1. 5/5Best WiFi service hands down

   I recently moved to a new address and there was no cable coming into my home. I spoke someone at cox and at first was told it was going to cost me $100 to have them install the correct wiring so that I could get WiFi. After doing a little bit of complaining to management I got a call from a wonderful lady that works with cox from her home in Escondido, her name is Susan. She was able to order my installation completely for free and to get the panoramic WiFi at a pretty decent price. I am overall very happy with my new service. I have since then had a few questions about getting cox for my cell phone provider an since Susan gave me her phone number she has been amazing at always answering all my calls and giving me the best information that she has with regards to pricing etc. this is something I am giving careful consideration to in the near future. For now I am happy with everything and cox has been amazing. Nothing bad to say from this end. Thank you cox cable for delivering amazing customer service and having very competitive pricing for my needs.

2. 1/5WORST INTERNET PROVIDER

   I’ve moved throughout the US and have had multiple different internet service providers, but never have I had one as bad as COX. I stay in an apartment complex that unfortunately has COX as a internet company and I should have moved. My first 6 months were terrible. I work during the day and take classes at night, and every night at 2 am the modem reset. Every single night for 6 months my modem reset, I had a previous internet provide who had the same situation, but they explained it was due to updating the modem, so I was able to change the time to when I was at work. When I contacted to inquire why my modem was resetting at 2am, they went to explain they didn’t know why it was doing that. I asked further questions and they stated that they had no idea what was going on and I had to wait 2 months for a technician to come out to fix the problem. After 2 more months of interruptions of my classes, I had a technician come out to look at the modem. He stated that there was nothing wrong with it. He stated he couldn’t identify what the problem was and proceeded to leave. After that, my modem never restarted again. The wifi app is terrible, I restarted my modem through the app because the internet was spotty and nothing in my house could connect to the modem again. I had to pull the plug in the back, and plug it back in for my internet to be full work again. Once I move, I will absolutely never get COX wireless. The only thing good about their service is 24 hours customer service but they can’t help with your problem, it is pointless.

3. 1/5Unreliable! New “updated” router now blocking devices; NO help fixing from COX

   When inquiring about adding an extender, the COX rep recommended I also exchange the old router for a newer “updated” router. I followed her recommendation (plus considering adding 2 cell lines to the landline and internet service currently with cox). After installing the new router and extender, I discovered one of the security camera systems was no longer available on my iphones or ipads. This had never been an issue with the previous router. Numerous phone calls and “resets” (now running into hours of time) have failed to correct this. The reps are courteous but just providing lip service; They just keep passing me to someone else or putting me on hold and later disconnecting. After lengthy conversations yesterday, (to no avail), I discover this morning that now all my devices are no longer connected and apparently blocked now. (One iphone and one ipad reconnected @ 2.5g, when I tried the reboot process). Prior to this morning at least everything was connected except the one security system. 14 other devices now will not connect. NONE of these issues existed on the “old” setup. If someone at COX doesn’t get this fixed soon I am pulling the plug on all COX services and will NO LONGER recommend or approve use of COX in any of my personal or professional activities. (So much for their “continuous care” service)

4. 1/5Worst cable and wifi EVER

   After living in several cities and states amd going through many different providers over the past several years, AND after giving tjem NUMEROUS times to correct and improve, I will now attest that Cox Cable in Green Valley AZ is indeed the WORST provider of wifi and cable tv that we have ever experienced. For the cable, It constantly hangs up, goes out, skips forward, freezes, and goes totally black, whether it’s a recording or live tv, and the wifi/internet goes out so often that it has cost us hundreds of dollars in not being able to control our smart appliances (such as our thermostat) while we are away that we could have paid double for a reliable service and saved hundreds of dollars over just a few months. We’ve had service professionals come to our house several times, and while they are amazing, and do their best to address the issues, they can’t control the crux of tje problem, which is TERRIBLE CONNECTIONS. Some service techs have even admitted that they (Cox Cable) realize the service is bad in this area, but Cox has not felt the need to address the problem. I’m done. There are many other service providers to choose from, amd we will be contacting them tomorrow. We pay a lot of money for their “products”, and we refuse to continue to reward such poor service. 5. 1/5Still not fixed…

   Several times I have spoken to Cox and made them aware that my wifi app is somehow 3 hours ahead of my actual time and they have me take the same steps over and over with no answer. One guy tried to say it was my phone?? Kinda odd considering my phone is in the correct time zone and displaying the correct time! How are we supposed to use the downtime and active time features if your app is telling my wifi that it’s 3 hours later than it actually is? This causes my daughters active time to begin and end at incorrect times, which meant yesterday she used some of today’s time and downtime has to be set with a 3 hour difference. Confused yet? Every time they tell me to do the same things….uninstall and reinstall the app, restart the modem and restart my phone and then when I tell them I’ve already taken these steps before contacting them, they have me do it again as if I’m either lying or being in contact with them is going to somehow change the results, which, in case you couldn’t already tell, has not made a difference whatsoever. These features would be so wonderful if they actually worked correctly. I know I’m not the only person with this issue…if you are going to ask for our feedback as customers it would be really great if you would actually listen and do something about it!!
