1. 5/5Meal planning overwhelm cure!!

   To say Emeals has changed my family lives is an understatement! If you know you should be meal but the very thought of coming up for meal ideas, recipes, making a list and shopping a list is sending you into a state of perpetual overwhelm then this is for you. We were stuck in a perpetual cycle of eating pre- prepared expensive meals that we were tired of and all started to taste the same. I never knew what we were eating one meal to the next, with the daily struggle of “what are we going to eat tonight”. I knew I needed to start cooking but the overwhelm was paralyzing. Then I found Emeals! I did the 2 week trial and I was hooked. It’s so easy just to pick the meals and it makes a list and sends it off to Walmart for pick up. Don’t worry you can pick the brands you want from a list of alternatives. They give you a menu each week and additional options if you don’t like those. You can switch between meal plans also if nothing in your meal plan looks good to you. I have found so many very tasty and easy recipes. You can save the ones you love and make them again whenever you want. Will I use it forever? I don’t know. I know it’s not going anywhere soon. It was certainly well worth the cost. I’m becoming so much more confident in my cooking skills and have been trying all sorts of new things. My 12 year old son said “dinner has definitely got an upgrade since we started Emeals”. So if your dinner needs a kid approved upgrade then you have found the right place.

   I’ve been using this app for a long time now—6+ years? I’ve always loved it and recommend it to everyone I know. I send your recipes on to some of my favorite people. I really haven’t cooked anything not on this app in a long time. I feel like I’ve become a better “cook,” from using this app. People who come to my house for a meal always compliment what I’ve made. Before eMeals I only had one recipe I was brave enough to serve to guests. Now I have a whole repertoire—no matter dietary restrictions. Honestly, a life changer for me. Thank you. You added a feature to add recipes from other sources. Well, I’ve added a few things I want to try and boy do I have mad respect. Part of the beauty of this app that I didn’t realize is how talented your writers are. I have never been intimidated by any of your recipes. They seem manageable and I’ve proven I can do them. Well, I just tried a recipe from a different source and jeepers. It is written terribly. It seemed really complicated. Well. I read through the lengthy recipe and made sense of it. It was so easy to simplify the whole process. They made it like a billion dumb steps that could be super simplified. So based on what I’ve learned from this app I improvised. All on my own. I have you and your unsung writers to thank. Honestly, you’ve changed my attitude about what kind of “cook” I am. Thank you. Thank you thank you. Shout out to the recipe writers!!

3. 5/5Solves All my dinner problems

   1- saves time- it’s fast and efficient. I can send the grocery list to the Kroger app if I don’t have time to shop or I can use the list on app to quickly fly through store and get what I need in person, fast. 2-Saves Money- in the clean eating plan (and maybe others) the recipes call for produce that is in season and usually on sale. The recipes call for ingredients and spices that usually already have on hand so I’m only buying the protein and produce I need- no exotic (read expensive) ingredients that hurt my budget 3-saves the waistline- my cooking is consistently healthier using the recipes in the app. Making a healthy weekly meal plan takes maybe 5 minutes and ensures that I will have all the ingredients to stay on track w healthy eating all week. Bonus- new to cooking? Try this. The recipes are simple and you will get faster w every meal you cook. If you can read and follow directions you can cook these meals. Another bonus- the recipes taste great and having a plan encourages my kids to try a variety of veggies and foods we might not otherwise try. When my kids want a break from my “healthy meals” I let them pick a meal from the kid friendly plan and they help me cook it. Do I sound like an ad for emeals? Probably! It’s saved me so much time and money that I love to tell people about it. I’ve been using emeals for years and I love it.

   Updated customer service has since refunded my money. The app is awesome. Loved using it. Our lives recently became more hectic and we do not have time to cook so we went with a meal service. Hence me wanting to cancel. I enjoy cooking but my job changed and thus the time to spend enjoying cooking. If you want thought practical receipts that fit your dietary needs this is the app to go to. I actually have enjoyed using this app and have used it for my family off and on since it came out. Love the feature of pushing the grocery list to the store. However, I am really unhappy with the response we got when it came down to a recent renewal. Our lives have changed and having time to cook right now in our home is limited. I did not receive a friendly reminder your subscription is going to renew. On the day it was renewed I saw it come across my card and immediately reached out explaining I needed to cancel that i had not been able to use the app for nearly 6 months due to time constraints. Most companies send a reminder a couple days before. Most companies will oblige and reverse the charges. As better to hope the customer will come back when they can. I received a too bad so dad emailed and no refund. Maybe I am petty but what the FFF!! Really. Thanks for your great service. What I will confirm is I will never use this service again and have told everyone to use another service. Which is not as good but the service Is way better. There I got that off my chest. Beware and make sure you cancel before it renews. I did not order the app via Apple Store. I ordered it via their website. So make sure if you use it via the web you cancel all in advance.

5. 4/5Absolute Potential

   I love the premise of it, I use it all the time and I feel like it makes dinner a lot easier. The recipes are easy and delicious, no complaints there... however. There seem to be two glaring bugs that knock the app itself down a star each, and once they’re fixed then I will happily revise my review. The first issue I have is that the Favorites section seems to be inconsistent. I favorited a lot of recipes only to find that they all disappeared one day. I don’t know if it’s because a new week of recipes came out, but it was incredibly frustrating. With that said, I wish they’d add a search feature for recipes on the main page in case it does happen again (which hopefully it wouldn’t). Secondly, I downloaded the app onto my iPad initially because it’s a big, nice screen to reference compared to the phone. I also downloaded the app on my phone so I can build the week’s menu and do my shopping on the go, but they don’t seem to sync. I created a new menu (and therefore a new list) that shows up on my iPad, but I can’t find a way for it to update on my phone. Also kind of frustrating! If those two issues were fixed I’d have no qualms about the app in any way. I already recommend it to people I know, but for regular users I feel that these two fixes would elevate the app and experience to a whole new level. Please consider looking into these!
