Thank you all very much for your patience. At last, we have added what can truly be called one of CountNote’s headline features: unlimited folder hierarchy. This has been one of the most frequently requested features in CountNote. To everyone who has been waiting for this for so long, thank you very much. “Please let us create folders inside folders.” This request may sound simple, but for CountNote, it was a much bigger development challenge than it may appear. Because CountNote is designed so that users can organize content while moving between tabs (Memos and Folders), we needed to review a wide range of areas, including list display, search, moving items, sort order, usability, performance, and even the internal structure so the app can continue to expand safely in the future. In fact, preparation for this feature had been underway little by little for quite some time. The search enhancements we have continued to make over the past three years also served as groundwork so that the app would remain comfortable to use even when folder hierarchies become deeper in the future. And now, we have made it possible to add folders freely with no limit to the number of levels. For example: “Novels” → “By Work” → “By Chapter” “Work” → “By Project” → “Reference Materials” / “In Progress” / “Archive” “Study” → “By Subject” → “By Unit” In this way, you can organize things more naturally to match the way you actually use the app. Even as your memos and folders increase, information is less likely to get mixed together, and you will be able to reach the content you need more quickly. This unlimited folder hierarchy feature marks a major milestone for CountNote. After a long period of preparation, I am truly very happy as the developer to finally deliver it to all of you. Please note that this feature is available only in Premium. We created it as a feature that offers especially strong value for those who write a large number of memos every day or want to manage works and materials in greater depth. Thank you very much to all of you who have supported us for so long. We will continue improving the app so that it becomes even easier to use. We hope you will try the new unlimited folder hierarchy feature.

Improved the folder list display. The root folder now shows only the total character count, while subfolders show both the total character count and the folder name. Also fixed an issue where the display order could become unstable for some data after folder hierarchy support was added.

Improved the folder export and import features. Fixed an issue where some notes inside folders might not appear as export targets when using the folder hierarchy feature. Fixed an issue where the app would not start from the folder tab after restarting, even if the folder tab was selected last.

Improved the internal processing of the memo input screen and folder memo input screen. We reorganized the internal structure and improved the stability of display and input behavior. We also made adjustments to support future feature improvements and quality enhancements.

Fixed an issue where the keyboard could appear unintentionally when scrolling on the memo input screen. Also improved the behavior around expanding and collapsing folders.

Fixed an issue where the cursor position and line spacing settings were not applied correctly on the memo input screen, and improved the scrolling behavior. Also improved the stability of saving the expanded and collapsed states in the folder list.

Fixed an issue where some long memos could become difficult to scroll on the memo input screen. Also reviewed the text display handling and improved the stability of memo display.

Fixed an issue where the memo input screen inside folders could become unable to scroll on some devices. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Added support for moving folders in the folder hierarchy feature. Previously, the folder hierarchy feature supported moving memos, but moving folders themselves was not yet supported. With this update, you can now move existing folders into other folders, or move subfolders back to a higher level. Because folder moving requires parent-child relationships and hierarchical structures to be maintained correctly, we rolled out this support in stages after releasing the unlimited folder feature. You can now organize folders more flexibly, so we hope you enjoy using it. Also fixed an issue where body text might not appear when exporting PDFs while using dark mode.

Fixed an issue where parts of long memos may not be exported correctly when exporting to PDF or printing. We also improved the Premium feature explanation screen. The differences between the free version and the Premium version are now easier to compare, and the available features are easier to understand.

Fixed an issue where half-width and full-width spaces could not be searched using the search feature.

Improved the note move and copy features. When moving only notes to a folder, you can now choose between “Copy” and “Move.” Also, when moving or copying multiple notes to a folder, or moving or copying notes from a folder back to the main notes list, the original list order is now preserved instead of using the order in which the notes were selected.

We’ve added a notification before your free trial ends. To help prevent situations where you start a trial thinking, “I’ll give it a try,” but accidentally forget the end date, users who haven’t used the free trial yet can now receive a notification one day before the trial ends. You can choose whether to turn the notification on or off before starting your free trial. Enjoy trying out all the Premium features with peace of mind.
