5/5The BEST Recipe Manager
I’ve tried multiple recipe managers before and then I found Umami. The development of this app is phenomenal and the guy behind it is always adding new features. You can import recipes from other apps including Paprika, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, online links. You can create your own recipe totally from scratch. There’s a scan recipe option so you can even add things from prior texts by pointing your camera at it or importing photos. To organize recipes you can create folders but you can still search within a folder and throughout all your recipes. You can make grocery lists, meal plans, and also set timers within the app which I’m sure some people find helpful though I don’t use it much. When cooking within a recipe you can scale the recipe and add ingredients to shopping lists directly from there. When I went to medical school I was so busy and needed easy meals that can be portioned to one person and I truly credit Umami for helping me keep it all organized. I’ve been on this app for years now and have over 600 recipes saved. My lifetime subscription is literally the best thing I have ever purchased

5/5Finally!! Organizing recipes has never been easier…
For longer than I care to admit *cough*YEARS*cough*, I struggled with organizing the mountain of recipes I’d collected from various sources: recipes shared from other people, or online, or cookbooks, you name it. I had recipes in so many different places, it was frustrating and overwhelming trying to track everything down. I recently stumbled across recipe manager apps for the first time, and found Umami. I have been in heaven ever since!! I use Umami just about every single day. From the web app to the mobile app, it’s blissfully simple to incorporate and organize recipes online. I can even enter them manually by easily copy/pasting from Word docs and PDFs I’ve saved over the years. Finally, I’ve found something that will help me bring everything together in one space. I can make adjustments and add notes or recipe tweaks where needed, I can upload my own photos…. It’s amazing. All the frustration, all the wasted years, finally OVER! 🤩 Thank you so much!! P.S. - the free trial period and $20 lifetime access app purchase are highly worthwhile!

5/5Best Recipe App Out There
I am absolutely loving this recipe app! The intuitive navigation and clearly labeled buttons make it incredibly user-friendly, even for first-time users. The minimalist design and uncluttered layout contribute to a truly clean interface, making browsing recipes a pleasant experience. The ability to seamlessly import recipes directly from Instagram and various websites eliminates the tedious process of manual entry, saving so much time. Organizing my ever-growing collection is a breeze thanks to its effective tagging system and powerful search filters – locating that specific pasta recipe I saved months ago is now quick and easy. What truly sets this app apart is its pricing model. Unlike the numerous other recipe apps that lock their features behind costly monthly subscriptions, this app offers incredible value with its affordable one-time purchase. It's a fantastic alternative that provides all the features I need without the recurring expense or worry I’ll lose all my saved recipes if i decide to cancel an expensive subscription.

5/5Incredible App
I wish I would have had this app years ago. I had been saving my recipes for years on my browser favorites and there was no way to organize them efficiently. I had my browser recipes, word document recipes and the old school, food-stained notecard recipes. I saw this app mentioned on the local news as one of 4 reviewed so I looked at all of them and chose this one. After trying the URL import feature, the Instagram and Tik Tok import feature, the manual input feature, the Chrome extension for laptop, AND the scan feature for my handwritten recipes I was convinced this was the right one for me. When scanning the recipes the transcribing was ridiculously accurate (depending on your handwriting). Once transcribed to the app you can adjust servings, and it will automatically adjust your ingredient measurements. I am not one to pay for apps, but I didn’t even question the cheap lifetime subscription because cooking is something we do almost every day.

5/5Best Recipe App
This is a very comprehensive app for recipe storage and in my opinion is superior to the “traditional” ones that people mention such as Paprika, Whisk, etc. My goal was to have an app that had a cloud storage component as well as allowed for recipes to be “shared” with another person. We have a lot of physical cookbooks that we wanted to have in a digital format. We also wanted to be able to directly add recipes from a website as well. Many of the other apps out there offered some of these features, but not the whole spectrum of them. The most commonly missing feature among the competitor apps is the ability to share recipes with another user. This app is very streamlined with the “share” feature. I happened to find out via this app via a Reddit post after I had tried about 8 or so apps and was growing frustrated with not being able to find one that delivered exactly what I wanted. This app delivers and I am very glad I discovered it.
