   I have 6 more payments left and this has definitely helped me and my credit score went up 14 point as of today. I even now have been approved for a credit line with Kovo as of today as well and I’m so excited I have shared this app with friends and family members so hopefully they take advantage of this opportunity to get they score up and eventually get themselves a credit line as well! I’m moving on up gonna apply for a home soon just getting all my stuff in order now and waiting for this market to come down some! And I feel you should do so too!

2. 1/5Tanked my Credit

   Be sure that you are able to make the monthly payments because they will report a missed payment to the credit bureau’s. Also be sure you’re willing to do the full 24 months, because they will report to the credit bureau’s that your account was closed in bad standing and it’ll be a major derogatory mark. They offer to mark it closed in good standing if you settle the remaining balance remaining. My trust in this company is eroded in reading that they’ve told other users they never offered a “savings” plan. Yes they did. You may no longer offer that, but y’all used to. You may not have called it a savings, but you did explicitly state that the $240 would be returned at the end of the contract. In total, they’ve reported 4 on time payments for me, 11 missed payments, and account closed in bad standing. My conclusion is that this is a money grabbing scheme no heartfelt mission to help people improve their credit. If the mission was to help folks build their credit over extorting them for money, they wouldn’t make a report on months payments are missed and would not report a derogatory status for the account upon closing.

3. 1/5Don’t Trust Them

   I’m extremely disappointed in the lack of transparency and genuine support Kovo has shown regarding my hardship request. Despite providing clear documentation — including proof that I have exhausted my unemployment benefits — my request was denied without any explanation of what criteria I supposedly failed to meet. When I respectfully asked for clarification or a copy of the hardship policy, I was told that the criteria could not be disclosed to “prevent misuse.” That response is vague, dismissive, and completely unhelpful to someone actively trying to resolve their account with integrity. If you genuinely want to “help” your customers, telling them to “just send more documents” without saying which ones matter or why they were denied does the opposite of helping. I’ve consistently paid even during unemployment and only reached out when I could no longer afford to — not because of irresponsibility, but due to real hardship. Your current system lacks accountability and compassion, and it reflects poorly on your company’s values. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and sharing this experience with others who may be considering your service. Also, looking at the other reviews I now don’t have trust in them - all because I needed them to work with me and feel as though now they will report INCORRECT info just because I emailed for assistance on a situation. Kinda like “Oh this person emailed for assistance but now we will definitely report incorrect info after our emails since we could not help”. This company is not trust worthy at all.

   So Kovo is a scam and I am going to tell you my stupidity story because I did not go to the bottom of the app of the explanation where it lists all the companies that Kovo is not like other credit builder savings and credit cards you are paying them for a service where they extend you the payment to them of the services as a loan they’re giving you a loan! for their insurance and them reporting you pay but beware you aren’t getting that money back ever ! self visa account I have is amazing has all the same services for free and then you get your savings money back at the end of your contract in your bank and you get a credit card so don’t do Kovo. This is ridiculous. I feel scammed and I feel really stupid for doing this one because if you cancel or cannot pay, you’re in breach of your loan and it’s gonna go on your credit history.

   Kovo Credit is not a good credit-building tool in my opinion. You are required to make monthly payments for 24 months, but in return you receive very limited resources. The materials they provide mainly consist of a few financial education books, which many people could easily find elsewhere. What was most disappointing is that the money you pay over the 24 months is not returned to you at the end of the term. For many people trying to rebuild or improve their credit, every dollar matters, and most don’t have extra money to spend on something that provides very little tangible benefit. Overall, unless you are specifically looking to access a small library of financial education content, this program may not be very beneficial for someone hoping to build credit in a meaningful way.

   My card was stolenI had to wait 2 weeks to recieve a new one on top of that I'm a traveling worker and had to wait even longer to get it until I got time to get my card from home. Kovo reported a late payment to the credit bureaus and never responded as to why would they do that although they didn't lend me money nor do I owe them anything. I've tried to send communications with them and never heard from them. If you're getting paid for reporting just stop reporting if you dont get paid. Thanks.

   didn't last 3 hours until my account got close. when I contacted support they weren't any help on getting my account fixed.
