  1. 5/5Over charging me

I’ve been using app since 2023 and it’s been great, however since July 16, 2024 every time I try to set a ride my card on file gets charged for a rides I took back in 2023 now I can’t even use app because it keeps charging for 2023 rides that I already paid for! I have emailed and called and still no resolution! I tried deleting my account however customer services says I owe for rides I never took because I can’t even set up rides, however the app still will show a balance owe on customer service side! I have multiple charges that were already paid for.

  2. 2/5Very inconvenient

Simply put this service is inconvenient. The pick up and drop off points are kinda weird. Like you have to walk across the street just to get picked up. Even though there is a perfect spot to park near to me. And half the time the drop off it a block or two from where I set the marker. just recently, my drop off point was right at a traffic light, not some side street or parking lot, a traffic light. Like I don’t want to get out on the street and worry about cars hitting me. Apparently the drivers HAVE to follow the line exactly. Even though there was a small street where I could have been dropped off, the driver HAD to stay on the busy main road. It just doesn’t make any sense. I even heard another driver complain about this exact problem. Like this app feels dated in comparison to Lyft for example. When I set the marker, the car parks there, not two blocks over. The only good thing this app has going is the fact it’s cheap. You can buy a week pass, and even if you don’t, the fares are like 5 bucks or something. But it seems like you get what you pay for. I feel like This service just needs better gps systems or something. If there’s a perfect lot closer to me, just make pickup there. Plus it’s like, not aware of traffic lights apparently. Let the driver go where they need to go. Don’t lock them to a strict line. Lastly, I understand the wait times, it’s not always gonna be readily available. but if they just fixed these problems, I’d be more okay with it. This service has potential thats not yet realized is all.

  3. 3/5Ok for what it is

Pretty poor excuse for a transit system for such a large metro. No way to schedule pick up and drop off times in advance, half the time you can’t even get a ride and if you get lucky and do get one the wait time can be an hour or so which would be great if I could schedule that an hour in advance. But since I can’t I just have to play the “can I get a ride lottery” about an hour out and hope I get one. Oh wait I did get one but then they changed the eta from one hour to 5 minutes after only 5 minutes passed and I’m not ready and they are charging me a cancelation, yay. Being flexible with public transit scheduling is expected, not having any way to schedule whatsoever or predictable pickup times within a 30 minute window is not. Had to use Uber to get to work after already using the service twice in one week after missing the train due to their eta being so off. That said, those are all problems with Arlington not being willing to invest in real transit or expanding the taxi fleet. Outside these factors previously mentioned the app works decent.

  4. 1/5Does VIA read these reviews?

I left a very detailed review of this app & service within weeks of using the service & it was not posted so I’ll try again: Arlington TX is the largest city in the country w/o a public transportation system. Allegedly lawmakers want to keep the riff raft out that public buses bring in. I don’t blame them but the Jokes on them bc I’ve taken plenty of VIA rides here in Arli with homeless/addicts & they smell or have no social awareness. this service is unreliable, you are on their time, support has the comprehension of 10 yr olds, babies/toddlers/small children are charged full price, curb to curb with no direction to get there is insane, drivers are annoying half of the time & treat the vehicle like it’s their personal car listening to their choice of music- drivers pay to rent the van so maybe that’s why but it’s not the passengers fault. Drivers also seem to be partially blind or ignorant-such as yelling “you have to have a car seat!” Literally while you’re holding it? I could go on & on but I have to jump back on the app to try & get to the store for water for my family.

  5. 4/5They need to fix the problem with the app

The city of Arlington need to fix this app y’all spend too much money for app to develop ride Sharing and so far that’s not been the case so far since I was using the old app when I ask for a supervisor they tell you to wait 48 hours and we never get the answer what we want to hear but y’all want us to spend money by the distance and the wait time is way too long too many people to be late to work and school if y’all can’t get this app fix get a technician to fix the problem you are going to embarrass the city of Arlington and the drivers that are working for them and lost a lot of people and money this app should not tell me to edit my credit card information that’s mess up and y’all still having issues with the app with high demand because y’all don’t want to update y’all system that’s going to take a year
