5/5Incredible app
This app is an incredibly hands on way to have some fun with breaks! It provides a workflow very similar to a hardware alternative like an sp404 or akai mpc, but for very cheap and available anywhere you go. The ability to import breaks it great and the recording feature is awesome! As is the app is a solid 8/10, but with a few changes I think it could be an easy 10/10. A few more effects and parameters for effects would be nice. An overdrive/distortion for example, or a reverb or an eq cut would go a long way. Maybe 10 total? Extra adjustment for them would be great as well, such as a basic knob or 2 for each. Along with the extra effects, some extra sounds like gabber kicks or 909 crashes would be great, and just a trigger for one of the 16 steps would be great for them. These combined would make this app something incredible, and I wouldn’t mind paying 10$ if added. Again incredible app and was very useful when I didn’t have hardware.

5/5Such an awesome app. Worth every penny!
I love this app because of its simple and elegant way of mapping a drum break to its buttons, which act as both sequencer and pad bank. The fact that you can switch out different breaks on the fly and make stitched-together combinations that are synced perfectly with one another is something I’ve never seen another app or device do in such a user friendly way! The added bonus of loading in your own samples is amazing as well, as long as you’re using samples you’ve already trimmed properly (which you’ll need to do in a different app) makes this a very usable and powerful tool!

5/5Awesome app, hoping more features come later
Really glad this is back on the app store, it’s so much fun to play around with. I hope in the future it keeps getting more features! I would love to have a mode where you can lock the loop to restart after 8 bars or something like that, so that you don’t lose the beat after going too crazy. I also wish there was a mode or way to hit the snare and other percs more like a pad instead of starting the loop playing from that point. Overall worth the money!

5/5Excellent app, could use more features
Portable breakcore is awesome but the app would reach perfection if it added more features to modulate the breaks in real time. For example pitch shifter, EQ, and being able to play each button in isolation rather than starting the whole loop from that point, and being able to lay another sample on top of the break, would all be so fun! I really hope this app gets updated over time bc there’s so much potential here and it’s already great.

5/5Really fun app that i get stuck playing; would like more features
I love this app a whole lot! It’s a lot of fun to jam out and mess around with the amen breaks, it makes me feel like an actual musician lol. I wish there was a pitch shifter in the corner that would reset back to its normal place after letting go for even more fun! For what it is worth though in its current state, it’s still DEFINITELY worth your money.
