   Had to have my bank dispute charges for a campground that tried to charge my account without my permission.. wanted to switch spots because of an error. I booked my site for three nights instead of four. When I tried to extend it by booking additional day, it wouldn’t allow me to so I figured it was unavailable. I then booked a site that was available for four nights, and it turns out it was cheaper! when I contacted the campground to tell them to cancel site number 26, she acted like she was in two big a hurry to speak to me, telling me that she would call me back when she was ready to cancel site. She never called me back and instead changed the booking to extend the more expensive site and added $100 lock in fee that was never discussed nor did I place it on either of the Reservations i made prior. This is fraud. I spoke with my bank to dispute all charges. We should not have to pay for a cancellation fee when the campground we are dealing with is fraudulent.

2. 4/5Print Option PLEASE

   Why is a print option so difficult? As we travel we are not always in a place to get online and look up info in the app about a reservation. I always print my reservation and campsite information just in case. PLEASE add this. At a minimum include the details in the email and not just a link back to the app so it could be printed from there. This app is terrible for sending a person around in circles when trying to get help or make a suggestion. I cannot say how many roundy rounds I have been doing here just to get help on how to print or make a suggestion to add printing. Good grief! Other than this snafu it works fine.

3. 1/5Full Payment without Deposit

   I do not like the Campspot policy of full payment at the time of a reservation. Having to make a full payment can wreck my budget. I like to be able to pay deposits and make a full travel itinerary for the traveling year. I do this by paying deposits on as many campgrounds as I can afford. With making full payments I sometimes must wait until I can afford to make a new reservation and finding vacant sites is too late. Some popular campgrounds book-up several months in advance. I wish all campgrounds would give a deposit option. I know some campgrounds allow me to phone for a reservation and to pay a deposit, but using Campspot online will not allow it. So I have stopped using Campspot online service.

4. 5/5Clean look and easy to use

   I am impressed how easy this app is to use. It provides a way to look for a place to camp near where you want to visit. Much easier than having to search through lots of individual campgrounds. This is especially helpful these days when there are not many places available. Once you locate an appropriate campground, you can select the desired type of camping and see on a map where the specific site is located. The photos also help. I found it especially useful as I plan my vacation for next year. I could see many more places to consider.

5. 1/5They take no responsibility for false content

   This is yet another tech company refusing to do anything about, or take responsibility for false content on their platform. We booked a premium tent site on a lake, and paid extra for it, and they even gave us the option to pay an extra $50 to ensure they held the exact site we picked, thankfully we didn’t fall for that scam. When we showed up the campground manager told us we didn’t want the site anyway, and showed us why. It didn’t even exist, unless we wanted 5 square feet in between 2 RVs. He then went into a long story about how he’s asked the owners to take down the listings for tent camping, since they don’t actually have any, but they’ve refused. Then he offered us a grass field no where near the lake. We reluctantly agreed, and started to put our tent up and realized it was where all the RV campers took their dogs to crap. Needless to say, we packed the car back up and found a cancellation at a local lodge and left that place behind. I reached out to Campspot and they said they aren’t responsible for anything hosted on their app, but they would reach out to the owners. Over a week later and that campground still has non-existent tent sites listed to reserve.

   terrible! you type in an area you want to camp and it gives you everything but that area. it was suggesting sites that were over 50-100 miles away from where I specified and the closest suggestion was 19miles away. not helpful when I know the area i want to camp at has other spots that are closer.
