3/5Very confusing
I’m pretty tech savvy but this is such a confusing interface. Not just in comparison to the old cap metro app. It’s very showy and I really wish I could just simply see bus times in real time like before

1/5Total garbage, but there’s no other choice
This is the 3rd or 4th Austin metro app I’ve used, I’m guessing it’s a contract and this is the new lowest bidder. There is nothing intuitive about this app, when you’re looking for a bus it’ll tell you to walk 3/4 of a mile one direction when there’s a stop for the same bus half that distance just walking the other direction. Even more frustrating than that it seems to only give you routes in hour intervals or longer when most of the stops have pickups every 15 minutes. And to top it all off they’re trying to make it a paid app. Opening it for the first time it offers you a “free week,” that I struggle to find a way to cancel, and if you press to skip the trial offer, it signs you up anyway. If the point of the app is to make you more resourceful on your own without the app, then they’re doing great; if it’s to be actually helpful than they’re failing miserably and trying to screw you over. Again, we have no other choice because the old, good app isn’t online anymore. It took a lot of patience to not swear writing this review but I’m sure it wouldn’t go up if I did, but users should be warned what they’re going to have to deal with.

1/5Could not be worse
Unbelievable that the first thing a public transit app does is hit you up for a paid (“FREE TRIAL”) offer. And what do you get for your monthly credit card ding? Well, after saving (starring) a SINGLE STOP in the app, you’ll hit “Limit reached: You need Premium to manage more than one saved stop”! (Which may work great for you if you tend to get on the bus at a regular stop but never get off it?) Where do you buy fares? Where’s a system map? CapMetro: not sure how you let this developer talk you into this garbage. Your previous app wasn’t perfect but LORD was it better than this. And monetizing a public transit app in this way is just awful. These are BUS RIDERS, for god’s sake. You know better.

1/5Disgusting, worthless
There used to be a free, working CapMetro app. It became unavailable a few months ago and was replaced with this unusable new app. It never shows the nearest route to your destination. Instead it recommends routes which take you miles out of your way, add unnecessary bus switchovers, and/or depart/arrive hours later than necessary. Sometimes when you close and immediately reopen the app these routes will be replaced seemingly at random with equally useless ones. Whoever decided to remove free access to an essential public service and instead charge users for bad information is completely vile.

1/5Subscription for ?
I just downloaded this app so that I could use it to catch the bus and all of a sudden I got hit with a subscription $29 a month for what I’m trying to catch the bus to go to work and function in society. Every review is one star one thing I hate is someone playing around like it’s funny. You literally could have the map on the website that people could look at I just moved from the coldest place in America and they had a better app system than this ! in a major big city Well, what’s trying to turn into a major big city lol Austin go figure tech hub of what ? lol.
