I agree with many other users that it is difficult to use this app in the free version. The ads interrupt the process and you're never sure if it's restarting or moving forward. My five star review is conditional on purchasing the app. At a reasonable, IMO, $1.99, I decided to purchase it to test my iPad battery. With the ads gone, it is a very useful app. It ran a test that took about 5 to 6 minutes and you could see the progression until the end, then it gave me a score. I wasn't sure what the score really meant until I took a look at the history. I was glad to see that my year and a half old iPad 11 was still in the "normal" range when compared with identical devices. I expected some degradation. In the test result area, there is a share icon that will produce a summary page which you can take a screenshot of for later reference. The app also told me how much I could time expect for web, browsing, videos, etc.. It also shows a bunch of system, detail, such as RAM, the CPU networking, and, most importantly, for this app, the battery capacity. All those seemed to check out, and I found them useful. This app is definitely a useful addition to the built-in battery status. My purchase also included the iPhone version, though I had to do a "restore purchases" to get rid of the ads. I was not surprised to see that my phone, which is newer than my iPad and also gets a lot less use, scored higher on the battery test. Add all this up for the price and it is a 5 star app for me.

5/5Pretty cool app
This is a cool app to test the power that your cell phone battery is putting out. I just replaced my battery and wanted to check to see if it was in fact a brand new and powerful battery and this app give me a good high score, in the low 900’s so I'm a happy camper. Thanks to the developers of this app. Good job. There are a quite of few adds within this app, which isn’t bad because you have to wait a couple of minutes for this app to fully scan your battery and you have something to look at something and waste some time during that period, I mean they need to make their bread some how.!!!!!!!! Its better then having to pay for an app. Add it up all you want...

1/5Apple needs to stop this
The free version is basically malware, and i doubt the paid version tells you anything useful. Providing an app setvice to users for free by having ads that make the UI less nice and a little bit slower is one thing, but on this alp the setup is straight up predatory. Not only do the ads pop up during the test halting progress until you click through then, they are mostly ambiguous iphone test prompts attempting to trick the user to download other sketchy apps or god knows what. Of course the close ad buttons are super hidden and tricky. Oh, and they go from silent to blaring volume so you will be playing strange ads for your family, customers, and who knows who else until you go back to phone and turn volume off. The last kicker is it claims by battery life is near perfect, when even iPhone settings admit its down to 91% and im highly suspect its worse than that since it lasts half as long as it did when it was new. Major two thumbs down on this. This ad behavior needs to stop. Apple shouldnt allow these kinds of ads that trick the user by seeming to be part of the app and are hard to close.

1/5Just look for a review titled "useless"
... The first review I saw with a score of one said almost exactly what I have to say. It could be that I have an iPhone 5, and the most recent iOS I can run is 10.3.3. Perhaps in later iOS versions this app useful information. For me, it just showed me five minutes worth of advertisements and then gave me a number. I gather from looking at other peoples scores that this number can range between one and 1000. I've now run the test several times on the same battery and gotten wildly different numbers. I found a chart that said that my score is "bad." Finally I found a page that showed me available milliamp hours and percent usage, but it turned out that that was a number I could have obtained by multiplying the percent my iPhone shows in the upper right corner and the maximum possible milliamp hours of this battery if it were in perfect shape. I get no estimated run times, no explanation of what test was run, no explanation of the score and what it means… You get the idea. Useless. At least with iOS 10.

5/5Excellent App for Testing iOS Devices!
I bought a used iPhone 8 at a great price but I was worried about the battery. I needed to know if it was still in good shape. I must have reviewed 30 different battery apps, finally settling on Battery Testing! In less than 10 minutes, I knew everything about my iPhone’s battery I needed to know! Battery Testing gives your battery a score. I my case, the battery was still in good shape and did. It need to be replaced! I recommend Battery Testing app without reservation!

          "body": "This is a cool app to test the power that your cell phone battery is putting out. I just replaced my battery and wanted to check to see if it was in fact a brand new and powerful battery and this app give me a good high score, in the low 900’s so I'm a happy camper. Thanks to the developers of this app. Good job. There are a quite of few adds within this app, which isn’t bad because you have to wait a couple of minutes for this app to fully scan your battery and you have something to look at something and waste some time during that period, I mean they need to make their bread some how.!!!!!!!!           "body": "The free version is basically malware, and i doubt the paid version tells you anything useful. Providing an app setvice to users for free by having ads that make the UI less nice and a little bit slower is one thing, but on this alp the setup is straight up predatory. Not only do the ads pop up during the test halting progress until you click through then, they are mostly ambiguous iphone test prompts attempting to trick the user to download other sketchy apps or god knows what. Of course the close ad buttons are super hidden and tricky. Oh, and they go from silent to blaring volume so you will be playing strange ads for your family, customers, and who knows who else until you go back to phone and turn volume off. The last kicker is it claims by battery life is near perfect, when even iPhone settings admit its down to 91% and im highly suspect its worse than that since it lasts half as long as it did when it was new. Major two thumbs down on this. This ad behavior needs to stop. Apple shouldnt allow these kinds of ads that trick the user by seeming to be part of the app and are hard to close.",

          "body": "... The first review I saw with a score of one said almost exactly what I have to say. It could be that I have an iPhone 5, and the most recent iOS I can run is 10.3.3. Perhaps in later iOS versions this app useful information. For me, it just showed me five minutes worth of advertisements and then gave me a number. I gather from looking at other peoples scores that this number can range between one and 1000. I've now run the test several times on the same battery and gotten wildly different numbers. I found a chart that said that my score is \"bad.\" Finally I found a page that showed me available milliamp hours and percent usage, but it turned out that that was a number I could have obtained by multiplying the percent my iPhone shows in the upper right corner and the maximum possible milliamp hours of this battery if it were in perfect shape. I get no estimated run times, no explanation of what test was run, no explanation of the score and what it means… You get the idea. Useless. At least with iOS 10.",
