5/5freed up a Gb of space on my phone
My phone is old (6S) and lately I’ve been running out of memory daily and having to do stuff like offload crucial apps and delete my internet history just to have enough free space to take a photo (or even copy paste something)! Since installing Hush, I have about a gig of free space on my phone where i used to have a couple hundred megabytes. I presume this is because of all the cookies Safari was keeping track of! So this has really, really helped me extend the life of this old phone.

2/5Doesn’t work most of the time
Often doesn’t work. I feel it’s are only updated when the app is updated, not dynamically via url like so many others. I’ve used this for about two months now and the sites that I’ve reported as slipping through the cracks (a bunch) have yet to be blocked. And in those cases, this app actually prevents me from proceeding past the consent pop up. As for the description, it’s not really clear what this app is doing. there’s no documentation or much of any explanation of what’s going on behind-the-scenes. The only real source of anything is a GitHub link. and once you navigate around and find the developers biographical page or about me section, one of the first things I noticed was that he says he doesn’t have time to invest in his projects. So…. This isn’t a money-making tool. I get that. It would be nice to know upfront more about the app I’m downloading, how it works, how often it is or isn’t updated, etc. After looking around on the repository, I see that it is working very much the same way as Easylist and incorporates the fanboy list. It just doesn’t look like it updates these filters dynamically, only when they are integrated directly into the app update, which it looks like it was more than two months ago.

1/5Once great, now abandoned
### How Hush Works Hush is a content blocker for Safari that focuses on blocking nag screens, such as cookie consent banners and privacy-intrusive tracking scripts. It does this by using a set of rules that target specific scripts and elements on web pages without interacting directly with the site itself. ### Why It Might Be Less Effective Now 1. **Lack of Updates**: The Hush app and its GitHub project have not seen significant updates recently, which might mean it's not keeping up with new tracking techniques and ad implementations. 2. **Advanced Obfuscation**: Some websites employ advanced methods to bypass blockers, which Hush may not be updated to counter. 3. **Evolving Web Standards**: The web is constantly evolving, and without regular updates, any blocker may fall behind in its effectiveness. Checkout the developers GitHub page (found on the website) to see that it’s been inactive 4 years. Thank you Hush for the great service you provided, and I hope to see you again. But now we must find another.

5/5Is it doing anything at all?
The answer is unequivocally yes, but you'd never know it until you use a computer that doesn't have it installed. Once you install it, you'll be immediately pleased... and then you'll forget it's there — it works perfectly and doesn't interfere with the normal operation of your machine. When you use a machine on which it is not installed, you'll fall in love with Hush all over again. It seems like such a small thing, but the quality of life improvement is huge.

3/5It’s not clear what this does
“ Now browsing without the…”. Without what? The app gives me one sentence of explanation, but it doesn’t fit on the screen. Why would I need to know what it does? I mean, does it say “ok” and accept the cookies on every page? How would I know? Guys, just describe the goal and/or function of your “thousands of rules running in the background.” It wound be nice to know. …and making your single display page scalable to fit all phone screens seems like a good idea. Maybe your one sentence would help me out, if I could read it?
