4/5Love the thermometer, app can be better.
First of all, I love the thermometer. It’s my favorite cooking purchase in quite some time. The app is still in need of work. Something that would help is a timer that could be set to go off when the prediction hit a certain time remaining to help stage the prep/cooking. Another is to prompt me when new firmware is available. These are nit picks and opportunities to improve. Great job on the device!

4/5Please give us live notification!
This is a great app and it works perfectly with the thermometer. Since conking is a dynamic process, I feel a live notification would be perfect for this app! You can see what’s going on with your food live on your lock screen where you can just glance at it instead of having to open the app every time. Hope the good folks at Combustion Inc. give my suggestion some consideration.

5/5C Harbin
I am a meat cooking nerd. I love the 8 temperature point reading and graphing feature of the Combustion Inc. thermometer. It takes keeping an eye on your grill to the next level! Knowing the ambient grill temp as well as the other temperature points throughout the item you are cooking is amazing! I have bought a couple more thermometers as gifts for my close friends and family that really appreciate precision cooking and the results!

3/5History please
Edit: it’s been over a year now without having any cook history feature. Please let us save a cool or just export the data. That’s the only thing that I miss from a competitors product. I like everything in the app. Information is clearly laid out, graphs are great. But a cool history is sorely missing. I keep wanting to go back and check how long certain smokes took, when the stall happened with briskets, etc. adding notes to the cook would also be very helpful.

2/5Two thermometers,…. Can be bad.
So I set up one thermometer for the turkey, another for the roast. I know I got the temperatures in thermometers correct, because I didn’t put the roast one in till 15 minutes later. I set up the turkey first and put it in for the 150 and left it. I was gonna have great turkey this year! Both thermometers disconnected. Despite the controller being 1 foot away. Then, when I reconnected, they switched. So my barbecue, which I wanted to pull at 165 to wrap was happy at 150. My turkey which I wanted to nowhere close to that was 170 in parts. So much for true core, and working well. For the price, I did not expect disconnect from the temperature probe to the broadcaster when they are 2 feet away from each other. Swapping temps is clearly a bug!!!!

1.11.2
Live Activities! See live cooking data for one of your probes on the Lock Screen, on your Apple Watch, and in the Dynamic Island at the top of your screen when you’re in another app. Very cool! Improved graphing controls + improvements for long or multistage cooking. Whew. Target temp (cooking to) and predicted (ready-in) time are now visible on the graph - handy that! You can now review and study interesting temperature events by “scrubbing” the timeline of an ongoing cook. Improved controls for turning temperature channels on and off - see the temps you care about and hide the rest!
