   Overall, I have really enjoyed using this app. I think that the player itself is quite nice to use and I like the Android-style material design. I also like the good files integration and the support for lots of different cloud providers as well as FTP and WebDAV. It also seems to have lots of other useful features I haven’t even touched yet! My only gripe has to do with the video steaming from urls. I find that it does not seem to do a good job with consistent playback on my cellular data. Just using Safari offers smoother playback. I don’t know if this has to do with my server not handling the way it tries to fetch video well or if this app is just bad at properly streaming video (like if this app is using youtube-dl when it should have updated to yt-dlp) or if there is a problem with how the buffering is implemented. I also was unable to find away to set the http refer for video steaming from urls (like mpv’s —referrer switch), but this is not as big of a deal since I was not really expecting it. But yeah. I think that it is a good app and I will continue to use it (unless ad are added: I hate ads).

2. 4/5Good, but could be GREAT

   I love the app, but there are a couple very annoying things about it. The most annoying is that if you are not connected to cellular or Wi-Fi data every time you lock and unlock your device, it’ll reset to the menu screen and ask you to check your network connection, if I am shuffling an album and I lock my phone when I unlock it, then it’ll have the check your network connection notification and it will reset the memory of what songs it has shuffled and start over. The other thing that is not so much annoying, but could be improved upon is that it would be nice if you could sort items by album artist within the mode that you choose to sort items by. Like I sort my Contant by album but then I cannot sort them by album, artist, or artist, only sorts by album title. The first issue has only popped up within the past couple days so I don’t know what has happened.. I hope these things get improved upon because other than that I really do enjoy the app

3. 4/5Video Naming broken

   This is a wonderful app. It gives you access to your files better than even well-known applications. But unfortunately I won’t be able to use it because when I tried to import some computer generated video files, their numerical names give me no way to tell them apart. When I tried renaming them so I can organize them in my library, the renaming function did not work. Instead it made a blank video file and gave it the new name. Then when I try to delete the new file nothing appears to happen. When I tried to delete the old file, nothing appears to happen. But then I discovered when I restarted the application that both were deleted and now I have nothing. I had to re-import my video file and am unable to get the name to change to something recognizable. After uploading several computer-generated files, you can see how this would become confusing. It makes it so, the only way I can use this app to listen to my video files would be if I delete the file every single time I listen to one. But that would make it impossible to build a library. And I would much like to be able to do that. I will try to find the contact information to inform the developers of this issue, but I did not see a contact option in the application either.    By far the best mobile-device media player I’ve used. It’s easy to use and sounds fantastic. The only thing I’d like to see the developers change is that when you import an album of music that’s divided into more than one disc, that division doesn’t carry over into the app, meaning that unless you want to play all the tracks in that album numbered “1” in alphanumeric order, then all the tracks numbered “2” in alphanumeric order, then all the tracks numbered ”3” in alphanumeric order, and so on, instead of all the tracks of disc 1, then all the tracks of disc 2, then all the tracks of disc 3, and so on, you have to make a playlist for that album observing the division into multiple discs. It’s a problem for the user in an otherwise eminently user-friendly app, but it would probably be pretty easy to fix compared to other sorts of issues you see in other apps. Highly recommended.

5. 4/5It’s exactly what I need

   Overall this is a great video player which is exactly what I need. It can play all of my videos/movies without any issue detected. It provides all the useful and important functions as a must-have video player on iPad. And more importantly, it’s free !! Big thanks to the developer. One star deducted because I feel UI and theme could be improved. I’d suggest letting the main page show only the library with all resources (videos/music) and playlist imported to KMPlayer, and let setting/file importing/tool box be in other pages or other tabs. In addition, I find KMPlayer cannot recognize the file size correctly; it happens to some of my movies (like show 5MB to a video which is actually 3GB)
