5/5Horrible Customer Service
I purchased four pairs of shoes off GOAT before I had an issue then had 4 orders in a row canceled. Three times I ordered shoes and the seller never shipped and they refunded my money. The problem with that is instead of letting you just pick another pair of shoes it takes 7-10 days to refund your card and they wait almost 7-10 days to cancel the order so we are talking about 14-20 to get your money back. Now that happened to me 4 times in a row. I spent almost two months trying to get one pair of shoes. The problem is their setup they only take care of the seller. If you buy shoes they take your money out of your account right away but the seller has no funds being withheld so if they don’t ship it doesn’t cost them. Goat even cancelled my order seven days after I ordered because I used my wife’s credit card with her name on it. They had already withdrawn the money before they cancelled so that makes no sense as well. Talking to their customer service is of no use at all. After multiple email conversations they issued me a $20 credit if I bought another pair of shoes which after all that hassle is a joke. I’m a huge sneakerhead but the GOAT doesn’t even have customer service by phone only email and believe me they take their time getting back with you a couple times 2-3 days. But hey they get your money instantly so why should they be concerned with how prompt their customer service is. Overall I’d recommend not using GOAT unless you have at least a month and very good patience because if there is a problem even a little one it will take a month to fix. Wish I could have said better words but people need to know the truth.

5/5First Time Seller Experience
I recently sold my first two pairs of shoes a month ago they were shipped and received by Goat within a few days (so it’s been 3 weeks) and it’s understandable there would be a delay because of the current Pandemic. I was patient after an initial employee said the payout should arrive in 3-4 business days. But a week later another listing of mind sold and shipped on a Monday, got my Payout the same week. So my question is where are my first two initial pairs (one of them that were sold were Chicago 2015s) and why are they still marked as waiting for authentication when I sent another pair two weeks later and they were authenticated when they arrived? So again I sent out multiple tickets (one for each pair I sold) and after over 24 hours I got a reply I was being escalated to someone who can handle the issue and would get another update within 24 hours about it. It’s past 48 hours now and this is where I’m at. I was really hoping to have a smooth transition from StockX (switched cause their fees raised recently) and since GOAT seems to be more trusted in the community but yes it’s been a frustrating first time experience and was hoping it would’ve been better. A big reason is because they set the bar and expectation in their messaging about getting back within that time frame but haven’t, and even with Pandemic delays (which I can understand), the fact that I sold a pair and got my Payout quick after makes me worry if they even have my product still. Honestly I’ll still buy shoes from GOAT because they buyer experience has always been smooth for me and their payment options are more diverse. It makes me worry though if something were to happen that Customer Service would net the same result. Unfortunately might have to go back to StockX just cause I’ve never had this type of problem getting in touch with customer service.

1/5MAJOR DIFFICULTY MAKING PURCHASES
I have made numerous purchases on here spending a lot of money and time and effort and buying many pairs of different sneakers. I know there are human mistakes at times as we all make them but there has been two different purchases that I have made on GOAT were one they just gave me the correct size and gave me a $20 credit for the inconvenience. But the last purchase I made I had to do two returns because they gave me the same sneaker the second time I ordered it. I have lost a ton of money and shipping and taxes as obviously GOAT doesn’t give you the tax or shipping back that you have spent. I also had to spend time printing return labels, and money gas money on going back-and-forth. I’m returning these products and the only thing they gave me is what I spent on the actual sneaker so now I am out around close to $100. They would not give me a full refund to how I originally paid so they gave me just a go credit so I had to order another pair of sneakers with money. I didn’t expect to spend because I wanted to particular pair of sneakers which I got somewhere else because I was too scared to order from GOAT again, but because they gave me a credit from the original amount of the actual just sneakers, I had to go on order a different pair of sneakers just to use the credit. Going forward after I get this purchase I will never go through GOAT again to buy anything or make any purchases further.

1/5Goat is a joke
Submitted my shoes for inspection as a buyer and was told a “specialist” deemed my shoes as USED. My shoes have never been used. I tried them on, yes, logical thing to do. By categorizing my shoes as used they are giving the false impression that the shoes have worn out and about. The pictures of my shoes had zero marks on the soles and shoe itself. According to the logical thinkers of goat all of footlockers shoes must be “used” then if someone even tries them on. Next thing you know, it’ll be considered used if you even touch the sneakers. What a joke. Ruined my transaction and more importantly my time. Do not use this app. There is no number to call for support. They respond in 3-4 days to your email. These snobs pretend to be the high standards of the sneaker world when in reality they have awful quality control. Numerous reviews have people receiving used sneakers and lack of ability to buy and sell. IE… The same sneakers you bought new from goat will be considered used (even if you never worn the sneaker) and try to resell. Buy your sneakers elsewhere. Sell your sneakers elsewhere. Goat takes 9.5% fee and you pay for shipping. To cash out and deposit money into your account will cost another 2.5%. If you use paypal that’s 2.5% to transfer into PayPal and then PayPal charges another 2% to transfer to your bank! After all the fees and costs what are you really left with? If you buy something and you want a return…you only get goat credit not your original money!

1/5They’re wannabe con artists
Goat tried to not follow their own terms of service. I sent a pair of shoes and box in perfect condition, I even made sure to take pictures of the shoes and box from EVERY angle as well as the packaging used to show it was adequate enough to protect from damage. When the shoes arrived at their facility the Authenticator claimed the box was badly damaged. Goat offers no proof of damage, no pictures or anything, just a claim by an authenticator and will say that’s the final word. The courier must have shaken my box up or the authenticator must have cut and damaged my box when unpacking it but they tried to pin it on me. For over a month I went back and forth and even had my tickets closed with no response. Goat tried to claim human authenticators cannot make errors which is untrue given that stock x is being sued by Nike for that very same claim as no human authenticator is 100% accurate. They tried to claim my proof of my item in good condition and packaging meant nothing. Customer service reps and supervisors went back and forth with me for a month and tried to get out of following their own terms of service. If an item is sent and the seller sends an item off in the condition it was listed for sale and then said item shows up damaged then it is no fault of the seller and the seller is to be credited for the sale. I’ve lost all trust with goat and I’m unsure if I would ever use their platform for another sale ever again.

can't buy anything from this app as it crashes every time I try to update my profile with my phone number, shipping address etc. Dodged a bullet, think its a scam with positive reviews from bots? 🤦🏻♂️

Zero buyer protection against flaking sellers. I bought a $1,346 collectible, and while waiting weeks for authentication, the market jumped $500. The seller canceled to relist higher, and GOAT just refunded me. They allow sellers to break locked-in deals risk-free while holding your funds hostage during price spikes. GOAT does not enforce sales or protect buyers from market jumps. Avoid them for time-sensitive collectibles—use TCGplayer or direct shops instead.

App opens to a black screen w a prompt box that only says "okay" on the button. Nothing to sekect "okay" about, just the button that DORS NOTHING when I press it. I cleared the cache, same result. Uninstalled/reinstalled, same result. No response from customer service... pretty sure I still have an active balance too...
