   I never read the Bible but this app takes care of that by allowing you to make use of it wherever you are. I went to the app tonight while searching for comfort and understanding about my daughter who is suffering from severe depression. With this app, support of your faith is on demand. I should only use it more. In this world where fewer people practice their faith and modern culture is influencing values, I believe the lord works in ways like this app to reach out to us. Never before has any kind of information been so accessible. There’s even an app called Mass Times which makes finding a church and mass easy wherever you are in the world! As a side note, I am editing this review after writing the first paragraph over a year ago. When I looked up the app to send to my daughter, I had forgotten I wrote that review. It’s well over a year and many prayers later that I write this updated review with the blessed news that my daughter is doing well after deciding to seek help. When I learned that she is praying daily, I thought that I’d send her this app to help her. Her recovery has strengthened my faith for which this app has been such a convenient help. With all my heart I believe my prayers have been answered and for that I am forever grateful. The lord certainly works in mysterious ways!

   I would wish to speak to anyone, who might be reading through these reviews, while considering the purchase of this app: DO NOT MISS THE AMAZINGLY GENEROUS AMOUNT OF MATERIAL, MADE AVAILABLE FOR US, BY THE DEVELOPERS OF THIS APPLICATION! After 30+ years as a Reformed Protestant, I have, for the last 10 months, been a student of the Doctrine and Teachings, of the Catholic Church. To my delight and surprise, the apps I've found for the iPhone, relating to that study, have provided a stunning amount of supplemental resources, in support of my RCIA process. To anyone who carries a desire, in their heart and mind, to have their Faith, better formed within them--do not hesitate to make the purchase of this app, towards that end. And may I say, to the developers, by means of your labor, you are contributing to the changes His Spirit makes, in the hearts of men. For it is only as Faith is formed, that freedom is won, hearts are lifted, and minds are made able to receive wisdom and understanding, leaving individuals, marriages, and families, forever changed. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the contribution you have made to my journey of Faith. May Our Lord bless you, and your families.

3. 5/5Please Restore Accessibility for Blind Users!

   I've been a long-time, devoted user of this Catholic app, and it used to be one of my absolute favorites. The content is fantastic and truly enriching. However, ever since the past few updates, for me as a blind person relying on VoiceOver, the app has become virtually unusable. This is incredibly frustrating, as I cherish the spiritual resources it offers. Here are the critical issues making the app inaccessible: * No Longer Screen Reader Friendly: The most significant problem is that the app no longer works effectively with VoiceOver on my iPhone. It feels like basic elements are no longer properly labeled or recognized by the screen reader. * Difficulty Navigating Bible Passages: I can no longer reliably select specific passages or even entire books in the Bible. This makes scripture reading, a core function of the app, impossible for me to do independently. * Audio Version Is Hidden: Finding the audio version of content, which was once straightforward, is now extremely difficult. The interface seems to have changed in a way that makes the audio options inaccessible to VoiceOver. * Unresponsive Taps/Unlabeled Elements: No matter where I tap on the screen, VoiceOver often doesn't give me any meaningful feedback, or the elements are simply not labeled in a way that allows me to understand their function. I'm left guessing or needing assistance from a sighted person, which defeats the purpose of an independent app experience. This lack of accessibility means I can no longer take full advantage of the app's features, even with help. If the developers could prioritize making this app fully compatible and accessible for screen readers like VoiceOver, I would absolutely love it again. It has the potential to be an invaluable resource for the blind Catholic community. Please consider revisiting the accessibility features to ensure all users can benefit from this wonderful app. Thank you.

4. 5/5Updated: they fixed it! Previous title:Getting worse every update

   I’m updating the review and giving it 5 stars. 1st: the developers reached out and proposed a solution that worked. 2nd: the next updates worked well and all the functionality is fully restored. This is the best Catholic app. Has all the prayers. Has all the key traditional books. Has the mass and breviary. Very compact, fast, works offline. Can’t recommend it enough. Supports a few languages too. Old review, no longer valid: After years of loving this application, I’m saddened to see it going south every time they push and upgrade. Lately the user interface became so un-natural, that if you didn’t know the great content included, you would miss it. But today’s push made it un-usable. I’m luck I still have the most used books and prayers in my favorites. Tried reaching the developers on the link provided at the App Store, but the link is broken. Please, undo this mess.

   This app is the most resource rich Catholic app out there. Jam packed with resources: the Bible and reading tools, endless writings from the saints, papal documents, commentaries, Catholic Encyclopedia, Catechisms, The Novus Ordo Calendar along with the Traditional Calendar and Mass & readings seamlessly integrated into the app. It has hundreds of prayers and hymns and enables you to pray the Divine Office. I can’t help but shill for this app it’s too good to be free. You can read all of Augustine’s published works and Aquinas’ summa. You will not regret having this app, it is a NECESSARY tool in any Catholic’s App Library! Love it and all the updates!
