   I love being able to use the app, it's much more convenient than having to check the web for messages! No stamps need to be purchased, which is a plus for me, & it notifies you when you have a message. Well, that was until recently, about 2 weeks ago. Now, I've noticed that my iPad will get the notifications but my phone doesn't. So I have to go into the app and refresh it to see if I have a message or a recently added ‘Draft’ message that I want to complete. I also believe if you leave the app with an unfinished message, it should automatically draft the mess. Not that it just deletes it but sometimes it will, I've experienced the app deleting 5 paragraph messages. If I was a cartoon I'd be red hot with smoke coming from my ears! Other than those issues, the app is good for me.

2. 1/5Ouch-Shame on Corrlinks!

   I had a Corrlink acct a few years ago. I went onto the website to see if I needed to reactivate it. I found I received a email I read and responded. I only received half the website and app. I kept looking for the recharge my acct button. It wasn’t there. In fact out of the 7 menu options I have 4. My account has no way of loading money to send, no photo option, no recharge option. So I downloaded the app thinking maybe I’d have those options there. Nope a box popped up saying I had to have the premium acct because I have a iPhone. That was fine. So it directed me back to the website. The website processed the upgrade to premium and took the money. Guess what, I still can not put money on it my account my for emails to him or for the inmate to emails me, etc. oh can’t forget to mention there is no place to change your last name. In saying that ladies do not get married or divorced and change your name it’s impossible to change it in the website. I kept trying to contact the company but they do not list their phone number, I did send a couple of emails. I still haven’t heard back from them. I understand the federal government is contracted with them but dang if corrlinks doesn’t act like a very shady company. P.S. I did look at their reviews and there is site after site with complaints. It’s sad since this is the only way to stay in contact friends and loved ones.

3. 1/5Horrible and scary!

   If I could give this app a-10 star I would! My grandson was so happy to have finally gotten a tablet with the ability to write to his mother and family in his new tablet and I was so excited for it too! He said grandma can you tell everyone how to download and open the app and get it set up for me to talk to you all please! I got on my App Store and started the process and as soon as I got it started it pulled me to a different site that was attached to the app and asked me for my card information and said that I wouldn’t have any charges but it needed my card on file so I was a little confused about that because I was thinking why would I have to pay for anything unless I actually wanted to put money on our account for the texts messages?? But I added the card information anyway and as soon I got the numbers in I instantly received a notification from my bank that I had been compromised and it was shut down.. so as I was determined that I was going to be able to access my grandson’s text messages I backed out of the app and deleted my attempt and tried again making sure that I didn’t get the same link come up again. But again as I downloaded the app the next morning I received a message that I was hacked again and they had attached to my credit card and tried to withdraw $1.twice and again failed due to my banks security system. And then when I got into my apple account I realized that that link was actually attached to my account there! WTH?? Wow this is such a shame because it was supposed to be a happy ending and it turned into a really sad nightmare! I was glad that I didn’t ask his family and friends to try before I realized that it was a scam! I’m so very disappointed that I didn’t get to spend time texting my grandson who is 3 states away from me with no chance to get to visit with him! This world has gotten to be such a scary place to because of all of the thieves!

4. 2/5You can’t see what message you are replying to. Takes too long to get the messages.

   The only problem I have with the app is when someone replies to my message I’m not sure what message they are replying to . It diss have the Re: with the subject there but if you are messaging back and forth on the same message then it gets confusing. Because they are not instant. It sometimes takes hours for the inmate to receive the message and vice versa. It has caused a lot of grief on my end . I’ll reply to something thinking they already got my message and they haven’t and I don’t know until I get another message later . It should show the last message that they are replying to in detail . Please fix this! Please!please! Please! I will give 5 stars if you fix this. Thanks , C

5. 2/5Frustrating

   We really need this app to communicate, but sometimes the service is extremely frustrating for something you have to pay a subscription for. Frequent communication errors, doesn’t save drafts and errors out. Sometimes it notifies you there’s and email, sometimes it doesn’t. If there is an error and it won’t send the email, you can’t save the draft to try again later. When you want to connect to support to get help, the webpage doesn’t load. There was a small window couple hour window earlier today I could send and receive emails the rest of the day there has been communication errors. People really need this app, that’s why we pay for it.
