Sink It for Reddit is a game-changer for iOS users who value privacy and data control. As someone passionate about these issues, I can't recommend this Safari extension enough. The app's commitment to on-device content blocking and zero data exfiltration is impressive. Unlike many alternatives, Sink It doesn't even collect basic analytics, ensuring your browsing habits remain truly private. Data savings are substantial – I've cut my cellular usage by over 1GB daily compared to the official app. The option to disable autoplay and use the Classic view is a godsend for those on limited data plans. The clean, ad-free interface is a joy to use. Customizable gestures, easy comment navigation, and adaptive dark mode make browsing effortless. I especially appreciate the ability to hide specific subreddits from r/all. While it lacks some social features like chat, it excels at content consumption. 5/5A big thumbs up for the developer!
A big thank you to the dev for working hard to give back some power to those of us who dislike Reddit’s app and can’t stand the invasive ads and annoying “sign up for the app!!” popups every time you load a page on the mobile site. This app effectively gets rid of the pop up and also eliminates the promoted ads that invade the main Reddit feed like weeds giving the user a cleaner less frustrating experience; it also gives a bit of power back to the user so that you aren’t being railroaded into a one size fits all experience. Thanks again dev. Also if you ever redesign the app’s logo maybe use a stylized anchor with a Reddit-like alien or robot face on top (not too similar though for obvious reasons).

5/5This is the best app for Reddit that you can get if you’re still using Safari!
If you’re trying to avoid the Reddit app nags, you must have this app. The developers of this app have been constantly battling for years and in the recent months, even more intensely with the Reddit app developers to fight official Reddit apps nags that are happening on Safari more and more frequently. This is the only app that I’m aware of that can really combat those apps nags and I’m currently in contact with one of the developers to combat yet another persistence and recent app nag that I and a few others are experiencing. Sink It for Reddit Team have done an excellent job of being able to update the app and consistently continue the fight to battle official Reddit app developers.

5/5Apollo is dead, long live sink it
I left Reddit when Apollo shut down. I won’t use their app. I know it’s nothing more than advertising and tracking. I check the website every month or two but it’s horrible. Ads everywhere. I had no clue something like this existed. This of amazing. I’ll be subscribing to premium if only to support the dev. I don’t know what the premium features are and I don’t care. The first time I saw the Reddit website without all the promoted posts, it was like a warm hug. Like being back with Apollo again. I love this. I don’t know how to subscribe to premium. That page has no payment buttons. I’ll just donate.

5/5Best way to use Reddit now
I have used Reddit for 15+ years at this point - a majority of that on various iOS/android apps. With Reddit destroying third party apps (imy Apollo!) a few years ago, I stopped using Reddit. But, like an abusive ex, I went back. The official Reddit app is garbage. Horrible performance, pop ups constantly, a horrible feed, stupid nags, constant begging to give them money, etc etc, it is absolutely unusable. I still exclusively use “old” Reddit on desktop. Even with all of Reddits fancy IPO/public company money, the redesign is still trash. With Sinkit, I can now bring this to mobile. It’s fantastic. It’s amazing. It looks great on mobile, scaling is perfect for my device, and it brought back the joy of using Reddit I once had. The premium features (only $5 for a lifetime subscription!!) are somewhat weak, but I understand the app/extension is relatively new so I will absolutely give it grace. Plus, it’s supporting a dev that gave me my free-time addiction back. For the first time in 5 years. Thanks Mr or Ms developer. Great work.

Horrible performance, pop ups constantly, a horrible feed, stupid nags, constant begging to give them money, etc etc, it is absolutely unusable. I still exclusively use “old” Reddit on desktop. Even with all of Reddits fancy IPO/public company money, the redesign is still trash. With Sinkit, I can now bring this to mobile. It’s fantastic. It’s amazing. It looks great on mobile, scaling is perfect for my device, and it brought back the joy of using Reddit I once had. The premium features (only $5 for a lifetime subscription!!) are somewhat weak, but I understand the app/extension is relatively new so I will absolutely give it grace. Plus, it’s supporting a dev that gave me my free-time addiction back. For the first time in 5 years. Thanks Mr or Ms developer. Great work.",
