1. 5/5Very interesting work, but the pay is laughable

   Sadly, I quickly realized that I was not going to make much money as a click worker. I used to spend hours and more hours qualifying for different jobs and taking notes on how to do the task correctly just to have my work rejected or not paid for whatever the reason was that day. It’s really hard to improve when you have no idea or any explanation as to where you went wrong!! I would feel really good about my work and then it would be rejected and jobs I felt were subpar I would get credit for. I would plan to work a few hours and when I would sign in to work my account would show suspended or account disabled or account expired or some unexplained issue. Some days they could fix it the issue right away but, many times I would lose out for the window to work while waiting for the help team to reset my account so I could log in. I don’t think it’s a scam, but I do think they are getting work from us for very very low pay and never explain why work is rejected. Frustrating but interesting 🤔

2. 2/5Not worth the trouble

   I had high hopes for this company. Unfortunately, I hardly ever seemed to fit any of the demographics they were looking for when doing surveys. The few surveys I did do, a couple of them had an error and I wasn’t paid for them. It also can take up 4-6 weeks to get for some of the bigger jobs. Don’t unsubscribe from emails; they'll deactivate your account! I wanted to temporarily unsubscribe from emails until I was ready to sign up for their bonus (you have to use an email they give you because you can’t use your own), but instead it deactivated my account. There was nothing in writing that said that would happen. I’m out around $11 for the work that I did do. It’s too much of a hassle to try to get my account back because I’ll have to send various pieces of personal info to prove I am who I say I am. I did it once, I’m not doing it again. I also read about people having their accounts suspended or banned through no fault of their own because they system thinks they’re fake accounts. If you’re ok with allowing the companies to access personal info from your phone or computer… or you’re ok with being frustrated by the lack of work/ or your work not being deemed good enough and therefore not get paid for your time, then sign up. To me, the inconsistent work, not being able to do the majority of the surveys, and the potential of getting an account banned or suspended is not worth it.

3. 3/5MANY better microgig apps to choose from

   I’ve been using Clickworker (and many other similar apps/websites) consistently for approximately a year and a half. This one, by far, rejects the most tasks (typically, the higher paying photo jobs requiring travel). After completing roughly thirty total tasks over said period of time, ten have been rejected (prior to counting, I would’ve assumed it was more)! The first few I can see being user error or something, but I smell a pattern here in which I don’t typically see with any of the other equivalent apps I use. Another reviewer mentioned not receiving any notes or reasons for her rejections; in the rejections I’ve received there are sometimes reasons and opportunities to correct and other times there are not. Most of the time the notes are vague and would require repeating the entire task, which would end up likely costing *me* money to complete in time and travel in order to repeat and resend for a second time. Other times the rejections will simply and clearly request a certain photo to be resent due to blurriness or issue with uploading, etc. The bottom line for me here is while there are occasionally some great paying jobs listed, I often have to remind myself attempting to complete them will only result in rejection. (Nowadays, I only accept and then complete a task if I am 100% going to be traveling to that exact location and have some time to burn, which obviously doesn’t happen practically ever!) I am unsure of whether the rejection rate is Clickworker’s doing or their clients’, but as previously mentioned, in the last year and a half I’ve personally used about eight other apps/websites with either similar or identical work and very *rarely* receive a rejection!

   I have to agree with most of the negative feedback that I’ve read in these reviews. This app takes all of your free time for an unreasonable amount of time to pay you cents, not even dollars, that are incredibly hard to actually receive into a usable account. I’ve spent months trying to do any “job” that I was able to do, and most of them would be impossible to do if I had a job right now. In addition to the jobs being difficult to get or go through with, any one that you can’t complete, out of no fault of your own, seems to reflect negatively on your reputation as a worker. Usually, you can’t give feedback on the jobs that are awful, but you can always give feedback on the super simple jobs that the app itself came up with and will only pay you a cent for completing. I agree with everyone about no one being a part of the small percentage of people they’re looking for in those surveys, so you waste 30 minutes answering questions for not so much as a consolation prize at having tried and been kicked out when they estimate it as only taking 5 minutes. Additionally, I’ve tried the mobile games jobs, which disappear from your active jobs and become difficult to find, or just stop sharing information with your account and the progress you’ve actually made on the game, meaning you wasted time for doing something it thinks you haven’t done yet. And you can’t exactly delete your progress on the game itself to try to sync them up again. HUGE WASTE OF MY TIME. Especially since, even if you managed to get any money from them, the minimum amount in order to receive payment is heinously high compared to how much you’re actually capable of making. Two months of wasting all of my time on this to get like $2. NOT WORTH IT. I’m deleting my account. It’s only getting two stars because it seems like some rare people are actually having success with this app.

5. 2/5Waste of time

   What they pay for work is only appealing to those from third world countries. This is one of many apps that take advantage of people’s ignorance and/or situation to pay them literally pennies for what will transform into billions of dollars. AI needs a vast amount if data to train with and a portion of that is needed for texting. Paying someone 10-30 cents for something that will make prodigiously more is a crime. Furthermore the surveys aren’t worth anyones time but that isn’t unique to clickworker. My last complaint is that jobs like “mystery shopper” bug out and try to force you to pick the highest paying job instead of the kne you want. A 10 pay out is also too high for something that pays only a few cents per task. The high paying tasks are difficult to qualify for so the pay out only benefits the lucky few that qualify. This app is as predatory as a gacha game
