   I’m only putting 5 stars so that this’ll be at the top and people can see this. Out of all of the apps I finally decided to pay for it’s subscription and the one I chose happened to be one this one unfortunately, out of all of the matches I only got 1 response and was online and the rest were never online meaning they were probably filler accounts/bots. I bought the premium because it kept saying that someone liked me and there would be captions on their profiles saying “she chose you over 15 other guys” but when I would switch sections that number would change meaning it was just a fake automated message by Duet trying to pressure you into buying their subscription by making you think that someone’s interested but then you find out it’s a filler account. Another thing to mention is that after I canceled my membership it was constantly bugging me to verify my picture or saying it wasn’t clear enough when clearly it was clear enough, I even zoomed in on it and changed photos but it kept telling me there was something wrong with it but there wasn’t at all. So unless if they do a lot of improvement on this app I would highly recommend not buying their subscriptions until they fix it and to be honest I wouldn’t even waste your time trying to use it for free because it’s basically impossible to find someone on here.

2. 4/5Could be better but not bad

   It’s my 2nd day using the app. I read reviews prior to using knowing it may not be much different than other dating apps. My experience so far is that I saw quality matches first followed by profiles that did not match the criteria I specified such as ethnicity. I upgraded to premium for a month and expected I’d be able to use advanced filters and at least be able to message (praise) profiles I liked but it didn’t allow me to. They want you to upgrade to supreme for another $30. That’s disappointing. Basically, all I can do with the minimum subscription is see my likes. Not a fan. Not worth the $25 monthly spend if you ask me but I am seeing matches in my area instead of areas super far away as some reviews mentioned. Maybe that will start happening soon after I run out of profiles. I also don’t like that even though I pass on certain profiles, they still have the ability to like me. Basically, the same profiles are being recycled back in. I don’t care for that. Duet can do better with the pricing and user experience when it comes to setting criteria and filtering down to what you’re looking for. It shouldn’t cost as much as it does. If it doesn’t change I’ll likely cancel and get off this app. They already know but will they do anything to retain users? Probably not. Lastly, I already ran into a fake profile. It showed he was verified but the behaviors mirrored those of a scammer and right away I knew so tell me how does that happen Duet???? It’s such a waste of my time and money.

3. 5/5Solid new dating app, growing userbase

   Every dating app has low reviews that say what these other ones are saying. But seriously this is pretty much the only non-match group app that is doing well. It is new, which is why it probably shows people from a bit further away to make up for the lack of density compared to established apps. But I give it a few months before this problem is reduced as the app is really gaining users at a pretty rapid pace if you check their analytics on the internet. I get a great amount of matches and they tend to be attractive. Sometimes you’ll get the feeling that an app has less quality people because it’s not the most established one, but duet seriously has no issue with quality. Also, it is a non-issue if you live in a larger metro area because there’s so many people that it makes up for it. I have no idea what other people are doing but I haven’t seen any bots. Just a few girls trying to plug their OF but they get banned after a few days.(I know this bcuz the app notifies u if a match gets banned) The app does advertise premium heavily, but a lot of the features are things that aren’t provided at all by other apps(like seeing who viewed you), so I don’t care much for having it or not. You get ~10-35 free swipes a day which is enough as long as you are patient and selective. My verdict is this: GIVE IT A TRY

4. 3/5My honest review

   In complete and total honesty, I’ve been looking for an app to replace Tinder. However, Duet does hold matches from you in an attempt to make you buy their premium feature. The problem with that is it discourages new people from staying and it means that buying the premium is worth it because there’s only few people. My honest advice is to just wait until the app developers realize that is actually making people leave and reverse it. Other than the app holding matches from you in an attempt to get you to buy premium, the app’s usability is decent. It’s not as streamlined as Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble, so people are forced to take a good minute to actually put effort into their profile. Making profiles more mandatory to get verified is a very good policy to have as it’ll stop bots and fakes from getting on the app. The profiles themselves were good, people do take time to build it up, and put their information. Even the ones with no bio, there’s still plenty of info for them to share. Price of Premium is another problem. With the app not having many people, i wouldn’t pay $24 a month. If it were up to me, premium would be $10 a month, in attempt to keep what community i have, and encourage building up because i know a majority of people want a replacement for Tinder. In conclusion I do not recommend Duet as it’s a ghost town, and it’ll stay a ghost town. However if premium is reversed you make see people flock in.

   This app is way worse at tempting you to spend money than Tinder and Bumble. For example, you have to pay to specifically see members who are nearby your location. If you pay, you will see the profiles, but you can’t swipe right or left; you are forced to either send them a crush, which is different from a like, or a praise, which is a message. BOTH crush and praise are limited to like 3 each, and then you have to pay for more. Again, you CANNOT sen these nearby members a like, even if you paid for unlimited likes, which I did. Further, the filters are limited, and you are FORCED to see people outside of your preferences such as age range and distance from you. Other apps like Tinder give you the option to not see people outside of your preferences. Duet does NOT, so you will see people who live in different states not even 50 miles close to you. Further, even though Duet advertises no fake profiles, I’m convinced that it will choose random accounts and force those accounts to send you a like. For example, the moment my account was created, I received four likes instantly, but obviously couldn’t see who liked me until I bought the subscription. Three of them were not even in the same state as me, and the only one I liked back hasn’t even replied to my message. In fact before I liked them, I saw that they lived in the same county as me, and after I matched, their location changed to a different state.
