This just made traveling so much easier!! I’ve been using bookaway all over the world when I travel.

1/5TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Please do NOT use this company!! I booked a pickup to the airport at 2PM… contacted customer service at 2PM to verify my ride was still coming and had to go back and forth with customer service for 40 minutes about why my ride had not arrived. Customer service informed me they could not get ahold of the driver as they did not have a valid phone number. Additionally they said they would “cancel” my ride after waiting almost 45 minutes. When I explained that I would now have to pay $35 for a taxi due to this companies incompetence they told me to get a receipt for the taxi driver (as if they did not believe me). TAXI DRIVERS IN MEXICO DO NOT GIVE RECEIPTS & are cash only!! Once I explained that… they ended the live chat and I had no way of contacting them again. THIS COMPANY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!

Bookaway is a scam. Do not use this service. They will take your money and leave you stranded. I needed to take a shuttle across Costa Rica to catch my flight back to the US, so I booked a shuttle on Bookaway as it was the cheapest option available. I should have read more reviews, because upon realizing that my shuttle wasn’t in fact coming, I discovered that about 100 other people have been scammed by Bookaway as well. I was left with no other choice but to spend the rest of my budget on catching a private shuttle to the airport to make my flight. Save your money and your sanity and DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! Apple should remove this app from the AppStore as it is pure fraud.

1/5Sold me tickets for a route that is closed, kept me hanging then cancelled.
Booked 5 first-class Nuwara Eliya–Ella tickets because they looked sold out on the official site. After paying, their partner AKMT said that train doesn’t even run from there anymore it leaves from Ambewela, which was available on the official site the whole time at normal price. No way to cancel in-app. They sent 1 ticket of 5, promised the rest “at 11am on travel day,” never gave seat numbers, ignored every question, then cancelled the booking the night before with a child in our group. Refund email came but no money yet. Felt like a scam. Book direct on the official railway site instead!

Bugs. Incorrect addresses. Incompetent and horribly slow customer service. One of my issues took over a month to resolve somehow. I was blamed for an incorrect pick up address in the system which was clearly a bug. Instead of simply offering to refund me (after purchasing multiple tickets, some redundant), they tried to blame the carrier and get them to pay for the refund. Terrible. Obviously they wouldn’t, and so they decided to make up some convoluted story that somehow I was at fault for their bad data. I can see now from the other reviews that I’m not alone in experiencing a rather disappointing situation.

Don't install the app and don't use BOOKAWAY services. It's a SCAM!!!!! We waited for our tickets and they have never sent them to us. And we're still looking for a reimbursement.
