1/5Good idea, such a bad implementation
I've been a software designer, developer and manager for more than three decades and I have rarely seen a technology concept that was such a good idea so poorly designed, built and tested. Seems like the marketing people, obviously new graduates from the Imagineering school at Disney, felt that animated squirrels were more important than useful error screens and functional test scripts. Experience with the app from my extended pool of Utah Friends and Family ranged from poor to exasperating with the median results being the ability to create an account, have the app find immunization records, report the same and universally never display them. Mostly showing a pretty blue page with nothing on it except "Immunization Records updated on" xxxx Date. And that's all. No pdf, no display, nada. Through probably 60 trials over the course of fifteen days of various combinations and permutations of app deletion, account deletion and anything else we could think of, that's all we got. Bupkus. We suspect the money folks allotted 80 percent of the dollars to squirrel design, fifteen percent to coding and five percent to quality assurance. Well, ya got what you paid for. Too bad, cuz you could have built a helpful and profitable product instead of an infinite rewrite morass. Sigh.

1/5Having personal information updated is a nightmare!
The Docket App after downloading and finding myself had the incorrect phone number so that I could confirm it was myself. The phone number listed I did not even recognize as an old phone number of mine. What I had to go through to update my phone number simply was utterly absurd & shocking in how much I had to do and how long it took! I had to upload a copy of my license front/back, my COVID vaccine card, as well as a document to NJIIS in which I had to download, printout, fill out, print. Then take a picture of it so I could send that along with my license, and proof of vaccine. The sheet for NJIIS that had to fill out was made for people who want to make changes to their vaccine more so then simply update a phone number. After getting all of these documents into a format I could upload to the NJIIS website, I then sent them and waited for a couple weeks to get a response other then the original email response saying they will get back to me. (My other option listed on Docket was to go to my healthcare provider and have them update this information). Rather then schedule a doctors appointment to do something that should not have even been an error in the first place, I waited and finally I received an e-mail saying my phone number has been updated. The strange thing I found out with docket is the only immunization record that it shows for me whatsoever is my Coronavirus vaccine. I would have thought my childhood vaccinations would have been listed as well. But I guess that is not the case with “docket” (or not the case myself). “Clear App” is a great alternative that I found and set up in under 2 minutes in full, I highly suggest that route. And I imagine just like NY, NJ will follow with more options to show our Vaccine Proof in the future. If there is other options available such as “Clear” I highly suggest you save yourself the trouble and frustration of using Docket!

2/5Great idea but very buggy if you have multiple family members
I love the concept of docket but the actual execution of this app is poor. If you have multiple family members as I do, e.g. two adults and two children, the app refuses to switch profiles. If I add child A and click on that child, everything shows up. After adding child B and clicking on child B, I can no longer view child A. This makes it unusable for families, thus the 2 star rating. For some reason Adults are handled differently and after some multiple clicking back and forth, I can switch from my wife’s profile back to my own but it’s quite buggy which makes it stressful to use in a real world scenario. For any other state officials considering this app, I suggest they require a User Interface update before committing any resources to them. Also one other bug which is quite a bit more serious is that my wife’s covid inoculation records were incorrect. At first it showed her only having one shot instead of the two she had gotten, the last of which was 4 months ago. As of a couple of days ago, her record was ‘updated’ and it’s showing she has had 3 shots which is also wrong. If this is truly going to be a ‘vaccine passport’ it needs to be a lot more accurate. However, I won’t blame Docket on this bug as it’s most likely the State of Utah providing the wrong data to Docket but there needs to be better verification and accountability between the two organizations if this app is going to be used as a type of legal document providing proof of vaccination. For the Docket Dev team, I’m running iOS 14.8 (saw issue on 14.7 as well) on an iPhone X11 Pro Max with a dynamic text size of 4 notches from the left in the text settings with ‘bold enabled’ . Hope that helps and I really want to see this app succeed thus all the detailed feedback. Good luck Docket!

5/5No longer working
When I originally downloaded the app it worked well. Then out of the blue, I couldn’t open it and all I had was a blue screen with the Docket logo. I called tech support and while they were extremely helpful, they were unable to solve the problem. They asked me to delete the app (which of course deleted the data) and we spent time (re) uploading and deleting multiple times to no avail. Have powered down the phone and tried the same thing for the better part of 2 days now and every time the blue screen and logo just ‘sits’ there. Sad that this no longer serves a purpose for me! Super disappointed as it was very useful (when it worked). Thank you for fixing the bug!

5/5Docket App
Love the App! Most importantly I wasn’t able to get into the App prior an email I received! At first I thought it was a scam. I emailed back I’m not sending my ID you should have my info with the Statefrom the vaccinations for Covid19. I stated anymore info or to verify my info that your a rep. from the State plz call. I must say that you guys are on top of your game! I tried a few times & it wouldn’t work so I was going to try it the next day. The correction was made by Claudia Arredondo. I just realized I emailed you then she called me back! Okay anyway she was amazing! It was so easy my wife had to put in all the site codes ! Thanks again William Leahy
