1. 5/5Perks, Service, and Convenience

   Awesome convenience and great discounts for additional services and Amenify is linked with the Loft App that my apartment uses to keep up with payments, services and community updates. I used Amenify for the first time this weekend to have my apartment cleaned while I was out of town for my birthday. There was serious confusion because somehow a team in Houston, TX was dispatched to clean my apartment in Alabama. Customer service line since I started calling and asking questions before going through with a service has been over all good. I’d say 1 out of 5 need some training, but the other 4 out of 5 are incredibly nice. That being said, I was told I would get a $20 credit for the inconvenience, but it isn’t appearing in my app. So, I’ll be calling today or tomorrow. And I expect that they will honor it because, really, this is a good service with primarily good customer service so far.

2. 2/5Bad policies, app is badly developed

   First off you get charged a 5% fee to do or change anything, make sure you are 100% certain when making a choice on a date or a subscription (although even if it’s a great deal I wouldn’t subscribe the cancellation policy is not worth it and the app doesn’t allow you to reschedule subscription service dates months in advance without another… you guessed it FEE) personally now that we are moving we will no longer use this service, the pros were good, I mean I wouldn’t hire them on my own but they don’t give you an option to change your pro if they don’t do great the first time anyways. Trying to talk to support puts your phone battery to 1% as you cannot leave the chat, change apps or let your phone screen turn off, it will kick you from the chat and you have to start all over. Overall I think it’s just scammy business practices that don’t give you clear indications of what you’re signing up for and add a bunch of fees onto what is already mediocre pricing and without bonuses from our apartment management I would rather hire my cat to clean. As you can tell I’ve had a frustrating experience with this app and company, I just think there’s way better services out there with properly developed support and clear pricing/fees.

3. 1/5Preserve your sanity, don’t book with these guys

   Absolutely the scammiest system I’ve interacted with in a while. Signed up for just two cleanings to try out the service; they processed my signup as an ongoing subscription (with no notice). I accepted that, went through another two auto-scheduled cleanings since I’d already been forced to pay for them (for the first, Amenify switched my scheduled cleaner four times the day of the appointment, making me amend my apartment entry list for every switch; for the second, the cleaner showed up without supplies, saying it was her first job and the lead/trainer she was supposed to be paired with had no-showed). I went to cancel. You have to talk to a live person to do that; the company doesn’t take no for an answer so you have to battle for it; they try to pass you off to another “cancellation team” that “takes 24-48 hours to process your request,” and THEN they charge you a cancellation fee (5% off your “original subscription amount”!) for no discernible reason. Will be reporting to whatever consumer bureaus I can find, with detailed documentation. Update: Amenify, the reason you “can’t find my account” is because I had to delete it entirely in order to remove my credit card information and stop you from charging me. There is no way in the app to delete a default payment method once added.

4. 1/5I wish I never downloaded this app

   I downloaded this app because I saw they were partnered with my building and I would get a $50 monthly credit. I booked a cleaning service (which doesn’t even let you pick a time slot, only a 4-hour window, which they say they can’t even guarantee). The woman arrived with her husband (which was not previously disclosed), and they both came into my apartment wearing their sneakers from outside. They did not use booties or anything to cover their feet and walked right onto my carpet with their dirty shoes. They started in my bathroom, and I watched her use a toilet brush that she brought to clean the inside AND outside of my toilet. She dunked the brush into the water and used it to scrub all around the outside of the toilet and seat. Not only that, but once the toilet was thoroughly soaking wet, she used a paper towel to dry it, and then used that same paper towel that was covered in toilet water to WIPE MY BATHROOM SINK. This was only the beginning, and trust me when I say it got worse from there. I had to reclean my entire apartment after they left. Do not trust Amenify. They just hire random people with no guaranteed training to do rushed, unsanitary work. And they don’t let you cancel appointments and ask you to tip in advance. All of these should’ve been red flags before I started this whole mess.

5. 1/5Do not use - scam!

   Do not use this app - I tried to schedule a house cleaning, they charged me the full price and wanted me to tip for the services before it ever occurred. I assumed that I was putting in my credit card for a place holder, but NO they charged me before the service had ever happened!! Then I had someone(the cleaner) contacting me trying to change date and time to their convenience, which I did, then I had someone showing up at the original date and time which I was not longer available for, since they had changed. Then the first person who had changed date and time of service didn’t show up. I contacted the app….there response was she didn’t work for them anymore…I said - just give me back my money, I don’t want to deal with this. They fought me on it - and I had to go to my credit card company and dispute to get my money back. Now fast forward - the app has been deleted from my phone - and I get another charge 3 months later…like I’m a member or something. I can’t believe the apt. complex I live in endorsed and advertised this app and service!! Also, when I called to complain about my experience and request my money back - I got zero customer service and was routed to what felt like offshore help where English was not the first language!!
