  1. 5/5Saved me

Two years ago, I came down with complex regional pain syndrome that made sleeping, sitting, and all daily activities very painful. I was on multiple medication’s and no longer could work. I was very fortunate that my neighbor was a Heartmath instructor and recommended that I give it a try. I was shocked when I found that 30 minutes of Heartmath gave me more pain relief than all the pain medications I was taking and with a faster onset as well. I also found that when I would wake up in the middle of the night a 30 minute session of Heartmath would as I mentioned dramatically decrease the pain, but it also relaxed me. It allowed me to be able to return to bed. While I may not be able to go back to sleep, I felt so much more relaxed and in the morning felt restored to start the day. Over time, months, I started seeing improvement in my condition. The nights no longer became my place of fear, because of worsening symptoms. I now had a way to deal with the pain and insomnia. I’ve been doing 30 minutes first thing every morning for over a year, I don’t dare miss a day because I remember what it used to be like. If I have a symptom flare during the day, I will do Heartmath. My wife will remind me if she sees me not doing well, she is a believer. While I still have my condition it is much better and one of the pillars of my self care is HeartMath. I recommend it with 5+ stars

  2. 5/5Unexpected Miracles

Since May 31st 2023 after a course with Rollin McCraty. I have created a daily practice of 15 minutes or more per day on the Global Coherence app. Recently, my previous sensor started to act up and it was time to consider the newest of sensors, which gave me lifetime access to the newest app. What I am seeing is there are unexpected miracles showing up in my life. I am a hairstylist and the other day a woman walked in to the salon very distressed and looking for ice. She had been in a car accident at the corner near where I work. Something kicked in as I went for the bag of ice (I was present to my mind wondering if we would have a bag of ice when I got to the freezer) I was also present to a calmness in myself as I moved about. In the freezer was a perfect sized bag of ice right in front. Returning to the woman people were helping her and when I walked up to give her the ice, and as I calmly spoke to her, I sensed that she was starting to hyperventilate and be in her head. I asked her to focus her eyes with mine and I asked her to breath with me. I quickly watched her return. Thank you HeartMath For your commitment to a connected, calm and peaceful world !!! ❤️, Kathryn

  3. 2/5Pretty Skeptical

I haven’t experienced any technical issues with the app or connectivity that other reviewers have. However I have wondered about the accuracy of the Coherence Plus sensor readings. I’ve tried holding my breath during a session or rapid breathing to see if it impacted the monitor at all and so far it hasn’t represented ANY distinct change while doing these things. This is odd because these things should affect my heart rate and be clearly represented by the monitor. This lack of change in the readings has me really skeptical of whether or not the monitor actually does what it claims. Not sure if this is one big, pricey placebo or if I purchased a faulty monitor. Also, I really wish the company would’ve hired professional narrators for the guided sessions and audio books. Both the male and female narrator (the founders, I think) unfortunately have mildly annoying voices (imo) and awkward cadences that have made me not able to use any spoken content. I hope the company considers changing the narration in the future.

  4. 5/5Easy & Empowering

Wow, I have been doing heart focused breathing for a few years. It has helped stay in a regulated coherent state through many challenging situations. I just bought the inner balance sensor and got started with the app this week. I am more than thrilled with the ease of use and guided practice. It is very empowering to visually see the activity of my heart while practicing. Today’s practice was the lock in heart focused breathing technique. The explanation and teaching before and after the practice and guidance during is very beneficial for a deeper understanding of what is happening with heart focused breathing. It is motivating and encouraging. I am so happy I finally got the sensor and started using the app!!

  5. 4/5No wired option for device

If you buy the newest sensor (Inner Balance Coherence Plus) be aware that the cord is very short and the bluetooth transmitter part of the device will be right against your body. The sensor only works with iPhone via bluetooth. Probably most don't care about this, but just a heads up to those that are sensitive. When using the app, the screen will go to sleep. There is no option to disable sleep like other apps have. So, if you’re looking at the imagery to sync your breathing, the screen will go dark after a while. You have to tap the screen to return. This disrupts the meditation. I emailed support about this and they said I need to update the app to the latest version. I am using the latest version. The resources, however, are very good.
