   I purchased this app and was told by customer service they had no record of it when I complained of no service I sent them a copy of the receipt Requested refund Still waiting for refund Still no service Contacting MA Attorney General who is in charge of scams App Store should not continue to sell this app Developer sent App Store the same canned reply they already sent me. So, no, I do not want to change my review In addition, as I told them, I am referring their attempt to make it so complicated to get a refund that people will give up is unacceptable I am referring this issue to the office of the Massachusetts Attorney General, who is charged with prosecuting scams and fraud I will be investigating other agencies to whom this issue is important. That includes agencies and media concerned with consumer issues Other providers of information similar to Been Verified provide refunds directly so there is no reason for Been Verified to be allowed to make the process so time consuming that consumers will not proceed Update: got message from developer to write to an email address. I did that a week ago. Just another delaying tactic. Bad faith move. I suggest that this is NOT a service I would use.

   I some how managed to sign up for a monthly subscription, not on purpose. When I called customer service and asked how that happen I did receive an explanation, however I could not understand the explanation due to a language barrier. I was charged for 4 months but not the last 2 months, I could not understand why I was still active but was not charged all of the sudden. She did cancel my membership and emailed me a notification. My assumption is I thought I was doing a one time search and charge but some how got a subscription. I take the blame for not understanding and will watch better in the future. I feel it shouldn’t be that easy to make that mistake. The two star is due to difficult to understand customer service and unable to get my questions answered, as well as the information I was able to receive from the app when I did use it. I feel like the info is not up to date or just inaccurate. I had searched numbers who I knew the people that they belonged to but wanted to verify name spelling and I would get no results found. I also searched people with known criminal background and the search also resulted in no results found, even with one individual incarcerated. It seemed like I got “no results found” more than I got info or info verified. $30 a month I would expect to have better and more accurate results.

   For how much money they charge you to have a membership with them is a waste of money and time. I had a membership for a few years, and I had to continue to make a new account all the time because it would never let me login, or it would say that the password was incorrect. But since I had my password saved to my phone and Never had a request to change it, so I know it was still the same. No matter how much money I have spent on memberships with them for years, and then you can’t even cancel the membership so you don’t keep wasting money on it every month since it cost so much. They don’t even let you look at any of the reports that you have paid for at all, not even look at the names or numbers or emails that you have searched. Even though you had to pay to receive all of those reports, and you can’t even go back to look at any of them, unless you pay for the membership to reactivate. That is a HUGE ripoff. No wonder why people don’t want to pay for their membership through them. All the information they give you, can be found for free online anyways. Don’t waste your money, on information you can get for free online from just searching a name on Google.

   I signed up for the $1.00 seven day trial to see if I would be able to obtain the information I needed from the app. It took me a total of 20 minutes to come to the conclusion that this app could not provide said information. I then canceled the subscription immediately so that I would not be charged an undetermined amount after the seven day trial so imagine my surprise when this scam of a company decides to randomly charge my account $33 today. I have reached out through all of the proper channels to try to rectify the situation and instead of returning the money from the unauthorized transaction. It is literally putting me in circles through the chat. That claims that you can speak with a representative, but in reality is just a bot and through the stupid automated system on their phone system. I have reached out through email multiple times with an auto response that is disgustingly unhelpful. The unauthorized transaction took money that I had in my account to pay a bill that is actually authorized to come out of my account today so when that transaction that’s actually authorized takes place. I will get a $34 overdraft fee so I will actually be out a total of $67 and these scammers want to give me the run around through every Chanel that they offer a ‘live person’ through

5. 2/5ACCURACY?! WHATS THAT?!?!

   I agree with other reviewers about search parameters completely ignored! Why ask the age or State to narrow it down if I’m going to get 100 results ignoring the age “44” for example and the order they are listed appears random... I got this app to try to keep myself and my children safe in this distopian world of AI and increasing lack of confidence with law enforcement and if anything there is so much mis-information It’s impossible to navigate what might be true vs random junk info.. I have also followed the directions and addressed the developer multiple times over incorrect information on my own account that literally has criminals that I do not know on a personal level at all as my family members!!!!Piles of incorrect information have been addressed multiple times only to remain on my profile and never actually get corrected... keep in mind it is sharing your home address while potentially connecting people with criminals which in my opinion open the door for some very serious safety concerns! I would like to think when I take the time to try to correct my information that they would actually do something on their end instead of leaving it wrong.. I was also paying for the upgrade for one or two years now and I didn’t realize it was for the criminal history, I had forgotten and thought it was just for use of the app because any criminal history has not been made available in at least the last year, probably longer and it would be nice if they did something to make that right... I stopped having faith in the app when I saw how incorrect and how much incorrect information I had for myself and repeatedly messaged them with the specific instructions instructing them which data was incorrect...Unfortunately the information is still there, for example I apparently graduated From A University that does not even exist...
