  1. 5/5Enjoyable App

I love Aloe Bud! For a good few months I did not use it and it is still the best habit "tracker" in terms of motivation and mental health in my experience. The content and themes are very simple making it easy to navigate and use. Aloe Bud also includes a lot of adorable free content, I do not pay for the in-app purchases but even without them you can fully use and get benefits from this app. Being able to choose the difference between an activity of writing/ answering a question and simply clicking a button also helps to keep me from getting bored or overwhelmed with the notifications. Overall really enjoyable app!

  2. 5/5perfect and simple, never overwhelming

i’ve been a huge fan of this app for over 5 years now. it has the perfect and simple interface while still being aesthetically pleasing. the reminders are so sweet and gentle, and you can set them for anything you could possibly need. i’ve used it throughout college, my career, and my mental health journey overall so much to the point where it just feels like part of me. even better is that even though there’s a paywall for certain features, the app is still perfectly functional without it AND they offer a free membership for those who are low income. i’ve never seen any app truly take that much HONEST care of just helping people get (even the simplest) care regardless of their income. i feel like a lot of developers should follow in their footsteps as all mental health care should be able to be afforded by anyone who needs it and this team actually puts their money where their mouth is. absolutely amazing.

  3. 5/5Simple gentle ways to a better you

I really am enjoying this app and once I started using it, I could see the value in paying to unlock all the other features. Unlike a lot of other mental health apps that want you to pay monthly, once you pay then that’s it. The app itself only allows a limited amount of words when you type into the log, but that is good because it forces you to get to the point! You can view a running list of daily things you accomplished and the stuff you typed into your log. The reminders feature is nice. My only suggestion, and another reviewer mentioned this, is I’d like to be able to rename the activity buttons to make it more personal. Otherwise, this is nice app to help motivate, uplift, and just generally help you be your best mentally.

  4. 5/5The Best Self Care App!

I have downloaded at least 10 other self care apps, and non of them compare to this one! Most features on other self care apps require premium, and premium is quite expensive! Aloe Bud is the complete opposite, and is way more useful, too! It isn’t throwing ads at me- at all, and has only advertised once for itself when I was signing up. It is a very motivating app, that keeps me in line. The activity questions get me thinking and motivated. This apps makes sure that I am taking care of myself in every way possible! Not to mention how cute it is! I personally haven’t bought premium, but I can definitely tell that premium is worth it. Especially since it is a onetime low price. I will definitely recommend this app to my friends, and you, the person reading this review! Fantastic self care app, 5/5 stars. Amazing! Love it!

  5. 5/5Simple and Effective

Aloe Bud is a simple but effective app geared towards improving and managing one’s mental health. The breathing activity is automatically included as a pre-set. Breathing exercises have been proven to reduce stress and anxiety. They can also act as a way to look inward and be aware of one’s breathing patterns. They reduce fight or flight response and improve focus. The app also has activities such as medication reminders. I think this would be very beneficial for anyone who has to take medication for their depression, anxiety, or anything else. It keeps everything relating to your mental health in one place. I personally find the hydrate and fuel activities very helpful. I have a hard time eating/drinking enough when I have classes and work all day. This helps me keep track of when and what I eat. With all of the activities you can set reminders to do them. Once completed, you can hit the “check in” or “complete” button to log the activity. The app itself is visually appealing and well designed. I also appreciate that there is a link to mental health resources such as the Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Trevor Project, and various more aimed at supporting those with mental illnesses.
