   I’m between a 4 and 5 stars just because I’m not wild about the newest version. It’s a cool app, and super easy to use. The newest version says to go to Settings to restore your previous purchases, except that didn’t work. Only got a few of the many I purchased. Went to the listing of all the effects and was able to manually do it from there. Not a biggie, but a tad irritating. The new ability to have a square or portrait option is nice, however, I’m not a fan of the default to camera mode, but maybe I’m in the minority by only using pics in my photo album. I also miss being able to cancel an effect once it’s added (you can replace it with a different one but sometimes I decide I don’t want one of the effects I’ve added at all), and the replacement of your library of effects in squares along the bottom of the screen with smaller, harder-to-see circles seems like a step backwards. All that being said, I really like this app and use it often. New effects are added pretty frequently, and there’s a nice variety.

2. 4/5Beware Updated….must repurchase !#*€!

   This is a great program! I have had it for more than several years. It is a great program without a doubt, in fact, one of my favorite programs for creating unique pictures to share with friends and also to use for holiday announcements on all my social media. Over the years when this first came out you purchased different actions or groups individually, purchase to remove the watermark and also purchased the ability to add one or three items to your picture at once. LOL, I go back to when all the apps were sold for $.99 and additions to your apps were priced about the same .99 to 3.99 and these were all lifetime purchases. There were no weekly, monthly yearly rentals purchased. Imagine my surprise when I opened the program and suddenly found that I only had about six items that I could add to a picture and when I hit restore, it did nothing. I’ve been reading the reviews and to be quite honest the help that the creators are giving is not helpful at all. Apple App Store. History only goes back so far and that has not been helpful at all, and even if you can gather that information to furnished for reimbursement it’s really not worth the effort. Only because this has been such a great program will I re-purchase. I’m very upset with the creators and think this is a shotty way to do app development and take care of your customers. Hopefully I will at least get another four or five years out of the program before they pull this stunt again and by that time, I probably won’t renew it anyway.

3. 4/5Not able to use after trying to update

   I have been using a Lumyer and have really enjoyed it. However I got a notification to update and when I did it will no longer load on my phone. So I took it off my phone and tried to reload it and now it will not let me in at all saying that my payment method is invalid, which it is not. I paid for the pro package to have all features utilized in watermark removed and now I can’t even load it on my device. I did contact the company and they kept telling me to restore my purchases yet that is not the solution. I cannot even load the app on my phone to restore the purchases. I hope someone can rectify and help the situation. Or I would like to request a full refund. I’m trying to understand how this is rating or they say this is rated as number one and improved. How can I know when it crashed after I tried update. Update. From my above post.. I keep trying. Was able to load Lumyer after several tries Restored purchases yet it did not restore my pro account. Disappointed. Then it crashed again after I tried to create an image. The app. Never crashed before the update. Now it just won’t stay in place and stable. This has happened 5 times now on I phone. ???

4. 5/5I've had Lumyar for 6 years !

   I've loved playing around with my pictures when it comes to Lumyar. I love love love it. I have to say something that bothers me about it, though...🙃 All the perks of this application should be free do to the fact that iPads are expensive! Why can't we have neverending fun without paying 20$ a month for an app that is apart of the very expensive iPad that I bought!?!?! It goes without saying ppl are getting filthy rich because this lil nickel and diming crap refuses to ease up!!! Please do better when it comes to apps that keep ppl like me so happy to have an iPad that does so many cool things without me going bankrupt all because I need to get out of my head and have the most fun I can have here. kapeesh?

5. 4/5Don't waste your money

   Don't make the mistake I did. *See Below*. Just download Werble or some other much more feature-rich Lumyer-type apps that do the same thing much better than Lumyer . Like any photo editing app, square and RECTANGULAR PHOTOS actually allow you to edit them. With Werble you can SEARCH for particular items to insert into your photos (NO, you can't search for folders of particular bunches of things in Lumyer, you will get random unrelated items -wierd- somewhat, but not quite related). And if you think for a moment that if you wait, the developers will get that done, you will be a fool, just like I was when I pressed the GET BUTTON to purchase Lumyer for $20 completely wasted dollars. There are far better apps that do the same video layer edits, and they do it much better, with updates that ADD real new features. I made the mistake of purchasing a lifetime of everything in Lumyer for $20 (everything is basically a couple of moving balloons or smokea month. In that time the developers have been unable to fix the fact that you cannot use a rectangular photo. Also, no matter what size your square photo is, I am not able to use the entire photo. I ALWAYS need to crop the square even further. This app is so user-unfriendly, that after two years of waiting for features and/or fixes that never arrive, I have written the longest review by five paragraphs that I have ever written. Biggest waste of app store money I have EVER spent. Every other app can use rectangular photos, but for some reason Lumyer can't do it, but they can take your $20.
