   I’ve been so exhausted by the forever chats on other dating apps so this seemed like a nice change. My one issue is that you’re able to plan dates 2-3 weeks out, yet reschedule the day of without penalty. I think it would be better to limit the scheduling to one week and also rescheduling should only be done 48hrs in advance of the planned date. Of course, things happen but I’ve had changes happen the day of twice now and we agreed on these dates 2 weeks ago.

2. 2/5Disappointing quality of profiles and reliability of confirmed dates

   I’m already bored with this app. They say they filter to show you profiles you might like but that’s a joke. Every day I see ~10 profiles where only one or two have even bothered to answer any questions. I see some profiles where I think ‘maybe’ where I’d normally swipe right and start a convo - but rarely enough detail where I’m confident I want to commit a night of my life and pay money to meet this person face to face. Given that matching is equivalent to committing to pay to go on a date, the app should require more text responses to launch a profile. Otherwise it’s a big waste of time I’ve matched three times. Two canceled before our date and my token was refunded. One of them canceled right away, and the other less than an hour before meeting. The third match was deaf but never mentioned that in his profile. Hearing isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker for me, but it felt deceptive to me for him to leave out that detail. I feel like some people using this particular app might be using it bc they have a hard time getting to a date once the convo starts. I totally think this guy leaves out that detail bc he thinks he’s more likely to get the date without it - rather than being upfront and trying to match with the right person for him The quality of the profiles is worse than what I see on other apps - which surprised me. I thought people would try harder to really present who they are. But no such dice. Bland generic profiles and this far unreliable follow through

3. 3/5Don’t fix what isn’t broken

   Hate how they removed the option to filter for kids and distance. I don’t want kids and one of Breeze’s best features was to let save time by not seeing people that I wouldn’t match with. And in NY, 10 miles is “long distance”. Straight up 1hr30 minutes in each direction. Speaking of distance, the venues they pick have been out of the way for both my match and I. When I contacted support, they said that they do not take our location into consideration, it’s based on the availability of their venues. How come we can’t just have a second optional screen for the date filler but instead of time we pick 3 neighborhoods? That way we don’t have to go too much out of our way. That said, I love how the business model benefits from people going on dates, rather than the opposite. I love the fair algorithm, the lack of chatting, and penalizing people for not sticking to their plans. I haven’t found my person yet, but the people feel more authentic and serious when I meet them here than in other apps.

4. 3/5Cool Concept but be prepared to wait

   I went into this app thinking it would be better than the others. The concept is cool since you agree to a date and pay up front. Definitely incentivizes people to follow through. However in my experience (3 matches in the 3 months I've been on, going thru matches daily), it still doesn't eliminate people cancelling on you(yes all three matches agreed to date then cancelled 24-48 hrs before the date and poof the match is gone). Don't get me wrong - you get the tokens back but since the policy doesn't allow refunds to your bank and only transfer them to friends (no one I know uses this app)...you're stuck until you either uninstalling or exhausting the tokens. Oh did I mention that the matches only stay in deck every 24 hrs? (so if they don't see it/not look at app regularly - its gone). Unlike other apps like Hinge/Tinder/Bumble (with their aggressively paywalled features) - thats the caveat here. Fear not! Im still swiping in hopes that one day I'll get someone who actually follows through 😂

5. 2/5Just deleted account - here’s why

   I had a day tonight that I was looking forward to. I’ve already been on one Breeze date that person wasn’t for me, but I really do love the concept. It’s almost 4 hours before the date and the person has not confirmed. I’m not upset about it or anything I’m not jumping to any conclusions why but since they have not been able to confirm yet, I want to cancel the date so I don’t get a last-minute cancel if something beyond the other person‘s control has happened and I can go on and have a good Saturday night and maybe try again some other time but the response I got back from I don’t know if it’s an automatic AI chat bot or what says that if I do that my account might be frozen, and I lose my token you can keep the token. I don’t wanna be on this platform anymore. I’m starting my own and I’m not gonna tell you anything about what I’m doing. It’s gonna be way better. But I do wish you the very best with this. I hope you guys get to a place where people feel good about using the app. And that you have much success thank you and goodbye.
