3/5Needs accessibility improvements with Voiceover screen reader
Most of the app works well with Voiceover screen reader. I am especially happy with the shopping screen. But when I tried to set up my pop-up store and how to receive payment, many of the edit boxes did not work. If I double tapped an edit box, the letters did not speak as they usually do when I have keys set to announce when I type them. On the screen where I was supposed to enter the details about the organization, the only field that worked properly at all was the pop-up with the state names. These issues make it less likely that I would recommend your fundraiser to other screen reader users. I hope you will fix these issues in the future. 1/5Beware of tax implications
My sports team used this as a fundraising source last year with great success! We decided to do it again this year and much to our delight, we raised over $8k and we get to keep half. Except this time they require an EIN if it’s for an organization or your own personal SSN to send you a 1099 in order to receive your payout. Because this wasn’t the case last year and it was not disclosed clearly when starting a new event, we’re now losing out on thousands of dollars because my team is not a formal business and I refuse to give them my SSN and be the sole bearer of tax implications. I asked if they could split the earnings among all the participants so that it would at least be less than $600 each and not be taxable and their suggestion is that each person should just hold their own event instead. This is AFTER we’ve already had our fundraiser. Who is going to go back to everyone they know and ask them to buy MORE popcorn? So if you’ve read this far, just know this is great if whoever you’re fundraising for has an EIN or you want to personally be taxed for your earnings.

Actual rating would be a 4.5. Super easy and efficient in terms of getting invites out and having the product ship directly to the customer. So much simpler than trying to distribute on your own. however, I did run into a couple of glitches trying to set up. I was unable to change my fundraising goal from $500 after setting up my account. I didn't intend to choose a fundraising goal until I had explored the site and conferred with my team. I thought that step would be something I did once my store was set up. also, when adding invitees, it would be helpful to have known how many I could send at once. thanks for a great program and a great app!

1/5Blind-sided type of fundraiser
This fundraiser sounds & seems great yet it is not! The company needs to be honest because they are still getting majority of the funds! Once the link is shared, a selection for purchase is done, now it’s payment time! At the payment time, the customer is charged a shipping fee & then taxed as well! So the entire order is charged an additional $15 - $20! Wowww is what I thought and helped me to understand why many wouldn’t participate! So DoubleGood is getting half of what is sold plus additional with shipping & taxes! The group doesn’t receive half off the entire purchase but just the main initial purchase items! How is this fair to the kids, adults or anyone that’s doing this fundraiser! Then a customer complained and said the bags are not even full with the popcorn! Geesh, what a way to get over but seems to be out for the good of the customer, Jesus! I do get it that this is a business and no one has to use the fundraiser if they don’t want to! Yet I was still wondering where is the honesty & due diligence in owning this company as well as truly helping kids & groups raise money! Nonetheless, I hope there can be improvement in truly helping raise money & enough product in the bags when customers receive their bought items! Praying that my concern be received, accepted & acted upon! Yet if not thank you for allowing me to give a review!

5/5Best fundraiser ever!
If you want to raise a lot of money in a quick, easy, young and old friendly way, Double Goof is the way to go. First, who doesn’t love popcorn or at least know someone who does?!?! Second, who doesn’t want to do a fundraiser that literally only requires downloading an app, sending text messages with a link and sitting back and letting your family and friends do the rest. This effort build a level of sisterly competition for us and made reaching a tremendous goal so much fun. The leaderboard is a game changer. People want to be seen as a contribution, regardless of how much they help raise, and the leaderboard makes that possible with fun transparency and competition. We plan to do this annually as it is such a great opportunity to raise funds for scholarships and have delicious fun at the same time.
