This app does not record when app is not open, as per Apple rules, according to the developer. This app works great as long as you use an extra old iphone( back to 6 ) and plug it into external power.

5/5No longer works for iPadOS 17.4 - Fixed
Worked great until I updated. No longer collects or displays barometric data. App update fixed issue. Thanks for the prompt response.

3/5Doesn’t update unless app is displayed
I read the reviews where the author say he fixed the update problem, well as of 03-18-25 the problem still exists and I have the most current IOS, also background refresh enabled, also location enabled. I would appreciate the author responding. Thanks. Update 3-20-25: I believe when I turn my iPhone off it doesn’t update..

Read the fine print, only records when showing. My wife’s pedometer seems to be able to record data without being “visible.” Don’t waste your money.
