  1. 4/5Pos, Neg, and Suggestions

I have the Hume Pod and the Hume Band. Overall I like the product. Most of the time it works the way it should, and it gives me really good insights into my health. I love that the app is free, especially since the equipment was quite the investment up front. The things that could be fixed/improved... The Hume Band dies quickly. I'm lucky if it lasts a full two days before needing a full charge again. Also, any time it syncs with the app, if I have any other Bluetooth connected to my phone (including earbuds) it cuts the connection. This is incredibly annoying, especially if I'm on a call and my band decides to randomly sync without any prompting. Suddenly my call will drop or cut out really bad. I've never had any other product do this before. For the Hume Pod, the actual weigh ins take several tries. I've had my products for over a month now, I've watched quite a few videos and have read online reviews as well to find the best way to "weigh in" and it still takes me at least 4-5+ tries. Some mornings I've had to give up and not weigh in because I just don't have the time for it to keep failing on me. The final thing, I'd like to ask for what "normal" or "typical" ranges are. I know everyone is different, but I have a few areas where I am out of range, but I have no clue how far out of range I am. Can something be added in the future for users to see a range of "typical" ranges for each area?

  2. 5/5disconnects often

It disconnects at least one or two times a week and normally I’m able to get it paired back up right away. But this last time it happened I had to do a hard reset. Which helped get it paired again. For anyone that’s having this issue here are the fixes they sent me. f your Hume Band is not appearing in the list of Bluetooth devices, please try the following: Place the Band on its charger. While it is charging, press the side button five (5) times in succession. This performs a physical reset of the Band and should make it discoverable again so you can reconnect it through the Hume Health app. I woke up this morning and already had to pair it again to my phone. I’m not sure what the problem is but they have an amazing customer support team and they are quick to respond. That earns them a 5 star but my band is disappointing me! The inconsistency of it staying paired is not something I should be having to fix all the time just to get my numbers. I just don’t how accurate they are with long gaps of time were it’s not working. I do like it though as it helps me move in a positive direction for age and overall well being. I’ll update my review if my bad stops working completely and I have to do another hard reset. I bought it a year ago and I’m thinking before the warranty wears in August it should be replaced. I have a month so let’s see how many pairings I have to do.

  3. 4/5Bugs

My scale works. The app has stopped syncing data from apple health since April and I reached out to hume several times about the issue with no resolution. I initially thought it was going to get better when I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 16! It did not matter. I wear a oura ring that syncs perfectly with the health app meaning that I have a constant flow of sleep and activity data. When I get a health report from Hume, I get a score of 236 out of 900 because no activity or sleep data is available. I could let it go if I wasn’t paying for the Hume plus subscription! I am very disappointed in their customer service. Now they are pushing the band, why would I? I am paying for a service I am not getting and the company does not seem to care. So Far this is the worse investment I made on my health this year because I am paying for a device who is feeding me erroneous health score every week. Even though I know the scores are false they still cause me distress. Unhappy customer here Back one year later, customer service took care of the band, they sent me a new one and it has been smooth ever since. I have had some issues with the band missing my sleep sometimes or having some issues connecting, but it’s usually an easy fix. So far, I am satisfied, and I expect that things will improve with time. I would recommend.

  4. 3/5Interesting data from the Fittrack

I’m not using a paid version of the app because I really just want to gather data from the scale. I like having all the details and the app includes good information about what each of them mean. I would have given five stars, but at that update a few days ago, it has started to have a few undesirable things: This is fairly minor, but it started showing the dates in the DD-MM European way, rather than the US style of MM-DD. There doesn’t seem to be an option to change it back. Secondly, on the graphs, it now shows all data followed by “kg,” including things that aren’t even weights (like BMI, metabolic age, and body fat percentage). It’s not that it has converted the numbers, either - for things that are weight, it’s showing the value in lbs but says “kg” anyway. My options are set to use pounds but it doesn’t seem to be related to that - they just appended “kg” to every number on the charts. Finally, and this is the main complaint: it no longer automatically connects and records my data. Before the update, I would just open the app and then step on the scale and it would capture the data. Now, I have to go to “Me” in the menu, where it says I have no connected devices. But if I click on See All it shows my scale. I then have to tap the device in the app, wake up the scale, wait for it to recognize it again, then tap another button to measure. If those three issues were resolved I would be quite happy with the app! Although, I am a little frustrated that using the scale requires the app, because I’m not very confident that it will continue to work well.

  5. 3/5Feels not quite ready…

I only own the band, not the scale, so that’s part of the problem, but so much of the app utility is focused on working with both. There is supposed to be a synch between apple health and the Hume app so that weight logged there (from a competitive smart scale) can synch to the app and give you a more complete picture of your health. But that functionality is reportedly broken. And without an initial synch to apple health, the body function in the app won’t get past the splash screen that only prompts you to buy their scale. This is a big miss that they have tried to cover with a couple of months free subscription to their premium plan, but the premium plan outputs and reports ALSO suffer without weight data, which you could manually enter if the splash screen were not in the way. Huge miss. Oh… and the battery life is consistently about 1/2 of what they advertise and unless you’re in the app constantly, it won’t warn you with a notification when the battery is low… but they will prompt you ALL the time to enter your weight… which as stated, you cannot do. I bought the watch to avoid the subscription plans on other health devices but what I really bought was a tracking device married to a not-yet-ready for prime time app and a constant attempt to upsell me on their other devices and plans.
