  1. 5/5Great Job

My son gets his haircut mainly at the Mt. Zion location and he always gets the same stylist, I can’t remember her name because we’ve had to go to another location the past two times (they were great as well) but this particular stylist lets my 5 year old tell her exactly what he wants and makes him feel so big and special. My son enjoys his haircuts and she goes above and beyond with some extra pampering and talks to him like an adult which he thinks is the coolest ever. He has recently had an obsession with Joe Burrow (who doesn’t right) He wants to dress like him and have his hair cut like him and her and the stylist at the other location always nail it. This location and the Independence location have the friendliest staff, are welcoming, and very patient. My daughter which is my sons twin sister has naturally very curly, thick, and course hair doesn’t get hers cut often but when she does it’s really just for a shape up and dusting. It’s very difficult working with her hair type and they do an outstanding job with her hair as well and are very gentle with her. If she’s just with us while brother is getting his hair cut they still interact with her and always make sure she gets a sucker too. They always honor the coupons that are advertised as I will clip it from site or screenshot it from FB and they are always willing to hemp me find them if the one I have is not correct. I highly recommend them for young ones and have never had a bad experience or a bad cut for my kids hair. 10 out 10 for both the Mt. Zion location and Independence. I am visiting this evening and will be sure to get the Mt. Zions stylist name and post again for her because she’s amazing.

  2. 5/5Great Clips Real Customer Review

This place is amazing! I had a 0 min wait time and the stylist who cut my hair, Kaitlyn, is very skilled and the atmosphere in this specific Great Clips location had a very welcoming, professional and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this location, it had such good vibes!! But seriously, Kaitlyn cut my hair exactly how I imagined it while doing it with precision and care. I also recommend using the Great Clips mobile app which can be downloaded in your App Store on your phone/device. It’s WAY more efficient and you can secure your spot in line so by the time you arrive for your appointment it’s almost always your turn walking in!! Saves time and energy all in one really easy to use mobile app! Great Clips has become a trusted and reliable haircare company and my appointment today left an amazing impression. I will be booking my next haircut with Kaitlyn who cut my hair today, she knows how to cut hair! I look so fresh, and I have no complaints whatsoever, in fact I only have good things to say about my experience.

  3. 2/5Frustrating Experience with the Great Clips App

I recently used the Great Clips app to check in online for a haircut at the Rancho Cordova location, and I must say, my experience was quite frustrating. First, the online check-in process is confusing. I arrived at the salon to find only one person ahead of me and three stylists available, yet I was told there was an 18-minute wait. This discrepancy made my visit feel disorganized, especially since I was in a hurry. To make matters worse, when I tried to cancel my check-in as I left, I found that I couldn’t do so because I was already marked as checked in. This dual-check-in system adds unnecessary confusion and needs to be streamlined. I also attempted to contact customer service for assistance but was put on hold for 15 minutes without ever reaching a representative. This lack of support is disappointing and adds to the overall frustration with the app. The app itself feels poorly designed and not user-friendly. I recommend a complete re-evaluation of the online check-in process. It would be beneficial to implement features like a simple "Arrived" button using GPS technology, which could eliminate the need for staff to manually check in customers. Additionally, integrating options for signing in with Apple, Facebook, or Google would simplify account creation and improve user experience. A loyalty program, perhaps called "Style Points," could also enhance customer engagement. Until these significant changes are made, I’m hesitant to return to Great Clips or recommend the app. I hope the corporate team takes this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future customers.

  4. 1/5Pitiful if your blind

Its pathetic that I as a blind person cannot use the app because of how poorly created it is. I should not need a sighted person helping me every time "I want to make an appointment" On "MY PHONE!" Please, will someone hire some blind people with apple devices and have them beta test this with voiceover? If you don't know what I'm talking about, settings>General>Accessibility>Voiceover. Or, Just ask Siri to turn on Voiceover. Its an accessible feature for the blind and low vision that allows someone like myself, to write a poor review on apps like this that lack a lot from mislabeled buttons to not even having the check-in button anywhere within reading range of my phones accessibility features to pick up when I'm moving my finger across the screen. Not trying to rip into yall, but too many businesses make excuses as to why they don't make things available for everyone including the blind. Too much money, would ruin the layout... I'll just say this now. Its cheep. Also, theres ways of doing it that will not kill your layout. There is a lot of blind folks out there who are computer programmers who work along with sighted computer programmers, especially at Apple. Look at a lot of apples products for a day with your eyes closed, and just using voiceover on your iPhones. Now, do the same thing with your app and you'll see what I mean. Please, I beg of you to fix this.

  5. 4/5Great service but app needs some tweaking

I have visited the same salon for years, but only recently started using the app. I don’t know if it’s saving me time or mostly saving them time, but one thing that is desperately needed is a way to request a specific stylist. In our case, it would be helpful to AVOID a specific stylist who was horrible to my young son, made him cry, flatly refused to read or replicate his previous haircut instructions and instead grabbed a pair of clippers and shaved massive amounts of hair off before I jumped up to stop her. She was extremely rude to me when I was nothing but pleasant to her, even as she was condescending and argumentative. There needs to be an option to select “first available” if a customer doesn't care who cuts their hair or a drop down list (of each stylist working at that time) so customers can request to wait for one in particular. We won’t be back until that function or option is available because I value my family’s well-being and intentionally inflicting trauma on them isn’t ok. Great Clips might operate on the idea that “anyone can do it” but the truth when dealing with the uncertainty of human attitudes and abilities is that not everyone will.
