I’ve been using LAIT911 for a while now, and it has quickly become an essential app for me. Living in a busy area, it’s incredibly helpful to know exactly what’s happening in my neighborhood in real-time. Whether it’s emergency vehicles rushing by or a larger incident nearby, the app gives me instant updates that keep me in the loop. What I love most is how simple and easy it is to use. In urgent situations, the last thing you want is a complicated interface, and LAIT911 is perfectly designed to be straightforward and clear. It gives me peace of mind knowing I have access to reliable information about my surroundings without having to wait for news reports. My roommates and I live on a busy street near a fire station and are always curious to know what’s happening when fire trucks, ambulances, helicopters, and cops are rushing quickly by. This app helps us figure it out in a moments notice. Really nice getting urgent news notifications, too! I've been notified of major incidents such as a destructive landslide near my house during a storm, a full house fire (which I read the next day was a celebrities house in Beverly Hills 😳), and an explosion in mid city. Every major incident notification from this app has been top news story in the city next day. I highly recommend to anyone interested in being aware, especially if you live in a big city. Definitely providing peace of mind in this house!

My family and I have been using this app as a tool. With all the local fires in Southern California that’s been going through are cities has been nerve wrecking so we track all the resources we have and use them as a way to determine if we should evacuate a lot sooner rather then wait for authorities to tell us. We have family throughout California so this app keeps us informed of what’s going on around us and plus We sleep better at night :)

LAIT911 provides a great service for first responders, media, community members, and members of government who wish to remain informed without listening to a radio scanner all day or waiting to see reports in the media. This can give you a vital heads-up if you live near a large scale incident or wildfire that may threaten your home or business. As a first responder, I can say that the app and service work as well (if not better) than “professional” public safety apps.

Long press a notification to see a nearby map of the incident. - Priority alerts are now sent as time-sensitive notifications, allowing you to avoid distractions without worrying about missing important safety-impacting information. - Clicking a LAIT911 incident link will now open directly in the app instead of the web browser when on your mobile device. - Users now have the ability to log in with their email address or their username. - We made our incident filter settings more meaningful, allowing you to easily select the desired distance from your location and the age of the incident. - Better email address and username validation to prevent user frustration during login and signup.
