   The app made it easy and convenient. I love how easily I could customize the sides/sauces. As someone who has never worked in the restaurant/food industry but has worked in the sales/retail/customer service industry for over 20 years I understand the importance of both client satisfaction as well as upselling/adding on higher margin items (such as waffle fries for an additional $2.49). While on this order I didn’t do any “add ons” or “upgrades” I definitely would in the future. Love that I have that option. In all honesty I feel that the price was very reasonable to feed 4 fully grown adults (and that’s including third party delivery and an added on 15% gratuity). As a consumer I would do more “impulse ordering” or whatever buzz word you use in the restaurant industry if you sent me text messages with offers (way better than email) and I would be most prone to act with “free appetizers with order of entree/$25 or more” “BOGO entrees” or free delivery on orders $25 or more. Twice a week. No more. Then it gets annoying.

2. 3/5Every Applebees allows different substitutions?

   We order from Applebees via the app once or twice a month. We recently moved 30 minutes from our last home. At the last Applebees, we could request “no croutons” on our salads (have to because of allergy), but at the new place the app doesn’t offer a way to request no croutons. There are other issues with not being able to customize food at one store versus another. After calling the stores in question, they both say the app is a different entity and controls what can be requested at each store - not them. Basically no wants to fix the problem, but it causes us to place the order on the app and then have to follow up with calling he restaurant to request our simple change - and it is a time waste and a frustration. One of the biggest reasons why is because the restaurant is always loud, so it’s always frustrating to try to explain this EVERY TIME and only about half the time is our order correct. I already know Applebees does not care about its customers with food allergies or special diets, but this is kind of ridiculous. Just be consistent. It’s a simple request. You allow all kinds of other removals or additions - why not croutons?

3. 1/5Dishonest waitress

   Today my husband and went to Applebees for dinner. Our waitress Lea F was trying to add items to our bill. She always seemed as if she was in a rush with our table and not stopping to answer any questions. She got our order wrong a couple of times after I told her I needed dairy free food. When it came time to give us our bill she quickly dropped it at the table and left thinking I was going to pay online. However our bill came out to be almost 25 dollars more than it should have been. We looked over the bill and saw that she added another full item and an extra ala cart salad. On the mobile bill, when I scanned it, i noticed she added two specialty drinks which then made our bill $90 and listed our table as having 3 guests. I don’t like to be deceived like this. I called her over and told her there were errors on our bill. Luckily I also took a picture of the bill she originally left at our table after running off and avoiding us. This bill also showed that she listed our table as having three guests. She knew exactly what she was doing. This was no mistake. I can only imagine how many other ppl she has done this to. I hope management will look into this. I have pictures of the bills for proof.

4. 5/5The app will not let me put in the color car

   This app has a major problem . I have tried turning my phone off and reboot the app and it still will not let me place an order for carside . This has been like that for over 6 months . I think you need to repair the app . I don’t order much because it’s too hard to use this app . If you want people to order from the app fix it . I tried to order by using inside pickup and it let me go through . This is the last time I will order inside pickup . If you don’t fix the app I will stop ordering from your store . I can order from other places and the apps work great but this one is hard to monover and I placed the same order 6 times and when I try to pay it will not let me because it said I had to put the car color in am so when I put it in it locks up the screen and I have to exit out of the app and it looses my order . This app needs lots of work to make if user friendly .

5. 1/5WATCH “total” AMOUNT PAYING

   first of all, the online website is so difficult and glitchy. it wouldn’t let me change my store location. so i got this app thinking it would be easier. NOT. they need to fix the apps system because it definitely does not add up the numbers properly. took my coworkers and i 45+ minutes to put in our order. we tried using a $5 off $25 coupon for using the app for the first time, we were getting our order together and our subtotal was $27 and it wouldnt take the $5 off ?? so we made the subtotal $30 and then it kept saying it didn’t equal the right amount and when we were adding a tip it wasnt letting it work either. so we said screw it and didnt add a tip (lol dont kill us) and it went through and it said our total paid was $22?? which is interesting because our total WITHOUT tax was $30 and then the $5 coupon would’ve made it $25 and then some tax. so wheb we saw $22 we were very confused but said whatever. then i get my confirmation order email and see that it charged me $30?? we looked at the details and the tax was $2.28 and then it DID take out a tip of $3?? so whatever that makes sense that a subtotal of $30 -$5 coupon +$2 tax & $3tip. =$30 ish dollars. but the process of this was such a HASSEL. im not complaining about the $30 or anything its just annoying that the app was completely messing up the numbers in the first place making it so confusing. also it IS weird that it took out a tip when we opted out. BUT we were going to try to tip anyway in the first place if the app was working. this was such an annoying process and it really makes me not want to use the app again or even order from apple bees. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS APP. lol shoulda just called an order in.
