1. 5/5Simply the best!

   I used the free version of this app for many months before actually doing a subscription. The free version was incredible. I then made the purchase of the full version and let me say, I have been blown away. I am in my 60’s and have played guitar since I was 12. Never had a lesson in my life, I played by ear. This application has inspired me to practice daily. I play for at least an hour every day and have done so for over a year now. I have learned so so many new chords and progressions using the full version. I recommend just get the full version, for what you get it’s like robbing a bank an incredible value. One suggestion I have to the developers is to create more instructional videos on how to use all the features. I know that I have only scratched the surface of the available tools within the app, and even though it is very intuitive and user friendly, videos with in-depth “how to” information would be fantastic. If you play guitar, this is by far and away the most fun, inspiring and creative way to up your game. This is how technology should be used, making the language of music just a click away. I have had only one technical issue while using the Application and the support I received was nothing short of unbelievable. I exchanged messages with the support representative and we found my issue and it was resolved. It was dealt with very hands on. I appreciate that level of customer service.

2. 5/5Inconsistent beat markers in 3/4 time

   Update: it looks like it’s handling 3/4 correctly now! Thanks. Star rating has been increased. Original: Songs often switch between 1 beat per box to 2 beats per box and back again. As near as I can tell, this happens mainly with blues shuffles and/or 3/4 time. Examples: Everyone Loves an Outlaw’s I Saw Red and Rihanna’s Love on the Brain constantly switch between 3 beats over 3 boxes and 6 beats over 3 boxes. —— Keith Urban’s Blue Aint Your Color starts out as 6 beats over 3 boxes, switches to 3 beats over 3 boxes on line 3, then back to 6 beats per 3 boxes on line 5. —- Chris Stapelton’s Tennessee Whiskey and Ally Venable’s Broken and Blue consistently show 3 beats per 3 boxes until near the end. In Broken and Blue, a few of the last measures show 9 beats over 3 boxes. —- Please come home for Christmas by the Eagles switches up beat boxes and pacing a lot. And Darling Lorraine by The Knockouts seems way off. —- The inconsistent display switching back and forth within a single song, sometimes just for a single measure, is very distracting. ———————- Another bug: sometimes the little wiper that slides across the beats disappears for one or more measures. Personally, I prefer the view without the wiper and would like an option to permanently turn it off. But either way, coming and going during a song is distracting.

3. 5/5This app is music to my ears!!!

   Don’t think I’ve ever reviewed an app after using for five minutes I had to stop to sing it’s praises✌️🎶 i’m not a music girl. I’m not gonna get into all the details. All I know is I opened it and within three neurodivergent seconds I’d accomplished what I wanted to which was I had written a song and because I’m not really a musician was fumbling around to try to figure out what the chords were on the guitar, but I hum it and sang it into the easy to find record button. It didn’t make me sign up. It didn’t make me pay anything within four seconds I had every option that was easy to navigate is been so much fun. I can’t even imagine what else it does. I hit the back button and it let me change to piano none of those upgrade or subscribe for pro features. None of that yet I am so thrilled beyond can’t wait to see what else I can do. This is proof of the beauty of a tool when it works perfectly. I’m not sure if anyone else feels that way, but I just feel like they were in my brain and everything made such sense. thank you

4. 5/5Excellent at Chords detection and transcription.

   Now that some major bugs got fixed, I can give it FIVE STARS! The best features of this app are indeed the chord detection and transcription. It is accurate and VERY FAST! What's most impressive about this company is the customer service and responsiveness and caring attitude! Vivien squashed a couple of major bugs in less than a week! I can now give thus a Five Star rating, But, the AI human-language audio interpretation quality is still not perfect, but no doubt will improve as AI technology improves in this area. The sound quality of this app is excellent. Would not hesitate to take this on a gig. Thanks Vivien!!!! (Read desctiptions of BOTH Chord AI and the little sister app called MusicMemos. One is Subscriotion Only with more features, the other has a couple less features, BUT offers a ONE-time purchase option. (I bought that option). But download both as you can still use Chord AI free, the only limitation is you can only download (40) songs. With a subscription, songs are unlimited.

5. 5/5Phenomenal App!

   I have waiting my entire life for an app like this. I am 66 years old. I have played the piano/keyboards since I was 4 years old. I have learned more from this app about how music is structured in a very short time compared to how long I have played. I recently retired and I'm having the time of my life playing along with music I love. This app is wonderfully accurate in transcribing any piece of music into its underlying chord structure. It doesn't matter how complex the music or underlying chords. This app came along at the perfect time to bring my playing to the next level. I love this app! I would highly recommend it to any musician who can play by ear and knows most chords. Even if you don't know all the complex chords that can be played, you will quickly pick up how to play these chords with this app. Don't walk - run to the App Store and download this app. It is worth every penny.
