1. 4/5The UI changes are odd and inconvenient

   I like most of it but i do have three issues with it one being hopefully a bug. First the none bug, i find it very annoying that when i open the app my last chat isn’t at the top of the screen anymore. It’s very inconvenient and annoying especially if I was in the middle of a chat but had to set my phone down for a moment so the app reloads. Another issue also not the bug, I hate when i open the chat area in the app i can’t sort it or search for characters like i used to be able to. Plus if i am obsessively chatting with one character and make a bunch of chats with said character it isn’t all under the character list thing. And now finally for the bug, I have noticed again on the app that if i go to chat with a bot i click on in my notifications that when i go to pick a persona i get an error. This has been happening for a while and was honestly something i could ignore since i could just look in the following tab. And i know that the web app version and the web version are almost the same as before but I genuinely prefer the look of the chats in the app, I prefer having the haptic feedback and the click and hold to copy. I genuinely prefer the app but I just felt like i should mention these things.

2. 5/5It’s very good but I’m a little scared 💔

   Before writing my review I just want y’all to know english isn’t my first language so if there’s any grammatical errors, it’s bc of that :’vv. I’m here after the last update where Janitor+ was finally added, the app has been really nice to be honest, it is the best alternative if you don’t want to use c.ai Bv but here’s my little concern: I’m glad that the Janitor+ is out but I’m worried bc all the other ai apps I tried before and had a subscription were very greedy and the free version had poor memory, length response, etc. I rlly don’t like spending money on ai especially if it’s just for chatting w bots or roleplaying. Janitor ai have been one of the few apps that are my favorites and the though of it becoming a thing you have to pay for to have a better experience is making me freak a bit out since no other platforms or apps offer a wonderful experience like this one does. BUT HEYY I’m not saying that it’s bad or anything, ik they aren’t removing anything from the free version to make it pay-only, but I just can’t take that thought out of my head. Janitor ai plz plz plz plz plz don’t remove anything from the free version i’m begging you on my knees 💔 anyway I hope everyone who’s readin all of ts is having a good day or evening or night! I feel a lil embarrassed but oh well :v

3. 4/5Bugs with new update and more.

   Love this app which is why I want to bring attention to the recent bugs like others have. I was awake when the new update dropped, and noticed the changes in bugs immediately. Text from bot responses seeming to go off the screen and can only be seen if you sometimes reload or go to edit, not even just for ending paragraphs, like could be multiple middle sections. Then there’s a bug with the text box staying the same size as the response you typed after the message is sent. Closing and reopening the chat works to get rid of it, but also going in, typing a letter, then backspacing also gets rid of it, but it’s annoying to do every single time. Idk why this is happening. But I also noticed something else before the update and which still happens is that: for context every response I usually get with this app is immediate in chats. I don’t have to wait that long and have the option on to watch the text scroll through each word at the response is generated instead of all at once. I noticed that sometimes the app just struggles to give responses like it’ll say “responding…” but even if I wait a long time it doesn’t give anything or just errors. I tried stopping the response and resending and that didn’t work. Reopening the chat didn’t work. The only thing I found to work to get my responses to sen again is to completely close the app and reopen it. And sometimes it takes doing that multiple times for me to get responds flowing again.

4. 4/5Great but could use some improvements

   I loveee the fact that we finally got an app for j.ai and for the most part it’s great. Mostly, I am so glad about the “branch into a new chat” option, it’s been so helpful. I will say, though, it’s super buggy. Sometimes it works okay, but there’s been a couple of issues for me. Many times when I select the option, it takes me to the new chat but as I type in a response, it’ll show an error message and not do anything. Most recently, it branches the chat but starts from the message it was branched from, rather than the beginning. And now, the branched chat is so buggy that every time I try to respond, it’ll show an error and be all messed up. I’d love for that to be fixed. Another thing, it might be helpful to have a “duplicate chat” option in the all chats section too? also, I’d love to be able to switch personas within a current chat. I think that with these considerations in mind, the janitor ai experience could improve so much.

5. 4/5Love this app, but just have a few problems

   I like the app a lot. It’s dominantly free, no filters, no limitations on how many messages you can send, and no ads I hope none of this changes but I do have a problem. It’s not about the new payment system. It’s about the new recent chat system. I don’t like it if the developers of Janitor see this can y’all return the old system back the one where it would compile all of the different things you had and also the I wish it wouldn’t just immediately go back to the top when I exit out of it. I love this app, but I just want them to return the other recent chat system and also the same with the homepage. Can y’all make it show our most recent chats over top of it again. Please don’t be money, hungry, and start putting ads up and limiting messages for subscriptions. Please don’t do that.
