1. 4/5Bad behaviors of a lot of Captains

   I am a regular customer of Careem, yet lately I have experienced aggressive and rude behaviors of the drivers. Some drivers refused to listen to the customers and just follow what they wish to do, which makes me feel so unsafe during the trip. I have reported these kinds of incidents, but still I have encountered bad behaviors of the drivers from my other trips. I don’t think Careem is doing actions for these kinds of reports regarding their captains’ bad behaviors. One incident is a driver, named Belhassen A., dropped me in the middle of the road near a roundabout, and aggressively wants to push me out from the car, showing his anger issues. I was worried for my safety. Would that captain and Careem take the responsibility if anything happens to me when i am left in the middle of the road with a lot of cars passing by? Are the passengers not allowed to ask requests to the captains during the trip? If this kind of behaviors of a captain happened to me, pretty sure it could be done to other passengers as well. I don’t think Careem is doing much training professionally for their Captain’s behavior, because it didn’t only happened once but a couple of times. Other drivers are not strictly compliant with the Covid protocols as well, and some drivers gets mad if you will remind them to wear a mask.

2. 1/5Subscribers Be Aware

   The app is terrific as long as you are able to use it. Once you leave any of the countries where the app is available, that’s when you run into trouble. I subscribed to Careem Plus because I was on an extended stay in one of the countries listed where the app is available and it made the most sense to do that for the perks involved. However, I was unaware that I would not be able to access the app at all to at least have access to my profile once I left to return to a country not listed as available to use. In fact, I wasn’t aware that the app was limited by location when I initially installed it. I only learned of the app’s existence while on my extended stay and just assumed that it was just another app that had been around but I was the last to know about. Fast forward to now, I have since left my extended stay destination and to my surprise when I attempted to access the app, I am not able to because it is not available for use where I am currently. I have reached out to customer service for assistance and the assistance I received was to open the app, go to my profile, and unsubscribe. This was after I repeatedly explained the situation and presented a screenshot to demonstrate that I cannot access the app. Also, once you are outside of the countries listed, you cannot use the report a problem feature. I found that out after attempting to do so. Customer service is still working my issue so will provide an update if I’m successful or not to have my subscription cancelled.

3. 2/5What in God’s name is Careem really doing in Casablanca?!

   I’ve been taking Careem for over 6 years in Casablanca, Morocco. Recently, Careem started to accept nearly any driver from the region without pre-screenings for personnel and vehicles set in place. It has created volatility within my business operations and jeopardized the safety and sanctity of the service they offered. It is getting to the point where there is almost no difference between Careem and a low-grade red taxi in Casablanca. Newer, less literate and linguistically incompetent drivers (referring to fluent English, French and Arabic) have been allow to register on the application. It’s a human disaster and the tariffs are TOO HIGH for such non-sense. I didn’t mind paying the highest price in Morocco’s taxi market before the floodgates of driver-mediocrity opened. Now, it’s like playing Russian roulette with higher customer risk and prices. Equally, many female patrons both local and expat have expressed newly-founded concerns over their safety. Drivers with a poor value system, corrupt practices and careless attitude have been thrusted upon decent paying people that are exhausted with the shenanigans. We DON’T have energy nor exist to file weekly complaints about your poor careless choice of recruits!!! It wasn’t like this before. Shape up or ship out - I will round up the regions best clients and we will arrange our own new methods of getting around with drivers that deserve the money.

4. 1/5Careem in Dubai is a disaster. Dont even bother

   I downloaded the app and was super excited for services available until I start using app. First incident I ordered from pharmacy 15 items, pharmacy charged me for 15 then gave the driver only 5 and said that is all we got. They never refunded me. Second time I driver come close to mall where I was waiting. For 25 minuets I search for him (in front of main gate and he hiding waiting for me to cancel). Third time I ordered biscuit from grocery. I paid for expensive one, the store decided to send me cheaper brand instead. I contacted careem 2x times and nothing resolved. I will dispute these fake transactions with my credit card so they take me more seriously. I used careem for 5 transactions. 3 out of 5 were disaster. Don’t use the app unless you like to be ripped off. —————- Update careem support addressed few of my issues with refunding credit but my main complaint for 15 items were I was charged more than couple of hundreds was ignored. I submit new request and they said new request was made after 90 minuets from order so they can’t help me. Seriously a joke. I am deleting the app and contacting my credit card company. Charge me for 15 items and send me 5 is called ripoff. I have proof from driver (screen shots) that the store didn’t have the quantity. There is NO excuse for this. As of the developer, I submitted my request through the link and this is the help I got

5. 1/5Untrained driver and no response from customer service for complaints

   I used this service long time ago. I submitted a request last week and 2 trips canceled because of no reason and I got that later because it is short trip and it will not befitting the drive. They will prefer to get long ride for more mileages. Finally I got one who can get me to my drop off point and it was 65 SR. It was really super expensive but I accept it. Because I need it. Then I request another car to get back home, The drive dose not know how to get to the exit from sayhait to qutif which was shocking to me. I said I will guid you. He was taking calls serval time, was not paying attention to the road or even to my direction. Make the 15 mints way to long. He was not Aware of the road drive so fast I felt I will die. You have another things to do. If you are busy do not take any ride. Then the price was sooooo expensive. Charged me 85 SR. I understand the gas goes higher and if you think if he put gas to his car with that price, he will take more business, not only one trip, I filled his car for half day maybe with the money he charged me. I know With the pandemic of COVID-19, business slowdown and more women get their own cars, but you need to consider not everyone have same situation. This one supposed be the cheapest and available price for everyone. I also post the complaint and no one responded to my account. I gave some time to the customer service to review my request and get back to me but unfortunately not heard back from you. I decided not to use your service anymore.

   Some drivers ask you strange questions as if they expect you to choose specific destinations they don't want to go to. Sometimes they even wait for you to cancel the trip so they can deduct money from your fare.
