  1. 5/5Convenient and Affordable!!!!

The Lemonade app is so easy to use as well as having affordable rates! It took me all of 15 minutes to sign-up, pick a coverage and a deductible. Very nice customer service as well as very informative. At anytime of any day of the week I can log onto my account and check everything as well as make any necessary changes that I may need or want. The chat option feature works fantastic! Whenever I have a question I just go to the chat feature and within seconds someone is there to help and answer all my questions regarding their services and my plan coverage. I wished they had a referral feature cause I’ve already set up a couple of family members with the company as well. They were amazed that it only took about 10-15 minutes to setup and just how affordable it is!! I’ve gotten quotes from so many other companies but the monthly payments and deductible were too expensive, I was a little hesitant at first but I said hey I should at least give it a try and so far so good!!! I’m hoping that it’ll never come to the point where I’ll actually need to file a claim but if so I feel confident that the process will be easy and stress free considering how much stress I’m going to actually have due to a burglary or theft. I have faith that we’re going to have a very long relationship. Thanks to all the developers of the Lemonade App, the name of the company is nice too!!!!

  2. 4/5Pet insurance

I’ve seen quite a few awful reviews and thought I’d put my experience. I was a bit nervous to switch pet insurances but I use lemonade for renters and I thought it would be nice to bundle and have both on one account. Prices for both pet and renters were incredibly reasonable. I’ve had to file a claim probably 5 times for UTI’s for one of my cats. I would say they are sometimes quicker than others with my claims but I personally haven’t had to wait longer than a week or week and a half for my claim to be completed. I’ve also had claims be completed the same day I’ve filed. I think it’s also important to mention in the policy it states how long it normally will take for a claim to be settled. If you are using pet insurance for example it simply states approximately how long it will take for you claim to be completed for accident, illness, wellness exam ect. I haven’t had any issues with them not taking favor in my claim like others have stated. They’ve never given me the run around and tried to not reimburse me. The people that have worked on my claims have always been incredibly nice and have even followed up after claims are completed to ask about my pet and if he’s doing better. The main thing I wish could be changed is being able to talk to an actual person easier rather than having to send an email to support and wait for a response. Other than that I personally really like this for pet insurance. (I haven’t had to use it for renters yet and hopefully I’ll never need to)

  3. 5/5Easy, fast, cheap and convenient

Last year, I bought life insurance from a long, established multinational company. The process was a nightmare. I first attempted to get a quote online but the website directed me to contact their agent. Then, after speaking with the agent, I had to wait a few days for the agent to generate various prices based on different combinations of terms (5-15 years, 250k-500k). After I selected a specific term, I then waited a few weeks for the agent to ask another representative within the company to draft an insurance contract for me to sign. Overall, the process took 2 weeks and I spent hours playing phone tag with the agent. Last month, I bought life insurance through lemonade and the whole process took literally 15 minutes. The lemonade app allowed me to toggle various terms to generate a specific price. The contract was immediately generated within seconds after I had selected a specific policy. Probably the best part is that I didn’t have to deal with and wait for an agent. Lemonade simplified the whole process and made it very easy and convenient—not to mention the rates are very competitive. I’m planing to switch my car insurance over to lemonade whenever it’s offered in my state! My only feedback is for Lemonade to offer flood insurance so I can switch my home + flood insurance over to lemonade.

  4. 5/5Peace of mind

I got Lemonade insurance because the apartment complex we moved into required it before we could get the keys. I didn’t know what insurance to go with on such short notice. The manager asked for my phone, downloaded the app, quickly created a policy, I paid for it and then I got my keys. That was March 2019 fast forward to January 2021, Covid was killing our income so I wanted to cut some expensives out. I thought I’d cut Lemonade because I don’t know anything about it, I’ll probably never use it and I can save that money. Something told me to wait so I waited…February winter storm hit! The upstairs apartment pipes burst the 1st day of the storm and…BAM our apartment is flooded. Having Lemonade came in handy lol. Actually they were amazing!! I called them and they sent money right away then started our claim right away. It took us a while to get our info to them to finish the claim because we weren’t allowed back in our place for a while. But once we got it to them our claim agent Morgan Osness was on it!!! She has been amazing through the whole process! She didn’t treat us like we were another number even though she was swamped with claims. Every time we called in everyone was pleasant, polite and extremely helpful! One of the few companies that still understand the importance of customer service and they didn’t lose it through the pandemic or the winter storm!! I’m impressed and that’s not easy to do! Definitely the best insurance I’ve ever had! I’ve told so many people this story that they’ve either changed their insurance or just got Lemonade as their 1st insurance. Won’t change to anyone else unless they all of the sudden stop being great…I doubt that! Thanks Lemonade for all you have done!!!

  5. 1/5Extremely unhappy

I got a text in July that my policy will be cancelled if I don’t pay. So I go onto the app to see what’s going on & make a payment. I cannot look at or do anything unless I update my payment. I wanted to maybe revise the policy or see what exactly I did owe, but it won’t let you do anything unless you update your payment. So I figured okay fine, maybe I’ll update it & then I will pay. It didn’t say “pay this amount now” it said “update your payment method now” so okay, I do. As soon as I did, I get an alert from my bank of 3 total charges from Lemonade! I was so confused! I thought maybe if I just updated it, I could finally see my account information & what I owed & what I was behind. I immediately called & said I do not approve of these charges because I didn’t even know I was behind! I cannot afford this! I was panicking. I explained that your app doesn’t show me anything, pass due amounts or even current amount that I owe unless I update my payment. It doesn’t say “pay this amount now” only “Please update your payment method.” They told me too bad, they cannot refund me my money… so I cancelled the policy. This isn’t an insurance company I want to deal with. When I explained your app has an extremely bad flaw and caused me to be charged 3x without warning or asking me if that was okay. It’s specifically asked me to update my payment method, not pay x amount now. They could care less. They told me too bad, it already went though there’s nothing they can do.
