   Listen now I only use this app to access my account which is on ZEPETO because ZEPETO is connected to whatever this app I’m using is called and tell me why I accidentally delete my app. I go back in put the exact same password in and says oh this is not your account oh I can’t find your account, but I literally use the same resource to log into the account now I feel at this point these kind of apps try to scam you to get your information and hack into whatever personal stuff you have so be careful on these apps. This app has audacity to tell me that my phone number wasn’t used for the account that I logged into when that’s the only way I could possibly get into this freaking app so I’m like this is stupid and they’re just trying to get my information so I had to turn my cookies off to make sure they can’t like hack into my account or cause virus, but whatever is trash and I really hope that people stops connecting with these apps because this is just stupid and this is the only way you can really play the game because you need to login and save your account but also having a problem because I logged in recently or not too long ago I had two year old account and I logged in with Facebook says oh that’s not your password to Facebook I’m like how do you know if I made the password? How are you gonna tell me I don’t know my password like what OK I’m so done with these apps but I swear y’all better fix this cause y’all are gonna go downhill and stop making money from doing this kind of stuff.

2. 4/5Fun, but there’s better message apps out there.

   I got KakaoTalk to talk to one of my friends who has a Samsung phone so I could contact them from my iPad. There are many fun elements to KakaoTalk such as how you can design your profile, and how there are many MANY cute emojis, both animated or not, that you can send to your friends. There are also themes that change the background art and the app cover and all of them are super cute. The themes are based on different KakaoTalk characters that you see in the emojis. Along with all of the good features, there are many bad parts about KakaoTalk. It takes a LONG time to send pictures and even LONGER to send videos. Also, recently, KakaoTalk has been VERY annoying. Messages are delayed and take a while to send, and pictures and videos take even longer now. Also, some parts of the app are in all Korean. I get that this is a Korean-based app for Koreans, but if you have the language set to English and something in Korean pops up it is very annoying. If KakaoTalk were less glitchy and it loaded faster, this review would be 5 stars. UPDATE: They fixed the extreme glitching! This review was previously 3 stars because of the recent bug, but I’ve now updated it to 4.

3. 1/5Terrible, but I’m forced to use it

   Ads everywhere, uncecessary features that make the app a landmine to navigate when all I want is to quickly find my contacts and talk to them. Also, images and messages just disappear after a while and it asks you to pay a subscription. (Meanwhile every other chat app like messenger or WhatsApp just have backups in the cloud or using your iCloud system). Also, there is no end to end encryption in the chat rooms, you may as well assume someone is reading all your messages. Also, the entire app has businesses sending you spam ads that you have to “block”, but then which also holds non-ad messages. There is also a major privacy risk because anyone can add your profile if they have your phone number. So spammers are running scripts and adding random numbers and scraping your profile data for deepfaking and scamming your family/friends/coworkers. All of this should be addressed, especially since now this app has apparently monopolized the Korean chat ecosystem and even the government treats it like a national messaging platform. It’s really unfortunate what companies and their products turn into when they feel like they have zero competition

4. 1/5Worst App EVER

   This is the absolute worst app I’ve ever had the displeasure of trying to use. I believe it’s a scam used to collect personal information of users worldwide without providing any service to them whatsoever. If you don’t live in Korea, don’t even bother trying to use it. I downloaded it, created an account added one contact, my mom who lives in Korea. I live in the U.S. Verified my phone number and two emails like the app prompted me to do and then tried to send my mom a message and I immediately got a pop up that said I couldn’t use this feature unless I completed a “Talk Safety Pass”. There was no link or instructions on how to do that so I had to figure it out on my own. Once I did that, it said I can’t complete that without a valid Korean phone number. How could anyone living outside of Korea be expected to have that?! I contacted customer service and they just sent me some standard boiler automated response that basically said, yeah we can’t help you b/c everything is automated. I’ve never been so frustrated with an app in my whole life. If anything the app itself is the real scam. They are given access to all of your information through the sign up process and then the app doesn’t even work - so they get all of your information for nothing!! Talk about a scam!! I’d give this horrendous app no stars if possible! It’s completely useless and should be investigated as a phishing scam!!

5. 5/5Love it! But . . .

   I love everything about this app, it’s so customizable, cute, creative, and just, amazing! There is a very bothering issue that I really don’t like though. When you are in a very active group chat, you may have up to over 600 notifications a day, and having that much notifications on my phone REALLY drains its battery. I personally am not on group chats very often, so notifications for them aren’t important. I decided to mute them, but the badges on the app still appear, and my battery STILL drains quickly because of it. You may say to just turn off notifications completely, but I still want notifications for individual chats, as I don’t want to have to keep hopping back onto the app over and over again to check if I have new messages. Adding a feature which allows you to completely disable or mute group chat notifications without having badges too would be AMAZING, and the app would then be perfect for me. Please consider this suggestion! Overall, amazing app!
