4/5Great App Overall
I’m not paid to write this review, idk if there are other good reviews that were paid for out there but I kinda doubt it cuz the app is genuinly a good one. it costs $10, but if u often transpose music, this is a great investment. App has a great interface and it’s and it’s transposing software sounds great as well and maintains the timbre/formant of the sound well (which can be difficult at times) Although, one thing that I’d like to see as an added feature, if it doesn’t exist already, is the option to transpose audio by however many cents you want. The only intervals I can transpose by are 100 cent intervals, but some old recordings are tuned down a bit and in between half steps, which can make things a bit more difficult depending on how you transpose recordings.

5/5Excellent Interface
Audio Stretch is quite an amazing app that makes the technical part of transcribing easy. The tempo and pitch controls are easily changed by whatever amount you desire (by either sliding them or scaling up/down. You can play a small part of a recording ‘by hand’ in the style of moving old r/r tape slightly, or even hold a sound to listen to a certain moment of your choice. Loops are easy to use. There is a keyboard picture which indicates the pitches/overtones that the app hears at a certain spot; this is helpful to verify what you are hearing (used by itself only visually, the results might seem a bit jumbled). Start/stop is very easy with a tap on the screen. One note: you must own (i.e. purchase) a copy of the music (via the itunes store, for example) you are working on for the app to access it. You may not just import a stream into the app. If you have any appreciation of musicians’ relationship to their recordings and copyright, you will understand why this is. Do not expect to use/manipulate/etc. streamed recordings for free.

5/5This app is a game changer!!!!!
One of my hobbies is that I sing 4-part barbershop music. The most conventional way to learn our music is that we get learning tracks with your part in one ear(channel) and the 3 other parts in the other ear. I have had other apps that also have the ability to slow down, change keys, block off sections to work but the biggest change with AudioStretch is that you can listen to a note or chord as long as you wish as long as your finger is on the screen. The feature is awesome when something is really fast or hard to hear. You can also load your own video and do the same thing there. The other feature that is different is that you cal load a piano bar at the top of the screen. It shows which notes are being sung and the overtones that are produced. If you learn your notes visually, this will help. This is the best out there to learn music. It might cost a little it is so worth it!!!!! ***Addendum*** As I mentioned earlier, I do have another similar app that has a lot of the same features. The one thing it has that AudioStretch does not have currently is the ability to keep a list of files that have been uploaded previously. It makes it easier to go back and forth to different files. If that feature were to be added, it would have everything I need. Thank you again for a great app!!!!!!

5/5super helpful
I often need to work on tunes in a different key than the recording, and this is my go-to helper app. The key can be changed without affecting the speed of the song, and the speed can be changed without affecting the key. Of course any vocals will sound a bit odd depending on how much the key is changed, but that is not a glitch with the app at all. You can also slow down the speed of a song to hear details or play along at a slower pace without changing the key, until you get familiar enough with the song to play at normal speed. I play lots of musical genres. One way that I use this: I find instrumental versions of fav rap songs and rewrite the lyrics. Sometimes I just need to backing tracks 5-10% slower so I can keep up with the bpm's. Highly recommended!

5/5Great app!
This app was suggested in a Facebook group and happened to get some great comments and the price was great! I went ahead and purchased the full version and have no regrets! In fact, just yesterday I recorded a bass line in a higher octave that was triggering a synth app. I decided I wanted a low octave to synch with it, but playing the bass line over exactly like the original would be virtually impossible! I exported the original bass line into the AudioStretch app and lowered the pitch down a full octave without slowing the file and there was very little sound degradation! I then exported back to my DAW and it was perfect! Another great feature is this app will change video audio without changing the video itself...just the audio. It really saves some steps if you are editing a video! I highly recommend this app! 😊💖✨

Do not install or update to this version unless you're running on a 64-bit device: iPhone 5s or later; iPad Air or iPad mini 2 or later; and iPod Touch 6 or later. Rate/review AudioStretch on the AppStore if you like it! Contact [email protected] for help or feature requests.
