  1. 5/5Amazing app and support

I needed a program that wrote timecodes to iPhone footage during recording, so I could combine them with other cameras that support time-coding. The app does this perfectly. I was also trying to use this with a gimbal, and I have the gimbal record button activate the app, but was having difficulty getting it to work so I reached out to the developer and received a reply moments later with a suggestion to try. I try the suggestion, and it worked great. I’m currently in trial mode, but will be purchasing the app as soon as the trial ends, I couldn’t find a way to buy it while in the trial. It’s a great feeling to know that the app is supported so well and has so many powerful features.

  2. 5/5The only REAL replacement for Filmic Pro

Since Filmic decided a long time ago that they didn’t care about their customers (and we ALL tried to warn them about their terrible business decision), I went looking for an alternative. I don’t even remember how I ended up finding this one, buy I’m so glad I did. This should be so much higher on the charts, but I just don’t think enough have discovered it yet! This app is fantastic and fully featured everything I used with Filmic. Not only did I end up paying for the pro upgrade, but I have also purchased the optional LUTS tools as well. Very happy to support this app creator considering they didn’t pull a bait and switch like Filmic.

  3. 5/5OMG!!!!

I’ve been using this app for some time in 2024, and kinda went back to using other apps I liked & kinda left this one I unupdated & sitting on the apps shelf of two of my devices.. I recently came back and updated it to see all the new improvements and I must say Wow!!! I love the new interface!! Everything functions much smoother!! I was blown away! I will now start using this more frequently. Thomas has been putting in some real work behind the scenes!! Forgive me if I ever doubted you! Cinema P3 is King!!! My only con was I found where I could import presets but not Luts. It’s all good. I can still fix this in post which is the best way to do it anyways. Thank you for such an amazing app!!

  4. 5/5Superior Video Capture App

CinemaP3 has been the most consistently reliable, functional, and feature rich video capture app for me. I have used many video apps starting with Filmic Pro and lastly Blackmagic Camera (BMC). I liked the BMC app’s interface/layout and many supporting online tutorials; however, it kept letting me down with poor exposures. Mostly due to inconsistent zebra and scope output and exposure shift after shutter release. As a left handed person, the only improvement I would like to see is the ability to rotate the iPhone 180 degrees and maintain the same layout. This is a superior product, and I think others should know and not get too caught up in the popularity of some lesser apps.

  5. 5/5Outstanding!

I have tried many other apps including FilmicPro. I find this one better for options and simplicity. I would like to make it my go to app, but in order to do that it really needs to have presets that the user can store in order to easily switch between user desired settings. It is too time consuming to manually switch to various desired settings while actually shooting. PLEASE consider this for one of your next updates as you do have a great app for video. More people need to try it. Presets will raise my rating to 5 stars. Added presets! 5 star! Hope more people check this app out.
