1. 2/5Lots of issues with this channel

   After 10 white Sox games, we have opted out of this channel. There are no fast forward or rewind options and also there are no saved games that we can go back to and view at our convenience. For at least half of these games, we keep getting an interrupting popup which says we have no internet connection. Our internet is working fine on the tv. We have reinstalled the app several times (which was the company’s suggestion) with no change in this pop up. With the team’s poor record, its plans to move to Nashville, and this channel’s problems, after 60 years of being fans of the White Sox, we are switching to the Twins. At least they have a decent channel. BTS we live in Iowa.

2. 1/5Awful Video Quality

   I use the CHSN app on a Vizio TV to watch Sox games and it’s probably the worst app I have ever used. It buffers and freezes every 5-10 seconds, turns the closed captioning on and off as it chooses, and will interrupt mid gameplay to run an add consistently. Internet strength has nothing to do with it because all other apps work on my tv but this one is awful. Jerry Reinsdorf should be ashamed. Putting games behind a pay wall is one thing, but then allowing your fans to burn their money on an app that doesn’t work is another. 41 wins in 2024, followed up with an app that doesn’t work the following year. Can’t wait for Ishbia to take care of the fan base. What an embarrassment. I missed half of Mark Buehrle’s speech during is statue unveiling because the same Progressive commercial cut it off 3 times just playing whenever it wanted to. I envy the teams that do things the right way. We simply do not. Thanks Jerry.

3. 3/5Decent Apple but annoying issues

   This app is solid and I’m able to watch the Blackhawks consistently. Biggest issue I have is the volume levels are WILD. The gameplay volumes are so soft I have to jack up the volume to hear what’s going on…then when there’s a commercial the commercials are BLARING loud and it’s so annoying. When you try to skip back it spazzes out and buffers only to load a commercial. Then trying to go back to “live” it doesn’t work so the button is useless at this point. Also at random times the app decides to skip back to something earlier in the game and the only way to fix it is to exit the app and launch it again. If these issues are fixed this would be a 5-star app!

4. 1/5The platonic ideal of a horrible sports streaming app

   You could imagine a world where you didn’t pay $30 a month for watching three of the worst franchises in sports. But that is not our world. What I do wish, however, is that the people who are making me pay for this privilege would spend more than 5 minutes having a fifth grader design the app. The interface is hideous. Everything takes multiple unnecessary steps. You are logged off the app at random. Games appear and disappear and freeze literally all the time. I am on a gig connection and no other streamer has these issues. And then there is just the fact that the interface is hideous. Truly hideous. Like an old AOL screen from the 1980s. Do better. Oh, and could you maybe include some basic stats along with the games, like literally every other regional sports streamer I’ve seen? This is an embarrassment.

5. 1/5Still Terrible

   Even over a year after one of the most embarrassing rollouts in history. Almost no improvements have been made. There can be no other explanation at this point other than this network hates their fan base and wants to make them suffer. Having to pay ridiculous to watch our terrible teams isn’t enough. We have to watch them on an app that crashes, logs you out constantly, and plays ads during live game play. Is the subscription not enough for you all? Must we be subjected to this indignity as well. The interface itself is also just terribly designed. It’s honestly hard to believe they are still continuing with this disaster or that no one has stepped in to fix this. Why must I be a Sox fan?
