1/5Horrible App - It’s a waste of your time
This app is horrible, even for the chance of getting free stuff. I have been using this app for many years (about 10, I think). I used to love it. However, in the last 2-3 years it has dramatically gone down hill. Nothing ever works. If you can get the app open, you can’t scan the very few items that are available to scan because the app crashes. Check Ins work, but are very few available. As a side note, I live in San Antonio, big enough city that there should be lots of things on the app to scan or places to check in. The biggest issue with this app is trying to get your reward. You will have to email customer support to request your reward over and over and over. If you’re lucky, you’ll get the reward, even if it’s a month later. I am still missing 2 gift card rewards but I just can’t continue saying the same thing over and over to customer support. I don’t have time in my life to continuously fight with the app or customer support to get a $1 or $5 reward. Honestly, I think the company is about to close down because there is no way an app can be this poorly designed and survive.

Y’all have been slacking, this app needs a lot of improvement. More so on the gift cards aspect! I redeemed for a gift card had a problem the first because I got the email for the gift card but it just shows that there was an error and wouldn’t allow you to click on the link for the gift card. Got a message that they were refunding my points and that they would have it fixed. Well it looked like it was fixed because when you redeem this time it showed that it would be looked into and would take about 2 weeks to get the gift card or feedback. Well it’s almost been a month since I redeem my points for a gift card and I haven’t even gotten anything. The only thing that I have received was an email saying reward has been requested. I then sent an email on the 5th to check on what was going with the reward. Then I got an email that says we got your support ticket, then the next email was saying we got your request and will respond when we can and haven’t gotten anything since! I was going to cash in the last of my points for a $10 card but that looks like it’s not happening. Please fix this

1/5Gotten worse over time
Been using this app for a while, knew it didn’t pay out a lot but made some money and actually got paid, so that was good. However they changed their survey rewards with no notice-you used to get 5 points per attempted survey up to 10 per day, now you get nothing unless you complete a survey. They’ve also always had problems with giving credit for videos. It tells you how many videos you have to watch for points but the amount doesn’t change after watching several. Someone in customer service said you actually get credit for watching the ads in between videos so I said you need to clarify that because it’s misleading/lying to say it’s videos when it’s ads. Sometimes there are no ads to get credit for watching but it doesn’t tell you that. They have never fixed it after several emails they just say oh here’s some points. So now it’s mostly a waste of time.

2/5Glitchy & Forever To Cash Out
The number one issue with this app is it is consistently glitchy/buggy. For example, there is an option to link debit cards to in exchange for higher point values per receipt (i.e. 40 points for a debit-linked Target receipt vs. 5 points for a non-linked Target receipt). The issue is usually this feature doesn’t work. I’ll try for almost two full weeks and continuously receive a message stating the transaction can’t be located on the account (despite re-linking the account over and over again). The second biggest issue is support/help. Other apps almost always at least respond to you eventually. I’ve reached out several times to CheckPoint and have never received a response one time. The third issue is it does take a long time to acquire enough points to cash out even $5 (like maybe once a year with approximately 30-40 regularly uploading receipts on average weekly). Not a complete waste of time, but close to it!

1/5Where is my $5 PayPal reward?!
Never received reward. I’ve been using this app for 2 years. Initially, it was 20 points per receipt. With 25 points for having receipts from a select store. Then a couple months in, the points per receipt dropped to 5pt! Making it crazy difficult to gain points to redeem for a $5 gift card. I was able to reach my goal after months of receipt collecting. I requested for a PayPal gift card and received an email that my account was under review before getting the card(stated it would take up to 2 weeks. It has been over 6 months and nothing! Smh. Don’t download this app. Not worth it at all. Also the people who allegedly won big gift cards and prizes with their scratcher (which you can get from redeeming points) have been displayed on their home page for over 2 years. One of them being ‘Patty H.’ Who supposed win 150k points. Any other new winners yet?!

          "body": "This app is horrible, even for the chance of getting free stuff. I have been using this app for many years (about 10, I think). I used to love it. However, in the last 2-3 years it has dramatically gone down hill. Nothing ever works. If you can get the app open, you can’t scan the very few items that are available to scan because the app crashes. Check Ins work, but are very few available. As a side note, I live in San Antonio, big enough city that there should be lots of things on the app to scan or places to check in. The biggest issue with this app is trying to get your reward. You will have to email customer support to request your reward over and over and over. If you’re lucky, you’ll get the reward, even if it’s a month later. I am still missing 2 gift card rewards but I just can’t continue saying the same thing over and over to customer support. I don’t have time in my life to continuously fight with the app or customer support to get a $1 or $5 reward. Honestly, I think the company is about to close down because there is no way an app can be this poorly designed and survive.",

          "body": "Y’all have been slacking, this app needs a lot of improvement. More so on the gift cards aspect! I redeemed for a gift card had a problem the first because I got the email for the gift card but it just shows that there was an error and wouldn’t allow you to click on the link for the gift card. Got a message that they were refunding my points and that they would have it fixed. Well it looked like it was fixed because when you redeem this time it showed that it would be looked into and would take about 2 weeks to get the gift card or feedback. Well it’s almost been a month since I redeem my points for a gift card and I haven’t even gotten anything. The only thing that I have received was an email saying reward has been requested. I then sent an email on the 5th to check on what was going with the reward. Then I got an email that says we got your support ticket, then the next email was saying we got your request and will respond when we can and haven’t gotten anything since! I was going to cash in the last of my points for a $10 card but that looks like it’s not happening. Please fix this",

          "body": "Been using this app for a while, knew it didn’t pay out a lot but made some money and actually got paid, so that was good. However they changed their survey rewards with no notice-you used to get 5 points per attempted survey up to 10 per day, now you get nothing unless you complete a survey. They’ve also always had problems with giving credit for videos. It tells you how many videos you have to watch for points but the amount doesn’t change after watching several. Someone in customer service said you actually get credit for watching the ads in between videos so I said you need to clarify that because it’s misleading/lying to say it’s videos when it’s ads. Sometimes there are no ads to get credit for watching but it doesn’t tell you that. They have never fixed it after several emails they just say oh here’s some points. So now it’s mostly a waste of time.",

          "body": "The number one issue with this app is it is consistently glitchy/buggy. For example, there is an option to link debit cards to in exchange for higher point values per receipt (i.e. 40 points for a debit-linked Target receipt vs. 5 points for a non-linked Target receipt). The issue is usually this feature doesn’t work. I’ll try for almost two full weeks and continuously receive a message stating the transaction can’t be located on the account (despite re-linking the account over and over again). The second biggest issue is support/help. Other apps almost always at least respond to you eventually. I’ve reached out several times to CheckPoint and have never received a response one time. The third issue is it does take a long time to acquire enough points to cash out even $5 (like maybe once a year with approximately 30-40 regularly uploading receipts on average weekly). Not a complete waste of time, but close to it!",

          "body": "Never received reward. I’ve been using this app for 2 years. Initially, it was 20 points per receipt. With 25 points for having receipts from a select store. Then a couple months in, the points per receipt dropped to 5pt! Making it crazy difficult to gain points to redeem for a $5 gift card. I was able to reach my goal after months of receipt collecting. I requested for a PayPal gift card and received an email that my account was under review before getting the card(stated it would take up to 2 weeks. It has been over 6 months and nothing! Smh. Don’t download this app. Not worth it at all. Also the people who allegedly won big gift cards and prizes with their scratcher (which you can get from redeeming points) have been displayed on their home page for over 2 years. One of them being ‘Patty H.’ Who supposed win 150k points. Any other new winners yet?!",
