5/5Friendly App * Best Card with an Annual Fee
Credit One was my first starter card after years without a credit card of any kind. The reasonable annual fee is worth the perks that the card offers, for instance if i use it for auto rental fees they cover the upgraded insurance - not total insurance but the upgrade from your personal liability - and additional warranty on particular products purchased, & more. That was my agreement, others may vary. After about six months of timely payments i received offers for other cards without an annual fee, & lower interest rates. At the same time Credit One offered to increase my limit, offered another card with no fee & a higher limit, & lowered their interest on any balance carried, so they stayed competitive. Credit One’s customer service is first-rate, comparable to big-name cards. The app on my iphone is simple & user-friendly so I’m downloading it to my ipad now. Easy to use online with windows too. I’m an elderly retiree who considers myself technologically challenged so if i can use it almost anyone can. In summary i highly recommend Credit One especially as a starter card, for the credit-challenged, or if the perks make it worth the annual fee. I renew because their updates keep them competitive, and that how long your accounts/cards have been open is considered in a credit score - with Credit One being my oldest.

5/5Impressive!
For a credit card app, the Credit One card management app is very impressive! I love that the user interface is so modern, uncluttered and easy to use. Everything you need to know is on the home screen. First time setup for credit card payment is a breeze, easily allowing you to enter your payment account information. Setting up the auto-pay feature is very easy to do as well (which I highly recommend so you don’t forget to make payments on time!). Overall, the entire user interface is very nice looking, which is a welcome feature considering other credit card management apps are so archaic, clumsy, disorganized and just plain hard setup and use. The app will allow you to setup first time online account access, I believe, judging from the choices it offers you when you first launch the app. I set up my online account on the web when I first received my credit card in order to actually activate the card itself, which I think is genius! You’re REQUIRED to set up online account access to ACTIVATE your credit card, which adds SECURITY and peace of mind! Most credit cards ask you to just call a toll free number and verify some information which can be obtained by identity thieves. If your card is stolen from your mailbox, this can be a risk. However, Credit One makes it much more difficult to even activate the card without online account access, which is protected by 2 factor authorization to begin with. I hope this detailed review helps! I’m NOT an EMPLOYEE of Credit One and I’m NOT RECEIVING COMPENSATION or INCENTIVES by Credit One. This review is voluntary and written to help anyone needing more information about the Card management app. Thank you.

5/5Can I just make a payment?
Okay I’m going to try to explain the problems I have with Credit One. Maybe I’m just an idiot but I’ll try to explain it the best I can. So I have an annual or monthly fee whether I use the credit card or not. That’s fine. I get it. When the fee debits from my available credit, I pay it immediately. I have it set up where I receive an email alert as soon as the fee is posted to my account. The payment is usually debited from checking account pretty quickly so all is good right. No, no, Credit One still reports that I have a balance to the credit bureaus even though my balance was paid in full immediately. This really pisses me off. Now, Credit One is making me verify my checking account every time I go to make a payment. It takes 3-5 business days before my account is verified before I can make a payment. They will not allow me to use an alternate payment method until my checking account is verified. Keep in mind, I’ve already verified my checking account and I use said account to make multiple payments. What a freaking joke. This company is a set up from the start and they will burn you every chance they get. I highly recommend you do not use this company. They are a scam. Thank you for your time.

1/5Never use you again
You are awful! You give late fees after people call to tell you you had fraud charges on the account that’s on the auto pay, then you remove the auto pay without letting me know for NO reason and when I think I’m on it, I get a paper statement over a week after my payment due date with late fees! Make that make sense???!!! You don’t remove people off of auto pay first of all without contacting them, especially when it’s no reason then if your customer contacts you to let you know that you had fraud charges and that as soon as you get a new card, you’ll put it in there and reassure them that you won’t get late fees and that as soon as I put my new payment information and it’ll go automatically back on auto pay and it doesn’t and you’re continuing to get late fee fees when you think you’re on auto pay, I would never get a credit card through this company ever again they like late fees they don’t let you know when stuff happens. They take you off of auto pay for no reason so they can rack up the late fee fees. Don’t apply for this card! Also after you set up auto pay and for some reason, it magically disappears. They’ll tell you that you never set up auto pay to begin with when you know in fact you did cause that’s all I ever use is auto pay for all of my cards to make sure that they’re paid on time and that there’s no late fees and then it just automatically disappears one day and then there you go bam I’m another late fee!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!

4/5Opinion Change
At some point in time, I became a little ambivalent about my Visa Credit One account. I was using my Discover card most of the time. I started getting texts from Credit One about being ‘late’ with my payment. ‘LATE’? What? I hadn’t even used it, ever. I wanted it closed immediately & why I had a late ‘fee’ on top of everything else. The charge was about an annual ‘service’ fee. I was not happy. I paid the fee right then & the Rep waived the late fee. I said, “close this account”. The Rep lowered my annual fee to 1/2 to convince me to just leave it open. I reluctantly agreed. She sent me a new card. I never even activated it. Then, sometime passed & I get another late fee notice. That was it! No convincing me this time. I called & explained my ire. She apologized & said she could not see where I had ever activated my card, I said, “Yes, that’s right, it’s still in the envelope” as I had no intention of using it. Then everything changed. I got hacked (phished) by a ‘ring’ in Europe. They took all my money, Crypto, checking & savings in September, 2025. I had one (1) saving grace to get me through the last 2 weeks in September, the Credit One Visa card. It’s been a struggle for me since that hacking took place, but I haven’t starved & my lights are still on. So, the moral of my story, never say never! Thanks for asking for this review😊

My only complaint would be the amount of time it takes to process payments without having to pay a fee is ridiculous.... otherwise, I like the card service.
