1. 3/5Still new to the app

   I’ve only used it once for cleaning and once for a food order. Each time the scheduling seemed relatively straight forward, but it doesn’t allow for comments made after confirming the service or order - for things such a entry keys or apartment numbers - if forgotten upon initial order. Update 10/9 - a lot of room for improvement. I have found where you can update the initial order for entry details, but those details have not once been provided to the person providing the service. It’s a bit of a mess every time a cleaning person gets to my apartment and I have to step away to help them get in. Additionally, there have been some challenges with when the person actually shows up. Lastly, it’s not once been the same person and each person seems new - to the building, to the company, etc. It would be nice to have the same person each time, and for that person to be familiar with the building. This would create a level of comfort that I do not currently have. Also - when you earn credits, it doesn’t automatically apply them to your standard prescheduled/packaged services - so that seems like a waste.

2. 3/5Good app but there’s better options

   Overall the app has its perks, and good prices (or so it seems). I have not tried any of the other services besides handyman because I just needed a paint touch up on a few spots on the wall… however I had to put in a service request on 3 different occasions because the handymen they were assigning to me kept having “car troubles” or “sudden emergencies” so they were not showing up. Finally the 4th time I had someone show up & that’s when I found out that amenify is just a 3rd party app that hires these people from OTHER apps/companies and sends them to you!! They sent me a handyman from “taskrabbit” a different service app (and his rate is $35/hr but amenify charged me $68/hr!!!!). Long story short, the job got done and I’m happy with the results but will definitely now be using task rabbit directly to avoid being overcharged & stood up so many times. I can’t speak for any of the other service options however, I do imagine the groceries/convenience/food pickup would work just fine :)

3. 2/5This app is bad and they should feel bad.

   One of the jankiest apps I’ve ever used. The keyboard flickers while you type, it will randomly stop completely and make you start again, which is super difficult when you have to swipe over to try and pick up a sentence where you left off. It will claim a $0 service fee and then give you one when you check out. The restaurants that come up are inconsistent and seem to show up or not completely at random. I’ve used it mostly for food pickup and delivery so this may be unique to that, but it’s extraordinarily frustrating to use. For a couple weeks it wouldn’t let me sign in and the password reset link does not send an email. Without modifying anything in my credentials it started letting me sign in again a couple of days ago. Getting a refund if a delivery is wrong, stolen, or delivered to the wrong place is a huge hassle and they’ll initially say they can’t due to policy. I don’t know how it’s rated so well, without the wallet credits I would never use it.

4. 1/5Preserve your sanity, don’t book with these guys

   Absolutely the scammiest system I’ve interacted with in a while. Signed up for just two cleanings to try out the service; they processed my signup as an ongoing subscription (with no notice). I accepted that, went through another two auto-scheduled cleanings since I’d already been forced to pay for them (for the first, Amenify switched my scheduled cleaner four times the day of the appointment, making me amend my apartment entry list for every switch; for the second, the cleaner showed up without supplies, saying it was her first job and the lead/trainer she was supposed to be paired with had no-showed). I went to cancel. You have to talk to a live person to do that; the company doesn’t take no for an answer so you have to battle for it; they try to pass you off to another “cancellation team” that “takes 24-48 hours to process your request,” and THEN they charge you a cancellation fee (5% off your “original subscription amount”!) for no discernible reason. Will be reporting to whatever consumer bureaus I can find, with detailed documentation. Update: Amenify, the reason you “can’t find my account” is because I had to delete it entirely in order to remove my credit card information and stop you from charging me. There is no way in the app to delete a default payment method once added.

5. 1/5I wish I never downloaded this app

   I downloaded this app because I saw they were partnered with my building and I would get a $50 monthly credit. I booked a cleaning service (which doesn’t even let you pick a time slot, only a 4-hour window, which they say they can’t even guarantee). The woman arrived with her husband (which was not previously disclosed), and they both came into my apartment wearing their sneakers from outside. They did not use booties or anything to cover their feet and walked right onto my carpet with their dirty shoes. They started in my bathroom, and I watched her use a toilet brush that she brought to clean the inside AND outside of my toilet. She dunked the brush into the water and used it to scrub all around the outside of the toilet and seat. Not only that, but once the toilet was thoroughly soaking wet, she used a paper towel to dry it, and then used that same paper towel that was covered in toilet water to WIPE MY BATHROOM SINK. This was only the beginning, and trust me when I say it got worse from there. I had to reclean my entire apartment after they left. Do not trust Amenify. They just hire random people with no guaranteed training to do rushed, unsanitary work. And they don’t let you cancel appointments and ask you to tip in advance. All of these should’ve been red flags before I started this whole mess.
