   I’ve banked with HW for years and am loyal. The only complaint I’ve had is the ability to manage money with mobile tech. The update to the app is impressive. Finally feel like I bank with a company that utilizes new technology

2. 2/5Old app was better

   I understand the app changes and how they benefit the user, showing your deposits, spending, and honestly that has really helped me know where to cut back my spending and to save. Unfortunately the new Available versus Current balance thing is making me mental. In the old app you would be able to spend/ view your current balance immediately, but in this new design there’s an unnecessarily long wait time for it to switch from available to current. This wait time is not helping me be more financially responsible. Actually, if anything it’s motivating me to switch banks. Hey, and delayed charges have always been like that, but you know what hasn’t? Venmo, so just let me put my wimpy 20 dollars into my current balance I want to actually eat tonight.

3. 2/5Can’t make a simple payment to Credit Card from app?

   I’m writing to share feedback on the Hancock Whitney mobile app based on my experience as a customer with both a checking account and a credit card. The biggest issue is that I cannot reliably make payments to my credit card through the app. This is a basic function that should work seamlessly, and the fact that it doesn’t makes the app extremely frustrating to use. More broadly, the app feels limited and outdated. It doesn’t provide a smooth or intuitive experience, especially compared to other banking apps. Simple tasks take longer than they should, and in some cases—like credit card payments—they don’t seem to work at all. Because of this, I’ve found the app to be more of a barrier than a helpful tool. It makes managing my accounts harder, not easier. I would strongly encourage improvements to: - Ensure credit card payments within the app - Improve overall usability and navigation - Bring the app experience up to par with modern banking standards Right now, the app does not meet expectations for something as essential as managing personal finances.

   Hancock Whitney’s app history is unimpressive. The old app was pretty basic, but at least it loaded promptly. The bank launched a new app in 2025 and it was riddled with bugs, so they took it down, reverted to the old app, and even called some customers to apologize. They relaunched this new app in 2026 and it’s much worse than the old app. It takes a while to load account data and sometimes crashes. It occasionally with open my account view but say it doesn’t sync. Imagine my frustration when all I want to do is quickly log in and see my balance. It may drive me to finally close this account and consolidate at another bank I use with better technology.

5. 1/5Ugly and complicated

   Why these companies take a perfectly good app and update it with all kinds of complicated BS is beyond a mystery to me. The old app worked wonderfully, it was simple and nowhere near as complicated to navigate as this new app. It’s like they thought that by adding a dozen new features and changing everything that suddenly their app is “technological and advanced to suit all your needs just like their company” but in reality I’m looking at it and it feels like a sloppy thrown together app that has wayyyy too much going on. Sleek and simple is what we like Hancock Whitney and it’s what works best. This is just garbage.
