiple occasions, which works for a little while, but then resorts to doing the same. If you have an iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) with a keyboard, open settings/general/keyboard, turn off shortcuts and predictive text, and use the Safari platform. It's a lot less aggravating!

2. 5/5MarketSmith is the best and most comprehensive Technical Service on the Planet

   This is a 100% unsolicited review. Everybody at this IBD firm should go home with a good feeling about what they do. I am 47, I have a life, a wife, 3 young daughters, age 15,13, & 12. I make a good living, and I am scared to death about making it all work financially. I plan to support, send them to college, buy them cars, and be there for them every step of the way just like any good husband, and dad would do. Being a husband, and a dad is the best part of my life. Failure is not an option!! This service is not just about stocks and money. This service is giving me belief that I can take care of the people I love, and maybe have a chance to retire before I am 80. LOL! Seriously, this app, website, and the entire operation of IBD, along with MarketSmith, Leaderboard, eIBD, IBD Live, IBD Digital, and SwingTrader is hands down the best system I have come across, if you are willing to dig in. From the product coaches, to the content it’s worth every penny. It also is backed by the history of William O’Neil, whose book and research is really amazing, and I read it maybe 10 years ago. The whole approach from fundamental analysis and then overlaying the technical analysi is so smart. If you don’t understand certain details about their system, there is a video for it, phone # to call, or an email. It’s thorough, it’s research and screens are such a learning experience, and helps get you focused on finding the best possible company in the best possible industry, at the best possible buy point and then tells you when to get out of the stock. That saves me time, money, and the emotions around the stock decisions. It has helped me build a routine, stay consistent, and be focused on finding great companies. There is so much data. If you are willing to learn, do the homework, follow their rules, be smart, and stay with the plan, you will make money! Take a bow people and never stop this service!

3. 5/5Amazing charting even for the novice trader!

   I never thought I could recognize chart patterns like a cup w/handle, double bottom, or consolidations but, with Market Smith, the patterns are outlined for you! The webinars and educational videos have transformed my investing philosophy from ‘long term’ to ‘position trading’ whilst protecting my capital. My only regret is that it took me so long to find Market Smith and like many, after I lost a lot of money whilst long term investing. It was a lesson well learned and by protecting my capital with stops, it won’t happen again easily, that’s for sure. I use MS on all my devices and am very happy with the ease at which I can research my stocks seamlessly between them. I may even go on my next vacation without my laptop and still be able to effectively research and trade. The subscription price is well worth it if you put into practice all the lessons available.    Market Smith is a great investing tool. Also a bit too expensive if you ask me. However, if you are serious about investing and willing to not only place your hard earned dollars into the market but also very serious about learning to read charts and study fundamentals in order to protect your money, market smith is on your side. It’s not a make me rich now kind of tool but it will help you get in the right side of the market and point you to the right stocks to buy in order for you to get incrementally richer with time. The market can be brutal. Don’t go at it alone. Please. Please. Please. These tools make your investment journey a bit or a lot easier. Try any of their products. I recommend them highly. They offers a variant of products chose what you can afford at the moment. Any o their tools are great. Some services are even free in their IBD app. Good luck and wish you prosperity in all your endevours.

5. 5/5Overall a great app

   This is definitely one of the best charting apps because it works across multiple platforms and gives you real time market information. The only other charting platform that is comparable is TradingView since they have an app (versus TrendSpider and TC2000 which do not). Here are some drawbacks to the platform: Cost, it’s expensive but I find it pays for itself in the gains I get from the research I can do with it. I don’t find that I need to pay for any other services so I’m not sure how much more it is than if you add up subscriptions to news sources and top tier charting with other services that you may need to get the same information you see here. No dark mode (all platforms). No ability to zoom in (all platforms). No ability to mark up charts using an Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro - even if it forced us to use the draw toolbar from the desktop, it would be an improvement (iPad). No open/close bar style, forced to use their cost display which is not terrible but it would be nice to have a choice. No ability to move lists into folders or re-sort lists on ipad No ability to set up screens on iPad or iPhone All controls for each chart are at the top of the screen on iPhone, they should be on the bottom so we don’t have to reach so much I’ve tried many different platforms but I came back to Marketsmith because it really does combine the best of all worlds with being able to see the funds buying stocks, EPS/revenue growth on the charts, relative strength line, and the Mark Minervini trend templates. Being able to access the app on any device is fantastic and I think it could be better if the above quality of life improvements were made.
