   Although I'm thankful to be able to have this feature, it's honestly so annoying it constantly has issues.. first of all, it took about a week after confirming my email before it actually really confirmed my email. I had to go back-and-forth from the website to the app after uninstalling and re-downloading each day about four times…. I made a deposit for $40 and it didn't register it for a couple of hours so I went and made another deposit and all of a sudden I had $80… I tried to upload videos, but it only pulls maybe a days worth of saves even when I allow full access… I opened it one time after Reeene /bling I/ full access and I saw all my pictures but the next time I closed and open the app, it went back back to only having a few pictures available. The videos constantly have issues uploading inconsistent and then I get a notification that the app is having issues… About once a day I get a notification that I have to verify my account. It's a little orange colored pop-up that says OK which you usually have to click to make go away… But it would not disappear. I had to uninstall the app once or twice a week just to ensure it function appropriately… Just very appropriate for the type of system systems you expect to have from the state

2. 1/5Exploitive Profiteering Thieves & Criminals

   They charge exorbitant amounts of money in fees unless they have a court order not to. They charge over a dollar to send a ten second video from your phone. This is one thousand percent nothing but theft and exploitation. Now I can't add funds to the app because it's glitching, tried to go online and do it. Have you ever read their privacy policy? It tells you they need to track the websites you have been to just in case you clicked a link so that they can pay the people who had the link you clicked. I Call baloney. This is the only way to send electronic messages to a literal captive person. I am not giving them money because someone advertised the product to me. What they really use it for is investigations. Any information they collect from you is made readily available to whatever agency they want to give it to. That isn't okay and we already know not just any cop and not just any agency can be trusted but here they are just violating our privacy and selling our information. That would be one thing if it was optional to choose this means of communication over another, but it isn't, in this day and age, we do need electronic messaging and we are forced to violate ourselves just to help a loved one. that is so incredibly wrong to force people to let them sell your browsing history to the police just to talk to someone you care about. i wasted over an hour today trying to pay online on the website but of course it doesn't work with privacy protections. this app is evil this is a violation and i hate it.

   PLEASE GET A NEW SYSTEM. We shouldn’t have to put money on Icsolutions to talk on the phone/receive calls from our loved one but then on the GTL APP..and NOT ONLY on our loved ones end (minimum $10 to send a 20 cent message) but ON OUR END AS WELL (another minimum $10). That’s $20 minimum a week plus $1.60 for 15 minutes on icsolutions unless it’s a Sunday & you only can/want/need to talk to your loved one, twice that day or save one for another day. Not only is this the most unorganized system/s, it’s extremely inefficient and inconvenient during these rough times for both parties. Let’s not mention the headphones that don’t have working microphones so they can call while on lockdown (1130am-230pm, 5/530pm-730am). Do better GTL, connect, icsolutions, Riverside regional correctional facility, the judges that own that jail, the community. Come on, something has to give!! Let’s not get started on the food! Ordered a hot plate 6/7. My loved one STILL HAS NOT RECEIVED IT!!! That is unacceptable! The staff who answer the phones are the most unprofessional and unethical people I have ever spoken to on the phone. By the way, I’m a compliance officer for the state of VA. GET IT TOGETHER, PLEASE.

4. 1/5Overpriced and Glitchy

   Considering the 50¢ a message now, one would think that the app would be significantly better than what it is. This is my second time using this platform out of necessity and I swear it was less problematic 4 years ago during my first experience. Without fail I experience a couple of glitches weekly that are a huge inconvenience and annoyance so here’s some examples: the only card I use on the app will occasionally be unaccepted, instructing me to call customer service who has no idea why the problem occurs or how to fix it and will then deposit money without any difficulties. Despite my phone automatically inputting my email and password every time I login, I get informed that my information is invalid. Sometimes the issue corrects itself but other times I’ve had to resort to resetting my password. Then sometimes when I’m trying to add funds to my account, the app will allow me to get two steps in and then glitch back to the first screen and it will keep doing it until it eventually stops at some point later on. I sincerely mean it when I say that this app is so bad that I only use it because it’s my only option.

5. 1/5Still Freezing!! After all the fixes a week ago?? 😢😢

   Please! Please! This is my 3rd review whether you posted or not? You saw them! My complaint is the Same complaint as the First below mine, and almost every one after! Why is it still freezing? Either it freezes on the Texting agreement page, forever even after reinstalling! Or it freezes on the home page! You can’t click on anyone! Nobody! Some of your loved ones, this (messaging) is the ONLY way of communication. I can’t click on either of my loved ones, it’s just froze! The web is frustrating and it’s been hacked so can be confusing for some especially new users! That’s what the app is for and why You suggest it. Please look at all these families who can’t use this app right now! I don’t care if you post this! Just hear me-US! Fix this issue please or find someone who can? Too much longer and I’m going to write the Prison SI! The old way was better and price isn’t really much different, more imo. Everything went right through and too our phones monitored! No money issues nothing! Please for all of these families and our loved ones! Thank you!
