    I literally never write reviews on apps but I saw Allspice on Instagram and decided I would try it out. I save my recipes literally everywhere and I can never track them down. I was using another cooking app that only allowed me to upload a couple of recipes before I had to pay so I never got to save all my recipes in the app. Allspice lets you upload as many as you want FOR FREE! You can take a recipe from TikTok, Instagram, anywhere and it will create a recipe for you and save it to your account. There’s a community to share recipes, and you can grocery shop and manage your “pantry”. It’s hard to believe this app just came out. It looks and feels really good. Literally going to use this all the time.

  2. 5/5Best Recipe tracker

    I just started using this app and its so great to be able to import all of my recipes from all my various sites! I save so many recipes and then don't know if they are on Instagram, tiktok, or a website. This app allows me to store everything in one spot, always have instant access and the ability to organize into categories. I'm also gluten free so can adjust the recipe or search easily. I’ve also imported the recipes into my weekly shopping list then had instacart deliver! My life just got easier! Love it

  3. 1/5Lots of Bugs and Poor UI

    This app has a ton of bugs in it and lot’s of issues. There is no way to close out the tutorial or not show the getting started sections if you do not want to go through it. The Mac OS app just shows a white screen and does not load. There is no way to select the ingredients in the recipe steps, only some get highlighted by some AI thing and it misses a bunch of them each time. There should just be a family account, instead you have to share each “cook book (folder)”, pantry and shopping list to share them with family members. There is no way to add custom tags or modifiers or categories like you can in Paprika. You are forced to see “Saved, Imported and Posted “folders at the top of the library page. Taking a photo of the recipe does not work on my iPhone, but you can import saved images. When importing it makes up some AI description of the recipe for zero reason.

  4. 2/5No Longer Worth the Download

    This was once a great app. However, the creators recently decided to make it so that you can’t see the steps of the recipe without going to the website. This means you can’t adjust the amount of the recipe you are making either. Another issue is that if you have multiple steps and it uses the same ingredient in two different parts it jut combines it. For example, a cake recipe that includes frosting. If they both include 1 cup of sugar it will just say 2 cups of sugar for the cake which can get confusing. You can’t edit this either as it won’t let you enter the same ingredient twice. With this new update this app is pretty much useless. Unless you want something to simply hold the websites for all your recipes which you can easily do on the notes app don’t bother.

  5. 2/5Good idea, bad execution

    I love being able to import recipes. I heavily dislike the current setup. It is difficult to manage and create recipes. Editing imported recipes is a hassle because it glitches out. Sometimes when I try to delete words on the steps, the app will try to paste my clipboard. When trying to update a recipe with the correct ingredients and the correct amounts, it won’t save and update. Additionally, you can’t organize ingredients. You can’t sort them or move them around. You can’t have multiple of the same ingredient for the different parts of the recipe (e.g. using x amount of milk for making sauce and y amount of milk for marinating). It’s less of a hassle to just hand write the recipe at this point.
